“Stay down…” Barbossa warned, pushing the girls back onto the deck. Dislocated arm or not, they had to remain in his position for just a while longer. Even his warnings didn’t stop Vari’s head from shooting up as she heard Jack yelling at really no one in particular. But her bemused look was suddenly replaced with horror as she watched her captain hit the deck face first and remain unmoving. “JACK!” The dark-haired girl forcefully tried to escape Barbossa’s grasp, kicking and writhing, but he only held tighter. “Calm yerself, lass!” Vari only continued to wriggle and squirm until his grasp was only around her waist - she was almost free… “Belay that!” he yelled, grabbing the defiant girl by the ankle and trying to pull her back, but the only thing Vari could think of was getting to the captain. And so a swift kick to Hector’s face was enough to get him to release her.

Through gritted teeth, Hector growled curses at the foolish woman as he felt bruises beginning to form on his cheek and forehead. His lip was split and beginning to bleed, but the pain was overcome by fiery anger. That foolish child was in more danger than she could ever imagine, and it wouldn’t take long for her to find out. Just as Vari had just passed by the main mast when a second explosion rocked the ship, sending everyone to their knees, if they weren’t in such a position previously.

The foremast quickly caught fire, the entire wooden piece going up in flames, cracking and shaking dangerously. In a split second it was severed from its base on the front of the ship and it came crashing down, slowing only when it became caught in the mainmast, the black sails becoming torn and tattered.

With a burst of adrenaline, Vari flew over to Jack, pushing his limp body out of the way as the mast hit the deck with a thundering crash! The ends of her toes just barely missed being crushed beneath the 400 pounds of splintered and burnt wood. Shaking from head to toe, she looked over her shoulder to see that many soldiers and fellow crewmates had met their death while others were taking their final breaths as the air was crushed out of their lungs. Trembling, Vari turned back to Jack as tears filled her eyes, long strands of hair creating a curtain over her face. She doubled over, letting out muffled sobs against his back in both fear and relief.

-------------------

Below deck, everything was dead silent, save for the crackling of flames. Soren blinked through double vision, groaning softly as pain shot through his entire body. It was obvious that he had been badly burned, but to still be alive and breathing was all that mattered. Atop him lay Dante, who’d still not gained consciousness, but as Soren placed an arm around his lover it was clear the dark-haired man was still breathing shallow breaths. “Dante - Gallows…” Soren breathed, stroking Dante’s dirty and bloodied face with shaking fingertips. How they had managed to survive was a complete mystery to the blond man, but he was grateful nonetheless for the both of them, and for the fact that the ship had been short-stocked on gunpowder. Things could have gone a lot worse.

What the hell, why am I on the ground? This was the first thought that flitted through Aurora-Rose's mind when she came into consciousness once more. A stinging sensation caused her eyes to close as soon as they opened and she reached up to feel a deep gash just below her left eye and when she pulled her fingers away there was blood. "Great..." she murmured, pushing herself off the ground with great effort. Every part of her body ached and it did not help that her lungs were filled with smoke and gunpowder, more than usual.

When A-Rose got stable she saw just a ways from her Vari and Jack. Vari seemed quite upset and so she made her way as quickly as she could, avoiding stepping on the dead and charred bodies. "Hey... Vari? Varianna?" Her hand rested on her friends shoulder, offering some comfort.

----

So this was how it was going to end. At least he died in his lover's arms, he couldn't think of a better way to go. Actually he could, but that was going to stay locked away in the pervy side of his mind. A silent memory to keep for the eternity he would now spend in death.

Though he felt pain, wasn't it said that everything was better in the after life? Pain and smoke and an extremely heavy weight. This just didn't seem right, a groan left him at the sound of a familiar voice. Soren's voice calling his name...

He fought like hell to listen to that voice and only that voice and soon he found himself waking up. So this wasn't the end. Thank god, Dante was far from ready to give himself over to Davy Jones. Letting his entire being wake up he found all the answers, the pain was from the cuts and burns he felt all over his body, the smoke was from the exploded gunpowder and burning wood, finally the weight was a large piece of timber or some sort of metal sheilding them from what would have been a terrifying death.

"Soren... " Dante rolled his body just a bit but there was an extreme pain in his side. Looking down he saw that he had a shard of glass piercing his abdomen. "We're alive!" Although he was in a hell of a lot of pain it didn't matter, they had made it. Leaning down he pressed his lips to Dante's and kissed him briefly, then collapsing in pain once more.

