Aina winced as the spikes touched the soft skin of her arm, and as it pierced the skin in a few places, she bit her lip to keep from crying out as tears gathered at the sides of her eyes.
"I really, really don't know!" She screamed desperately.

"I'm not really sure," Ahearn replied. "Anyone is welcome, I know Aaron for sure is, though. I walked off before anyone had a real chance to answer." He stood. "Well, the morning is quickly leaving us. I'm going to go get ready."

In less than an hour, he and a his horse were waiting in a clearing, waiting for others, ready to go.

For most of the night Muirin had been scouting the area, looking for any signs of the Dark Lord. During that time, she caught word of a group who was forming a sort of search party. She looked on at the other clansmen from afar. They were all older than her, but not by much. Her grandfather would understand her absence. She resolved to go along. After all, she could be quite useful at times.

Muirin briskly walked over to the gathered group. "I wish to join you," she said to no one in particular. Her voice was soft and nervous, and her dark eyes darted from person to person. It wasn't often that she interacted with her fellow clansmen.

Declan walked up to the group, leading his horse. "I will join you as well." he said. He had left his harp behind, carrying his weapons instead. His horse tossed his head and whickered softly, catching the humans' nervousness.

('kay, I'm back!)

Ahearn glanced around the group, then nodded.
"Get mounted, and let's go!"
Swinging up onto his horse, he nodded to Aaron to lead the way...

Aaron came back to the group, riding his horse. He nodded back to Ahearn, and spurred his horse into a canter. Soon they came to the spot where he had first seen the Dark Lord's minions with Aina.

The Dark Lord wasn't supprised by the girl's tactic. "I don't know," was a famous frase amung totured souls. The guards were about to tighten the brace thing when he stopped them.
"Leave it like that, and put her in her cell," he said, and walked away...

Ahearn dismounted his horse and looked around the area, checking for any signs. Not finding any, they moved on, growing closer to Aina every minute.

Aina glared up at the Dark Lord, the tears still welling up in her eyes. Her arm throbbed, and she couldn't get the thought that there were metal spikes in her arm that she couldn't shake off.
As he turned his back to stalk off, Aina tried one more time. "Look, I don't know why you don't believe me!" She said, sinking down to her knees. "Just because I know the leaders of the rebellion doesn't mean I know anything about it!"
The guards began to haul her off to her cell, none to gently...

Aaron, who had been ahead slightly, bent down in the saddle, his head next to his horse's neck. He was scanning the ground for traces of the Dark Lord's Henchmen and Aina. He stopped suddenly, and dismounted.
"From the camp to here they must have been in the trees. But these trees aren't strong enough anymore, so they must have been on foot from here on. I see no horse's hooves. So, unless the Dark Lord's stronghold is near, we may catch them by dusk, by the look of these tracks," he said, then mounted.

The Dark Lord ignored the girl's cries, and went to his throne room again and sat on his comfy chair.
"Send the Truth-Sayers to the girl to see if she's a liar or not," he comanded to a servant, who nodded and quickly ran off. A few minutes later two old men, both hunchbacked, with long beards that nearly reached the floor came into Aina's cell. One had a black robe with white beard, the other a white robe with black beard. Both were bald and had long eyebrows, almost as long as their beards...

Ahearn nodded and rode at Aaron's side, urging his horse onward at the fastest gallop she could manage.

"Lets see if she tells the truth," said the white bearded one.
"Yes. We are truth sayers, youngin'. Now, what do you say about where the rebel camp is?" asked the second one as the first one started chanting something and drawing glyphs in the air with his fingers...
