Femi approached the battle, circling high above on Echo.

"There are a lot of them." Echo said, gazing down with her bright blue eyes.

"We will go down, I'll try and get the latest off somebody." Femi replied, her voice soft.

Echo nodded and blew out a cloud of smoke, before dipping down.

"There's Shade, go to him." Femi said after they'd gone lower.

Shade felt another presence and then Midnight did also. Shade looked over and saw Femi, an very old friend of his near him. He pointed for her to go down and then asked Midnight to do the same. Midnight dipped low and sighed angrily. He was looking forward to the ride.

Semri, Evlyn, Rano and Jemx contiued in thier deadlock. The two women strugeling to defeat the other, the Dragons fighting the girp the other had on its neck. The group span though the sky towrds the others.

Wyvern spotted an opening and shot like a silver arrow down to the ground where he knew the black dragon and his thieving rider to be, though the moon was dimmed by a cloud and he could not see exactly where. Merrin clutched him tightly, but as he hit the ground clumsily her grip was broken and she flew through the air over Wyvern's head, landing hard on the ground on her back. She gasped for air, winded.

Kendath glimpsed a silver streak shoot through the air, headed right for him. His injured wing still furled, Demon started and awkwardly leaped back. His crimson eye glittered as he warily scrutinized the silver dragon's every move.

Then, to Kendath's utter amazement, the female rider pitched clear over her dragon's head to land, vulnerable, on the ground. With phlegmatic indifference, he dismounted and unsheathed his jeweled falchion.

Wyvern looked as disoriented as Merrin, peering around until he found the black dragon. He started forward, baring his teeth, as the human unsheathed his weapon, though the black dragon was larger than he by no small margin.

Merrin herself did not see the rider until he dismounted, and scrambled to her feet groping for her sword hilt - but it was gone, the strap cut through in the air and the sword lost. She let her hand fall, looking warily at him.

Kendath registered that the young woman had no weapon, but nevertheless continued advancing. When the silver dragon bared its teeth, he stopped, realizing his mistake. Down on the ground, he was vulnerable as well. Though Demon may have been larger and more fearsome in appearance, the silver wyrm was no small foe.

Meanwhile Demon rumbled deep in his throat. He crouched behind his rider, pure loathing undulating from him in waves.

"Wyvern," warned Merrin in a low voice, having no wish for him to get carried away and attack the larger, older dragon. She hesitated, thinking how best to approach the situation. "I fear I find myself weaponless," she finally said, addressing the rider. "Besides Wyvern here, that is. I - I suppose the withholding of hostilities on your part would be a thing not to be expected?" she then ventured, one hand on Wyvern's silver scales.

"That I cannot answer. I am in the dark in this war and it's current death toll and our warriors shape, I'm sorry to say."

"Then all we can do is help and save our own, even if that means fighting. Wouldn't you agree?" Femi asked with caution. She was not 100% sure on Shade's take on war, although she'd known him for years.