Andrea couldn’t help but scream in agony as she was slammed back down onto the deck. She was beginning to feel sick and she couldn’t quite catch her breath. Hearing Varianna screaming for Jack she managed to roll over onto her stomach, crying out again when she hit her shoulder.

“Vari!” She tried to get her friend’s attention, but to no avail. She just about managed to avoid the desperate girl’s foot as she kicked out and winced when she heard it make contact with Hector’s face. She watched in terror as Varianna broke free and ran into the path of the falling foremast. “VARI!” She screamed desperately as the mast hit the deck with thundering crash, concealing the girl’s fate from her eyes. She needed to get to her, she needed to see if she was alright. As much as she tried though, she couldn’t. She was stopped by Hector weight on top of her and the unbearable pain in her shoulder.

Guinevere hauled herself up to her feet as she watched the very definition of hell breaking loose. The air was filled with black fog and flames, and the mast had now snapped and gone crashing down onto the deck. Her arm, which Cairbre had bandaged up, still hurt horribly. There seemed no question, no question at all, the crew’s fate was sealed, that they were all going to die.

She had never thought it would happen like this. At least, she’d always hoped she’d die when she was an old woman, in a beautiful house, surrounded by a lifetime’s worth of plundered wealth. But it seemed it wasn’t going to happen like that. She stumbled slightly, hearing anguished, familiar voices carry over her. She could hear Andrea calling out for Vari, and Guin frowned, looking around for the direction her voice came from.

Clutching her arm, she hobbled across the deck, just missing a shard of flaming wood which had shattered off from the mast, but was stopped by Cairbre’s hand on her shoulder.
“Guinevere! It’s not safe!”
“Let me go.” She shoved his hand off and watched as the light died in his eyes. She might have felt guilty if she hadn’t been so determined; as it was, she wanted to find as many of their crewmates as possible. “We’re probably going to die anyway, so we might as well die doing something useful. You’re coming with me. No arguments.”

Guin darted across the flaming wreckage of the deck, tripping over a dead redcoat, with Cairbre following close. She saw Andrea and Hector, and bent down with some difficulty. She could see that the blonde girl was hurt, and she knelt down properly.
“Sorry, Hector,” she said, with a wheezing cough, and pushed the first mate off, none too gently in her haste. She pulled Andrea up into a sitting position. “Are you alright?” She coughed again, feeling as if she was running out of air. “I can snap that back in place for you…” she gestured to the girl’s shoulder, “…but it’ll hurt like the devil.”
“Guin!” Cairbre hovered behind her anxiously. “Do you really think you’re in a fit state to fix a dislocated shoulder?”
Guin ignored him and clutched her own arm; it’s wound was bleeding through the material Cairbre had used to bandage it. Her fingertips came away red.
“As fine as I’ll ever be,” she said finally.

Rosalind jumped over the fallen mast towards Vari, Jack and Aurora-Rose. Vari was weeping, and the captain seemed awfully limp. She knelt down beside the two girls, her features stricken with anxiety. She had left Guin and Cairbre behind, knowing they’d be alright. Knowing Guinevere, she’d be running round the deck looking for survivors even if she was half-dead. “Is he alright?” she gestured to the captain uncertainly. It was a rhetorical question more than anything else. “Here.” She brushed back her black hair and reached out to take Jack’s wrist; she could feel a pulse, but the man’s eyes remained unopened.

Christine and Gibbs had been lucky to duck out of the way of the mast before it gave way, unfortunately they had been unlucky in their choice of landing directly next to a lantern which cracked as the two of them fell forward. Oil spilled out onto them and flame quickly followed.

Christine's luck seemed to have run out completely as her injured arm sustained another injury, only this one hurt twice as bad. She felt flame consume the hand that had just broken the lantern and this time she gave a proper scream. Gibbs, however was a quick thinker and quickly suppressed the fire with a piece of the sail that landed near them. Christine's hand was charred, bleeding and that shiny red color that could only be achiever after being burned.

The woman actually began crying, and clutched the injured appendage to her arm. Unlike the gunshot wound, the pain didn't stop it just continued.

"Come on lass," Gibbs said tiredly and he pulled her up and staggered across deck to where a group was already forming around Jack who had been not to far from mast. He released Christine who swayed on her feet, but did not fall. She stood back from the group

Gibbs rallied his voice and grabbed his flask from under his belt. "Give him room!" He bellowed, moving aside the women who seemed to do nothing but stare over the man. He gave the captain a small slap on either side of the face, the man didn't look dead to him - just unconscious, and Jack had been through worse. The older man lifted the captain's head and poured some rum onto his lips.

