<center>The Lifestream... ...Thats what we call the river of life the circles our planet. Giving life to the world and everything in it. The Shin'ra electric power company discovered a way to use the lifestream as an energy source. Because of Shin'ra's energy, we were able to live very comfortable lives. But alot of people thought that doing so took away from the planet's life. Shin'ra used this power to try and stop anybody that got in their way. Shin'ra had a special group of warriors called SOLDIER. And all of the SOLDIERs had Janova cells put inside them. Janova was a calamity that fell from the sky a long long time ago, and tried to destroy the planet. Anyway, there was one SOLDIER name Sephiroth, who was one of the best. But when he found out about the terrible experiments that made him, he began to hate Shin-ra. And then, over time, he began to hate everything. So Shin'ra, the people who opposed Shin'ra, and Sephiroth who wanted to destroy the world, fought against each other for the life of the world and the Lifestream...</center> By Eruraina and Nymphadora Tonks Plot: The beginning paragraph pretty much sums it up. You play as either a member of Shin'ra(a Turk), or a member of AVALANCE which is the group opposing Shin'ra. Both are fighting to take down Sephiroth, but are also fighting each other. This is loosely based off of Final Fantasy VII's plot, with some of the same characters. OC's are allowed and encouraged, as are taking Cannon Characters. We start off with AVALANCHE leaving Midgar after rescuing two members from Shin'ra. Shin'ra/Turks: Shin'ra is a company that pretty much has power all over the world. They have three kinds of forces. Regular military, Turks, and SOLDIERS. Please, no SOLDIERS, only x-SOLDIERS if you want to be. A Turk is also a special fighting, but are not as strong as SOLDIERs. They're like FBI, you could say. They always wear black suites. Regular militia are just like foot soldiers. Shin-ra has plenty to spare, but they don't play big parts. Mako: Mako is what you could call energy or magic. There are three stages in the process of it. It starts out as the Lifestream, then with 'Mako reactors' the power is taken from the Lifestream and turned into mako. It is in a gas/liquid form. If crystalized into spheres is is called materia which is magic. Each kind of materia holds a different kind of magic. Yellow casts lightings, blue: water, green: bio/poison, white: frost/blizard, brown: Earth and so on. Lol, never would have believed that some would actually put up a FF7 rp, cool. I´ll take Rude(cause karrigan came in and wanted reno, which I don`t mind), also I´ll throw in an OC just for the fun of it. Name: Abel Kincade Age: 25 Gender: Male Class: AVALANCHE Personality: Abel is a somewhat depressed person as he tends to prepare for the worst to happen and seems to suffer from serious paranoia yet otherwise he tends to seem like a normal person with a good sense of right and wrong. He doesn`t tolerate oppression of the weaker and seeks to protect them, one way or the other. Appearance: Short light brown hair, somewhat rugged features, average height and somewhat thin. Attire: Tan combat armor, which has some metallic reinforcements attached such as wrist armors for close combat and for attaching blades to them. Picture: http://images.epilogue.net/users/sedone ... orianB.jpg Home town: Junon Weapons: An assault rifle equipped with a grenade launcher, naturally a pack of grenades and a set of combat `knives`, varying in size, even a machete amongst them. History: Abel was born to a poor family in Junon and thus naturally it seemed like a viable option, that as soon as he could he would join the shinra army. Abel joined when 17 years of age, lying about his age yet still passing all tests and thus he was admitted into the ranks. He spent uneventful 4 years in the service before he was promoted and transfered to Midgar. Despite knowing the ugliness of life from before what he faced in Midgar sickened him. Despite the good wage he was given and treatment, he began to wonder the morality of his work as he sometimes was ordered to `maintain order`, which involved beating up people and a number of other brutal tactics. At the age of 24 Abel had proved to be an efficient killer and was promoted to sergeant yet it was not going to wash away his guilt or depression. Just so happened at this time he began to heavily take to the bottle and visited various bars in the slums. One day he stumbled upon the AVALANCHE`s hideout 7th heaven, all tough at the time he had no clue, that the bar was a front. Afterwards he came back frequently as he `liked` the athmosphere and the fact, that he wasn`t thrown out for his constant blabbering about how his line of work sucked or why he even signed up in the first place. The rest is not too hard to figure out how he came to join AVALANCHE. |

