Will smiled and laughed a little. "Well... I lived with my aunt and uncle in England for a while and then I just needed to get away from it all. I don't know if you ever feel like that..." He sighed and looked down to his lap.

Lacey smiled happily and looked back into his eyes. "Well... I live with my mother, of course. My grandmother lives with us. She is the complete definition of proper." She sighed and shook her head. "But, I love her to death. She's my inspiration for a lot of things. I wish to be like her someday. Just not as strict... and proper." She giggled a little. "And, I'm rambling."

Darcy nodded. "I know exactly how you feel." She paused and took a deep breath. "I ran away from Ireland. My family forced me into a marriage to a wealthy man. It was actually more of a business arrangement than a marriage. After we were wed he threw away all our money on gambling and drinking. Then he started on my parent's fortune. Our family name used to be rather prestigious in Ireland, but not any more. I left in the middle of the night and caught a boat to England. Here I earned money for passage onto Titanic." She took another deep breath and looked at Will, anxious to see how he would react to her confession.

Nate laughed. "It's alright. I ramble a lot myself." He shook his head. "Do you ever get tired of being proper? I've never lived with anyone that you would call exactly proper. It just does not seem like much fun."

Aaron was glad that Margaret returned his smile, but something told him that she still had the same attitude about men. "We all have our pasts," he said, "I come from a rather rough background myself. When you grow up on the streets you're forced to learn some skills of...questionable legality." He grimaced. He had been very skilled in the ways of the street. Being abandoned as a boy, he took up theivery at a very early age. "But I do hope to start a new life in America."

Will sighed and took her hand in his. "I... I'm sorry... you had it worse than I did." He told her softly and looked deeply into her eyes. He squeezed her hand slightly.

Lacey shook her head. "It's not fun. In fact, I'm not really allowed to have fun." She sighed and then looked down to the food that had been placed before them.

(I was gonna wait for some other people to post, but everyone just kinda stopped. So I'm gonna go ahead and hope everybody else jumps back in.)

Darcy squeezed Will's hand back. Then she thought abou letting go, but strangely holding his hand comforted her. She did not really want to think about what that could mean. Ever since her arranged marriage and the downfall of her house, she had been wary of men, but she could not help herself now. She continued to hold onto his hand. "It is really not so bad," she said with a shrug. It was only a small lie. "At least now I don't have all the resrtictions of society to deal with." She was grateful for that. She had enjoyed being rich as a girl because it got her everything she wanted, but as she matured she had realized there was more to life than money, possesions, and fancy parties.

Nate thought for a moment. He felt sorry for Lacey. He was sure being rich had its perks. No doubt about that. But he did not think she was exaggerating about not having any fun. Suddenly he had an idea. A mischeivous light appeared in his eyes. "I think I know just the thing for you," he said with a grin, "I know where there is going to be a great party tonight, with music and dancing. Now I'm sure it won't be the kind of party you're used to. So if you're chicken..." He looked at her playfully.

Will smiled and nodded. "Good!" He smirked and then looked down to his food. "Let's dig in! I'm starving! Besides, we have to hurry... I'm taking you somewhere tonight." He smiled and didn't look at her, so he wouldn't crack and end up telling her.

Lacey smirked to Nate and watched him closely. "Chicken? I don't believe that word is even IN my vocabulary." She stuck her tongue out and then started eating her food.

Lilliana nodded her head as Aaron spoke. She understood where he was coming from.

"They say we all deserve a second chance and that a fresh start awaits us all in America. I just wish I was looking forward to my future in the great Western Land. Alas, I am on a voyage towards a life in bonds. I shall become the property of a man I have never met before in a land I have never seen before" Lilliana said with a grim look on her face. A wave of pain flushed through her body and she clutched her belly, grimacing with agony.

"Maybe I should go lie down for awhile" she thought to herself.

Darcy studied Will over her cup as she took a drink. It was obvious he was trying not to look at her. "Taking me somewhere," she said warily, "This sounds interesting. I can tell by the look on your face that you do not plan on telling me anything about this."

Nate shrugged his shoulders. "I was just making sure," he said. Then he added playfully, "You never know with a pristine girl like yourself." He took a bite of his food. "Your really gonna love this. I'm sure of it."

Aaron watched Lilliana with sympathy. "Maybe something will happen," he said reassuringly, "Things aren't always what they seem." He looked at Margaret to let her know that he directed his comment to her too. Then he looked back at Lilliana. She seemed to be in pain. "Is something wrong?" he asked her.

Lilliana gave Aaron a weak but grateful smile as he spoke reassuringly to her.

"Yes I..." she started as another wave of pain flowed through her stomach. "I had a slight..." she clutched her belly yet again "...accident before" she said through clenched teeth. "The pain should... subside... soon I think" she said and looked around the room nervously hoping nobody was paying attention to her.

"I must not let anybody here know I am with child" she thought to herself.

Will looked to Darcy for a brief moment and smirked. "You are correct, Miss Darcy." He chuckled and took another bite out of his food. He was really excited about tonight. He just hoped that Darcy would have a good time with it.

Lacey stared at him, with an almost astonished look. "Pristine? Alright..." She shook her head and looked down to her food. "I'll show you pristine..." She mumbled under her breath. She started eating her food.

Darcy smirked back at Will and began eating. She tried to think of what he could be surprising her with tonight. "I don't even get a hint?"

Nate laughed at Lacey's surprise. He couldn't wait to see what she would do to try and prove that she was not pristine. That should be interesting. "I was only kidding you know," he said with a chuckle.

Aaron felt concerned for Lilliana. She looked as if she was in quite a bit of pain. He nodded when she said that it would subside, but still kept an eye on her to make sure everything was alright. "You sure you don't need a doctor?"

(Does anyone know if Mari is still around? I PMed her, but she hasn't responded.)

Will looked back up to Darcy and shrugged. "Well, if I did give you one, it would be really easy to guess... as soon as we get there, you'll know what we're doing." He smiled and went back to eating his food.

Lacey looked back to Nate and shook her head. "No, you weren't..." She then looked back down to her food and ate more.