"Wake up, Jack! The entire place is going down and we need an out," he said plaintively as if they weren't in a horrific situation.

“Nay!” Hector growled as Guin sought to pop ’Drea’s shoulder back into place. He would have none of it, a sense of overwhelming concern welling up inside of him. “That is to say… I’ll do it meself, if’t ain’t be of any concern to ye - I’ve years o’ practice with just this sort of thing,” he added politely to Guin, knowing that a sudden angry outburst might make the woman feel bad for only trying to help. But in all honesty he had absolutely no practice with dislocated shoulders… it was just that, well, he didn’t want anyone else, friend or foe, hurting Andrea any more than she already was.

Pulling the girl to her feet as carefully as possible, Hector asked Guin and Cairbre to hold the blonde still, and with a deep breath, he bent Andrea’s arm at the elbow before roughly coaxing her shoulder back into the joint, wanting the pain to be over with as fast as it possibly could be.

-------------------

Vari felt numb throughout her entire body, but whether it was from an injury or the pure emotional distress she was in, she did not know. She couldn’t feel A-Rose’s hand upon her, or even the way Gibbs pushed her back. The world was spinning in a blur of colors and sounds, all undistinguishable to her senses. She felt new tears welling, kept only from spilling over by Jack’s shallow breaths. The seventeen-year-old scrambled backwards on the deck, resting against the fallen foremast, eyes closed and panting heavily. The ship was half-burned but still afloat, the chest reclaimed by the sea, and their Captain unconscious. In the midst of her thoughts, she was broken away by the sound of laughter coming from close by; the leader of these bloody redcoats who had caused all of this physical and emotional damage to the ship and crew, was standing before her, having hidden amongst the barrels and dead bodies. “You coward! How could ye do this t’ us?!” She clenched her fists, growling animalisticly through gritted teeth as he continued to smirk at her. Vari lunged, tackling the man to the ground, rolling across the deck in a struggle for power. He held his bayonet at both ends, trying to fend the vehement woman off with it, but Vari eventually got the upper hand, ripping the weapon from the commander’s grasp and plunging the knife into his throat with unsurpassed force, in and out, in and out, even after he was already dead. The motions were uncontrolled, repetitive as she continued stabbing the pale corpse unconsciously, before letting out an anguished scream and collapsing on the bloody body beneath her. The fresh tears that had been welling finally spilled over, rushing down her cheeks as she realized all of the death and disaster around them. They needed to make port, and soon, and it was looking as though they would never escape the open expanse of ocean in one piece.

-------------------

Soren’s eyes were filled with fear as he witnessed the jagged glass protruding from Dante’s stomach glistening in the dim light. It was abnormally large and looked extremely painful, but if Dante was experiencing agonizing pain, he certainly wasn’t letting it show; at least to Soren’s eye. The blond lifted his head up, returning Dante’s kiss with a smoldering one of his own with tears in his eyes. But instead of laying there crying, Soren wrapped his arms around Dante and carefully rolled him over and away from the metal that had ultimately saved their lives. Every inch of Soren’s body felt tight as a result of the burns, pain shooting through his body with every movement. But they couldn’t just stay here forever; they had to get back to the upper deck, at least to regain their breath and take in fresh air once more. “Careful… try to stand if you can,” Soren cooed, offering a hand for Dante to grasp onto.

[[I forgot this was updated :blush:]]

Aurora-Rose was in a state of disillusion at the moment. Everything around her was a sort of a blur, a rapid spinning of dark colors, smoke, and blood. All of that didn't matter though, what she was focusing on was her friend and the man beneath them. That focus was soon lost as her body was tossed back onto the deck by a pair of hands, which she recognized as Gibbs.

Once again, when A-Rose pushed herself up from the deck to a standing position, her focus shifted and it was back on her friend who was currently jabbing a bayonet repeatedly into the throat of a redcoat. The scene would have been gruesome if the man didn't deserve it...

She could only imagine what her friend was feeling right now upon seeing Jack practically pinned beneath the mast and unconscious... hell he could even be dead. Aurora-Rose had felt such a pain once before but it did not due to dwell on it. Right now she would just be there for Vari if she was needed, otherwise there were a few redcoats still lingering that needed to be dealt with.