No, that's alright! Like I said, it's based loosely on the plot, so thinking up twist turning ideas is allowed, lol. The plot of the actual game is so long and complicated, it'd be hard not to follow it loosely. I think I'll do a bio for my two Cannons, for those who don't know them. Name: Cloud Strife Age: 20 Gender: male Class: AVALANCHE member Apperance: tall and muscular, blonde hair, glowing blue eyes(trait of a SOLDIER) Attire: Mostly blues and blacks. He became a first class SOLDEIR, and at sixteen he and Sephiroth went on a mission to Nibelheim to check out the Mako reactor there. That's when Sehpiroth found out about the experiments that made him, and turned. They found Jenova in the reactor. Sephiroth took the head of Jenova and tried to get away, but Cloud got in his way, and made Sehpiroth and Jenova's head fall into the Lifestream, only that wasn't the end of Sephiroth. Cloud was badly wounded, but healed, and eventually joined AVALANCH in Midgar when working for them while being a mercinary. He still appears, physically, as he did nearly 30 years ago. Once a member of Shinra's elite special ops force, known as the Turks, Vincent was assigned to protect Shinra scientists in Nibelheim, the site of the now infamous "Jenova Project". During the course of his assignment there, he fell in love with a young research assistant named Lucrecia Crescent. Formerly an assistant to Vincent's father, Lucrecia had unwittingly been the cause of his death. Using tainted mako energy from the Fountain of Chaos, a site she discovered with Dr. Valentine during her research into the legend of Chaos and Omega, Lucrecia effectively stopped the decay of Vincent's body, allowing him to survive. His life, however, came at a high price, for in exposing him to the tainted mako, Vincent became host to Chaos. Overwelmed by Chaos' presence, Vincent lost himself completely for a time. Determined to save him, Lucrecia implanted a form of materia that she discovered with Dr. Valentine in the same grotto as the Fountain of Chaos, called Protomateria. The materia calmed Chaos, and eventually, Vincent regained control... but by then, both Hojo and Lucrecia were long gone from Nibelheim. When Cloud left Nibelheim to join Shinra's military branch, Soldier, Tifa asked him to make her a promise. She asked that if she were ever in trouble that he would come for her. Years later, Tifa also left Nibelheim, and settled in the city of Midgar, where she opened the Seventh Heaven Bar in the Sector 7 Slums. It was here that she met Barret Wallace, and became a member of Avalanche, a rebel group fighting to save the planet from the Shinra Company's planet-killing energy extraction. The last person she expected to meet again was Cloud, but meet him she did, when he hired on as a paid mercenary to help the rebels. Something, however, was very wrong. Things Cloud should remember, he didn't. And things that he should have had no knowledge of, he could describe in detail. Yet still, he was Cloud, and until she could figure out what was going on, she was inclined to treat him as a friend. When Sephiroth, a man both she and Cloud were all too familiar with, reappeared and began to put in motion a plan that would bring about the destruction of humanity, Tifa committed herself to a new fight to save the planet. Okay, my OC! This coming Monday I'll start the rpg! Name Serenia Tri'neas Age 21 Gender female Class AVALANCHE member Apperance longish red hair, brown eyes, average height, slightly slender, but in shape Attire blue halter-top shirt, black shorts, blue skirt that's shorter than the shorts in the fronts, and goes past her knees in the back. Even with the lack of money and things, it was still a happy childhood full of exploring and play fights with her friends in the village. One of these was a boy named Zack Fair, who eventually went to Midgar to become a SOLDIER. Serenia soon after also goes to Midgar for better schooling and to work for Shinra. She became one of Shinra's top training simulator designer and maintainers at a young age. At the age of 18, Serenia witnessed how brutal the Shinra army were to the people of Midgar durring a trip to the slums. Slowly she began to dispise her job, and grudge Shinra. After a few months a freak "accident" happened with the training simulators, killing a few military persionel. This "accident" ended in Serenia getting fired from Shinra. Serenia was fine with that and started a small delivery service. It was during this time that she found out about AVALANCHE, and joined the group to fight Shinra for the lifestream. |

