Just thought I'd try my hand at this. The year is 1756, 10 years after the Second Jacobite Rising. England has tightened her grip on her colonies, and dissatisfaction is growing. In the city of Edinburgh, a patriotic Scottish pirate gathers a crew to strike against England from the sea. The time for England's punishment is at hand. My Character Name: Alexander MacGregor Age:24 Physical Description: Shoulder legnth brown hair, tanned skin. Alexander has a crooked nose from a brawl as a boy, and a small scar above his left eyebrow. He wears a plain white shirt, a great kilt, stockings, and boots that reach to his mid calf. Weapons: Scottish flintlock pistol, a dirk, basket-hilted claymore, and a sgian dubh. History: Born in a small village in the northern MacGregor lands, Alexander grew up influenced by his diehard Jacobite father Cameron. During the Second Jacobite Rising, Cameron was one of the first to enlist in Bonnie Prince Charlie's army. However, when Alex was 14, the final blow was struck at Culloden, and his father was killed. With membership of Clan MacGregor declared a hanging offence, Alexander prepared to flee to safety. However, the Hanoverian troops were a step ahead of him. During the night, the English soldiers raided the village, meaning to evict the Highlanders by force. However, many resisted, and the encounter turned bloody. Alex's mother, a MacDonald of Glen Coe, and therefore a traitor, was ravished and shot by the English soldiers, Alexander himself barely made it out alive while his grandfather covered his escape. Watching the carnage, he saw every inhabitant of the village hanged or captured, and the entire settlement razed to the ground. Swearing vengeance, Alex ran to MacLeod lands, taking thier name and living as one of them. When he was 20, he aquired a traditional flintlock pistol, a sword, dirk, sgian dubh, and clad himself in his clan's tartan, breaking every law the English had set down. Remebering Prince Charlie's failure at fighting the English on land, he procured a ship, and set out to find a crew willing to punish England. As a final defiance, he again took up the name MacGregor, giving himslef a death sentence should he fail. |

Ok, here's my bio: name: Levania Karelle age: 20 physical description: light auburn hair that goes to about her mid back, she has light brown eyes, and tanned skin. She stands around 5'5", and is physically fit. She usually wears a red top, with a brown corset thing over it, black gloves, and brown trousers, as well as worn leather boots. pic: http://hito76.deviantart.com/art/Karell ... e-65506177 weapons: two plain pistols, a dagger, and a sword. history: Levi was born into a poor family in Ireland as the youngest of seven siblings. She was raised on a farm, and taught to work hard. Though the land they worked belonged to a landlord, and not them. Eventually, when she was 17, her family got tired of not having their own land and went to the new world. But at port Levi was seperated from her family in the crounds, and found she didn't like the new world very much. So she tried to sneak aboard a ship in order to get back to Ireland, not realizing it was really a pirate ship in disguise. A few days out on sea, Levania was descovered. But with a little pursuasion, she made a deal with the captain. Working on a farm with a large family, she knew how to cook. She would cook the pirates meals in exchange for her life(and virginity). Levi didn't help in any of the maurading or anything, she just kept to the kitchen most of the time. For three years she lived like this, until she jumped ship at a port to try and find a real life for herself... |

Name: Megan (everyone calls her Meg) Age: 21 Gender: Female Appearance: black hair (to middle back, is usually in a ponytail), blue eyes, cat-like appearance (like the elves of Alagaesia) Attire: a loose blue shirt, brown trousers, (no shoes except when they go on land) Weapons: a curved sword, a couple daggers, two pistols History: She was born to a wealthy family in London. Her mother died when she was 13. Her father was going to marry her off to a high-up military man when she ran away. She fell in love with the sea, found a pirate ship, and became a memorable swordswoman. How's that? |