-----

Dante was in a lot more pain than he was showing. There was no need to worry Soren more than he already was, so the piercing agony ripping through his side was shielded and only the heavy breaths exuded past his lips gave away the discomfort he was in.

The fiery kiss he received did help to numb the pain for a moment, but as Soren switched their position the glass wedged itself deeper into him and Dante had to bite his lip to stop from screaming.

"Okay... just give me a moment..." He had to get the glass out otherwise he'd be in even more pain later. So slowly pushing himself up into a sitting position he looked up at Soren and inched closer to him so he could wrap his arm around his lover's calf. "Sorry..." He murmured, offering Soren a brief smile before biting down onto Soren's thigh and at the same time pulling the shard of glass out of his side. His teeth pierced through fabric and eventually hit skin and tears fell from the corner of his eye at the intial movement but once the glass was out he sighed and quickly pressed his hand against the bloody wound.

"I think I can stand now..." Using that offered hand, Dante was finally able to stand. Now that the pain was dissipating he had the chance to really look Soren over and he saw the charred skin and wanted so dearly to help him... but right now they did have to get to the upper deck and find out what was going on with the rest of the crew.

Andrea’s eyes widened in semi-shock as Hector announced that he would be the one to fix her shoulder. It wasn’t that she didn’t trust the man but, he didn’t exactly have a reputation for being gently. She was proved wrong however, when he carefully lifted her to her feet, making sure to let her lean on him as he positioned them. Drea leant her forehead in the crook of his neck and took a few deep breaths, readying herself.

“Just make sure you don’t rip my arm off.” She muttered in his ear, trying to still both her own nerves and his.

She felt him slowly hold her arm then without warning push it roughly and quickly up and back with a loud crack. Drea’s scream was slightly muffled by Hector’s shoulder but none the less spine chilling. She quickly quietened it with a strangled in-breath and then took a few more deep ragged breaths. She felt nauseas but gingerly moved her shoulder and arm, relieved to feel the pain quickly receding to a sharp ache.

“Thank you.” She managed to pant, head still in the crook of Hector’s neck. She could have quite easily stayed there but she knew she’d have to move before they were all burnt alive. She didn’t know if it was the fact that she felt safe there, because she still felt very unsteady or that she was perhaps losing her marbles, but she just couldn’t bring herself to move away from his comforting embrace.

She mentally slapped herself. People around you are dying yet all you can think about is snuggling up to a man you’ve only known for a few months? Snap out of it Costello! She composed herself and pulled away, setting her face in stone.

-

Jack sat bolt upright, almost head butting Gibbs in the process. He quickly snatched the flask of rum from him and began to drink, only to find it empty save for one small mouthful. He pouted and threw it back to Gibbs.

“Bloody empty mate!” He said, almost as if he were chiding the man, but it had a more affectionate under piping. He climbed to his feet, slowly this time, and gazed around at what remained of his beloved Pearl. The deck was awash with bodies, both dying and dead, and the foremast was down. The good news, however, was that the fire was now under control and dying down. Soon it would be out. The last of the redcoats had also been killed and the ship was still afloat for the time being. For once Jack’s sanity was in check and he began to bark out orders to the remaining crew.

“Come on yer scurvy dogs, we need ter get ‘er sailing and find a suitable port before Davy Jones claims the rest of us!”

Guin raised her eyebrows as Hector intercepted and told her that he would snap Andrea’s shoulder back into place himself. Guin was not entirely sure if Hector was experienced in such matters, as he informed her; in fact, she doubted whether the man would not rip the blonde girl’s arm out of her shoulder socket. But she did not object, knowing that Hector had made the decision, and would not be dissuaded. “If you say so,” she agreed, and went to gently hold Andrea still, as he had asked her and Cairbre to do so.

She heard the muffled scream as Hector pushed Andrea’s shoulder back into it’s right place with a loud cracking noise. She stepped back as Andrea moved her arm about to check that the first mate had snapped it back properly; Guin looked over towards Cairbre, who looked ever so slightly pale.

“Not squeamish, are you?” she asked him, sidling round Hector and Andrea. Her friend shook his head in protest.
“Who, me?” he retorted. “Not at all.” Guin inspected Cairbre closely; it was true, he wasn’t a generally squeamish person. He was a pirate like her, he was used to unpleasant scenes. But he looked tired, wearied, and no wonder; the general chaos around them looked similar to a scene from hell. They were surrounded by the dead and the nearly dead, and the still-flickering flames – although the fire was slowly burning out.

