*Note - I made this RP a while back, but it sadly died. With a few others interest as well as mine own, I decided to revive it!
So, enjoy and please join!*((Okay, so I got this idea from Lynne Ewing's book series Daughters of the Moon. I just read the first book (out of 12 or 13) in the series and loved in and I thought it would make a great RPG. So, here it is, the basic idea:))
Info:
Sometimes people are called outcasts, weirdos, freaks. People who are out-of-the-norm, so to speak. Different. Unique, I like to think. Special, in some cases, or just plain weird, in others.
Or Gifted.
I am one of those few.

Long ago, the moon goddess, Selena, watched over the earth and followed the sun, going through her 8 phases over and over again. Then, one evening, she saw a good sheep herder, a mortal man, on earth and instantly fell in love. She went down to him and lay with him for 3 nights before returning to the skies. Zeus grew angry with her and cursed the mortal with enternal, everlasting sleep. Selena grew angry and sorrowful, but that would not stop her love for him and 3 days out of each month, she would go down to him and try to wake him. As time passed, Selena bore 8 children down to earth, each to have hope and protect the world from an evil that was formed from the 3 days of moonless night.
That is where our story begins.
Plot:
Present day downtown in Chicago, 8 teenagers live peacefully, each with completely different personalities, looks, lives, and ideas, but each with two things in common; a) they each have a pendant of the moon that they always wear and b) they each have a rare ability that labels that as different. Each one lives knowing about this ability, practicing using it and trying to hide it from the world, but unknowning of why they have it or what their purpose is, until one night, they all have a dream to go and visit a woman, a woman who will answer all their questions...and unite them all to fight the hidden evil in the shadows.
