Another RPG, out of bordom of a rather overcast evening, and inspiration from a newly read book.
----------------------------------------------------------------
He had the crown. He had the power. He had the glory. He had the respect. And now, he had nothing. And to make things worse, he had bounty hunters from the world across on his tail, day and night, every waking and sleeping hour, hunting him.
Twenty year old Drandell Avicks, Prince of Resvahn, is running for his life. After his father died, and an arch mage, Miajan, declared himself king, His life has been a complete nightmare. Miajan is offering a huge reward for Drandell's body. Exept, he has to be alive. Bounty hunters are everywhere, watching his every move, and even the common people are ready to spring the trap at any given moment. Everyone is in it for the money. Its all about the fact that, if Drandell returns, it means trouble for Miajan. At least, thats what everyone thinks.
But behind the palace walls, beneath hidden doors, down old tunnels, and past the dongeons lay the real secret. The tyrants bane. A sword, it is rather simple in appearence to the common viewer, but a spell enchants it for all time.
Long ago, the ancient kings of Resvahn were attacked by tyrants - elemental demons - and were almost overtaken completely. But their mages and warriors and all of their people managed to defeat them. Not by death, but by locking them up under their beloved city, never to come again. But then, they agian, had tyrants come and try to overthrow the throne. But this time, they were human. So the arch mage (Loyal to the king) placed a great and terrible enchantment upon the fallen king's sword, saying, that if the bloodline of the king should be broken, the demons once closed up under Resvahn would be released to torture Resvahn for as long as the Tyrant lived, only to go back into their abyss if a new, pure hearted king was appointed.
And that enchantment, or curse, is exactly why the mage Firondel went into hiding. Her grandfather's grandfather was the one to place the enchantment. And though generations passed, she was still looked down upon as a curse herself.
But in her solitude and hiding, she can do what no one else can. Call for help amoung the people, unnoticed. So she sent out letters; messages, to nine people she had found worthy and loyal amoung the citizens of Resvahn. She dosen't know them and hasn't met them, but she knows they will help the prince out of his living hell and into his rightful place. Or else, let fire rain from the heavens.