Guin reached out and gave Cairbe’s hand a comforting squeeze. Before she could see the smile that formed on his features, she looked over towards the two other pirates. “Well done with that Hector,” she commented. “You’ll make a fine doctor yet.” She glanced around at their surroundings; she could hear Jack’s voice bark out across the deck, stipulating orders.

She wasn’t sure how many of the crew would feel like obeying their captain now in these circumstances. A lot of them would blame Jack for the terrible calamity that had befallen them. But now was hardly the time for mutiny; they needed someone in charge, to take control of the situation.

“Aye, captain,” she called, and started making her way to the other side of the deck, stepping over dead bodies, looking around carefully as she went.

~~~
“How exactly are we going to ‘get ‘er sailing’, captain?” Rosalind said, exasperatedly. “The Pearl’s a complete wreck!” She raked a hand through her tangled black hair, shaking her head as she took in the dreadful sight that was the remains of the ship. Jack seemed to have returned to his senses now, and Rosalind’s anxiety about his former unconscious state had evaporated away, to be replaced by frustration.
Still, something had to be done, they had to get away – but it felt as if they were a cursed crew, a crew for whom nothing could go right. Rosalind tried to push this thought from her mind. She didn’t usually pay much notice of her gloomy, despairing thoughts; she was usually such a cheery person, always looking on the bright side of everything.
Jack was right to try and take control; if he did not attempt to make use of his authority then total disorder would reign. The ship needed it’s captain, even though in the eyes of some he had failed the crew disastrously.
Guin walked over towards the group, narrowly missing tripping over the corpse of a redcoat as she went. Rosalind looked over her shoulder and saw that Cairbre wasn’t far behind. Guin smiled and greeted Rosalind with a reassuring pat on the shoulder. Guin always had a way of making things seem alright, even when they really weren’t.
“Orders, captain?” Cairbre stepped forward, looking over at Jack. “The rest of the fire needs putting out before we attempt to sail – small as our chances are of sailing."
“Ye’re welcome, lass,” Hector said, but remained stiff, unsure as to how he should respond to the sudden embrace he found himself in. He waited until Andrea was finished, before clearing his throat and turning his gaze elsewhere. Jack, that buffoon, was awake and alert, suddenly barking out orders as if he hadn’t just been knocked out on top of the deck. Hector shot a glance at the blonde woman that was extremely hard to read, before heading up to the wheel of the ship and taking it in both hands. He couldn’t be around that girl much longer, or only God knew what would happen… Her warm breath on his shoulder still lingered, but Hector willed it away and set his mind on the task ahead. They needed to make port as soon as possible, and the closest one he knew was Tortuga, a distance that could easily be covered in less than an hour.
Vari threw down the bayonet, feeling her tears beginning to dry as cool stains upon her cheek, and she turned towards Aurora-Rose with blood on her hands. “A-Rose, we’re alive!” she proclaimed, grasping onto her friend and leaving bloody stains on the other woman’s clothes. “We’re alive…” Vari fell to her knees, still hugging Aurora’s booted leg in relief. Her thoughts were not yet coherent ones and didn’t make much sense to those around her, but after such a chaotic evening, Vari was happy that they had all made it unharmed, for the most part.
It was Jack’s voice that snapped the brunette back to attention, her hazel eyes quickly falling upon him. Before she could stop herself, Vari was scrambling across the deck like a three-legged mutt and embracing Captain Sparrow tightly, her grip made of iron and unrelenting to say the least. “Jack! Oh Jack… so glad you’re all right…” she rested her head in the crook of his neck, closing her eyes as she breathed in his comforting scent of rum and seawater.
-------------------
“Aahhh!” Soren hissed, biting down on his lip as Dante’s teeth pierced his skin. He was more than willing to be a human pin cushion if it meant relieving his lover’s pain as he pulled the shard of glass from his abdomen.
Although there was far less blood than Soren expected, Dante’s wound was still a nasty one and needed to be taken a look at. “Whatever port we land in, I am taking you to see a doctor. We can’t risk that getting infected - I can’t risk losing you,” he confessed, looking into Dante’s dark eyes with concern. Taking his hand, he helped the raven-haired man to the upper deck for a breath of fresh air - the bottom decks still smelled strongly of burnt wood and smoke and it was definitely not what Soren wanted to be breathing in.
As soon as they were reunited with the others, the blond man took in a deep breath and exhaled through his mouth, realizing just how much he had taken being able to breathe for granted. It felt wonderful to finally get a smell of the salty air, and to feel the comforting Caribbean breeze. He knew that the two of them probably looked like hell, but Soren was just happy to still be here on God’s green earth alongside the only person he could not bear to lose.