Sorry for the double post.... Yikes, I hadn't meant Monday two weeks later... but life's been hectic for me! My Summer so far has been... interesting... lol! Okay, so here we go! Starting! ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Cloud glanced over his shoulder, checking for the millionth time to make sure no one had followed them out of Midgar. But he knew, just beyond his line of site, they were being pursued. He knew little of this Rufus Shinra, but from their short encounter, Cloud got the impression that he wouldn't stop for anything. He was hoping to get to Junon in a few days. Cloud walked quietly at the back of the group, blue eyes watching the others. Midgar was only a day behind them, but that wasn't far enough for him to feel comfortable. And infront of them somewhere was Sephiroth... |

Amongst the group there was another, who shared Cloud`s concern for being hunted by the Shinra after what they had done in Midgar. Abel Kincade`s fingers impatiently tapped against the clip of his assault rifle, that hanged from a belt around his shoulder and neck. Abel had been used to paranoia like this, but he had never felt it at such a magnitude as there were two factors concerning their escape, that made him uneasy. First of all there was the new Shinra leader, Rufus, who had taken reigns after his father had died and secondly there was the fact, that they were out in the middle of nowhere between Midgar and Junon. Yet at least the homecoming was a comforting thing and seeing his family in a while might be nice. They might not approve of his new life, but at least they were blood related and Shinra couldn`t buy something like that. Abel gazed around at the rest of the group with a slight grin as he wondered how they were holding up with the situation, he knew that they were tough, but things to come might be quite the rough ride. |

((AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! LAS!!!!!!!!!!!! YOUR BACK!!!!!!! *tacklehugs*)) (I'll start with both Tifa and Vincent, if you don't mine, Eur, rather than bring Vinc in later.) Tifa Lockhearts stood with the group, looking at Cloud until he turned at walked back. She sighed, feeling his anxiousness, and ran her fingers through her long hair. She was fidgety, waiting to get back on the move. There was work to be done, she didn't like waiting around. Vincent Valentine, stood farther off from the group than nessasay, noticalbe so, black hair falling into his face, not total blocking his red eyes. He was quiet a daunting figure, wrapped in his red cloak, and anyone with half a mine would have since to fear him. In his own mind, he was nothing but a monster, with or without the Chaos harbored within him. He was stock still, eyes flashing around the surrounding area. He sooner they got a move on, the better. |

(Well, first off, it'd be hard to not be a SOLDIER without wanting to be. Because you have to work really hard, and only certain people become SOLDIERs. Maybe she could have become a SOLDIER, found she didn't like the job and joined AVALANCHE. (and technically both Sehpiroth and Cloud are SOLDIERs who are traitors(Cloud not so much to be revealed)). And sure you can join! The more the marrier!) The group continued on. Cloud wanted to quicken the pace, but it really wasn't his choice. Barret was the leader of AVALANCHE, and Cloud hoped that the big man with a gun for his right arm would make the right desiscions. But right now his priority was finding Sephiroth. Idly he stared off to the direction of Junon, unsure of the futur. ~~~~~ Serenia couldn't shake the urge that they were being watched. She was amid the group, looking in every direction as they walked. She fingered the hilt of her scimitar at her waste. The hair on the back of her neck was sticking up. She glanced around at the others. Did they feel like they were being watched too, she wondered. Soon they were entering a forested area. Anything or anybody could be lurking in the shadows... (We'll be skipping ahead here or there to skip long travel scenes. If it's alright with everyone, of course.) |
