Halia turned towards the trail they were following and squinted to see as far down as she could. Hopping off momentarily, she placed her head to the ground and closed her eyes. Ariath stomped his foot and she turned to glare at him while he looked back with a look of pure innocence. Leaning back down to listen she heard vagely the trampling of feet, barely a murmer of what lay ahead, running into the unknown. She stood and said, " They seem to be 2 days ahead of us, although we need not hurry as much, they aren't going anywhere important, they are only running." She then hopped back on Ariath and began picking twigs out of his mane.

"Right now they dont' know where to go," Nestaron said. "Let's just hope they don't find a raod to follow, or even worse... a village."

He looked down at Syndar as the horse gave a muffled nicker. Nestaron patted him gently on the side of the neck.

"We should bring the bush-rat with us and put it over the fire tonight."

Feredir rode up to the other two with the bush-rat in hand. "It looked bigger from here."feredir said with disapointment in his voice. He then rapped the bush-rat in an old cloth that had previously been used for lambas, and stuck it in his saddle bag. "shall we continue?" Feredir said retoricaly.

Halia smiled and nudged Ariath who took of on a quick trot, glad to be moving again. The fog had cleared and the sun was high in the sky and the group could see for miles. Up ahead lay a line of trees running across their path. "There might be a stream there, lets hope the water is running and not contaminated by the orcs filth"

"If were lucky it will be a running stream and we will be able to go up-stream of the orc's crossing," Nestaron added in agreement.

He urged his horse on, walking hima little faster. Before long they were approaching the tree-line. The sun was sinking low in the sky as they entered the forest.

"I can hear water," Nestaron said. "Perhaps we should camp by the stream tonight once we have found it."

"I agree" Feredir nodded. As they rode closer the sound of water got louder. "Sounds like there id a water fall close by." He added. As they rode closer Sadronniel started to become slightly jumpy. "Easy girl" Feredir said to try to calm her down. He then started talking softly to her in elvish.

Halia nodded her agreement with Nestaron and looked quickly at Feredir's horse as she jumped. Ariath snorted and looked at Sadronniel and tensed. "Nebel lilliri Ariath" she said quietly to her horse as he settled and flicked his ears back and forth. "We should head up stream to find a good place to camp, camping in the orc-path is not a wise idea. We may not be the only ones following this road"

"Agreed," Nestaron said witha nodd.

He lead Syndar on, along side the stream. The large horse pranced slightly at the smell of orcs, but less from fright and more fromanticipating battle. The large war horse had learned long ago that the orc stench meant battle was near.

As they rode along the found a good spot to camp, It was up on a large rock where they could see all the surounding areas. "This looks like a good spot." Feredir said.

Halia pulled Ariath to a stop and and looked around. The rock had a flat place on top, but was still defensable if they were attacked. Halia hopped of Ariath and said" I am going to scout the area to see if any orcs ventured either way into these woods, or went straight through." Ariath started to follow her but she turned and said "Tamip'olad Ariath" and continued down the trail. Ariath snorted but stayed and looked up at Nestaron, blinking expectantly.

"Don't look at me," Nestaron told Ariath.

"I'll head out and fill our water. I may see if I can find some herbs or plants around that we can eat as well." Nastaroth said, climbing off Syndar and unloading his packs.

He hjeaded down the rock and towards the stream, keeping an eye out for any plants that might be eatable on the way.

Feredir set up the tents while Nestaron and Halia were away. After the tents were all set up he started gathering up wood from around the camp site to use for fire wood, leaving Sadronniel with the other two horses.

Nestaron made his wy down to the river, filling their water containers from the coolest and clearest part of the stream.

On his way back, however, he discovered a disturbing matter. Tracks, but not orc tracks. These tracks, rather, seemed to also be tracking the rocs.

Halia watched the ground closely as she moved silently through the forest. No orcs had ventured from their mad dash, but there were, on top of the rambled pile of orc prints, strange prints of anther kind. Halia bent closer to examine them and glanced up quickly as she heard a twig snap. Drawing her long sword in a flash she looked intently where the sound came from, keeping still and crouched on the ground. A squirrel ran from the bush and up a tree and Halia laughed quietly and sheather her sword. Standing up she, headed back to the camp to tell the rest of her tracking party what she had found.

By the time Nestaron was getting back to camp with the fresh water he could see Halia returning int he distance.

He waited until she got there then informed the other two about the tracks he found.

"I wonder who else would be tracki the orcs?" Feredir inquired. "Could it be a party of men?"