If Aurora-Rose was not so concerned with making sure the few remaining redcoats were sent to their death then she may have found Jake's awakening quite humorous. She had only known the Captain for a short period of time, but she already knew that he was a very eccentric character and this event only proved his personality.
Though all humor aside she grabbed the neck of an older redcoat who was just about to thrust his bayonet through Varianna and twisted it with great force, wincing slightly at the sound of cracking bone but thinking no more of it as the men fell lifelessly at her feet.
The brunette didn't have time to revel in her victory because the woman she had just saved was rushing towards her with blood-soaked hands and falling on the ground. Poor girl, A-Rose thought to herself, not worrying about her blood-stained clothes. All that mattered right now was offering what comfort she could to her friend... running her fingers through Varianna's own dark locks she shushed the woman and continually told her everything was alright now and that they were safe.
It was only when Vari finally saw that Jack was alive did she allow herself to laugh, a great relief flowing through her, head tilting back as the laughter increased to almost maniacal proportions.
-----
Just the word doctor had Dante shivering and instantly regretting allowing Soren to find out about his wound. He understood that his lover was worried about him but it wasn't that bad... nothing a bandage wouldn't eventually fix. Though the next words slipping from Soren's mouth had his heart beating wildly in his chest.
He couldn't risk losing his lover either... he'd rather face the world's end before losing Soren.
"Alright, I'll go to the doctor's but there better be some drinks involved." He snickered, though the simple shake of his body emphasized the pain in his side. Maybe Soren was right to worry, while walking up the stairs he glanced at his side and pulled his hand away from the wound only to watch as fresh blood stained his clothes. He suddenly hoped they docked soon, he didn't need to worry his lover any more than he already had, but if it took too long then things would only get worse and he would no longer be able to hide his pains.
Stepping onto the top deck a rush of fresh air hit his lungs and Dante breathed it all in. The sea breeze was enough to calm him for the time being, that and the fact that everyone seemed to be alive and well for the most part.
Soren and Dante didn't make it far away from the stairs before they were practically tackled by a young woman.
"Thank God! I didn't know where you two went and then you were gone and now you're back and alive and alright...." Aurora-Rose's hands were far from idle, almost groping the two men to make sure they weren't illusions and that they weren't injured too badly.
"What is that! You need to get that checked..." Aurora-Rose found the one spot that Dante was trying so hard to hide. That damn girl was going to be the death of him one day...
"Just a scratch, nothing to worry about." His eyes were pleading but the girl didn't seem to listen, pulling Dante's hand away she hissed seeing the constant flow of flood, eyes moving over to Soren to see if he could knock some sense into the man.
“Come on yer scurvy dogs, we need ter get ‘er sailing and find a suitable port before Davy Jones claims the rest of us!”
Gibbs watched on edge waiting for the Captain to wake from his state. The man had judged that it wasn't serious, but it was taking a bit too long for the man to come to his senses. Come on, Jack. He mentally ordered.
Luckily for Gibbs and the rest of the devastated crew the captain decided to start. The round leather flask he was putting to the man's mouth was unceremoniously ripped from his grip. "Bloody empty mate, he heard the captain complain jokingly and the man rolled his eyes, falling into the routine with ease.
"Tis cause you drank the last of it, Jack. Now, what say you? We have a little bit of boat. We need an island with a good builder not too far from here. Any ideas?" Gibbs asked. His question was cut short though as the brunette mess that was Vari rushed into Jack's mildly surprised arms. The man was tempted to scoff as there were more important things to worry about. He looked around to take stock of them. His eyes fell on the pathetic form outside the circle that had formed outside of the not so fallen captain.
Christine did look pathetic, she had turned a pale color that was obviously unhealthy and it made her freckles stand out something awful. She had taken to sitting and watching the proceedings, finding standing a little much. Her neck was craned trying to see Jack, and a grin broke out onto her face in childlike glee when she saw the man bolt up and tease Gibbs. It seemed that most people had lived and for that she was grateful.
Gibbs decided to send help around to the fallen and stepped over towards Guinevere. "Guin," the man said, stepping away from Jack and the others. "Help that lass wrap up her arm, she's got a bullet and a burn on it. I don't think she can handle it herself." He said with a chuckle
((If you don't wish me to join, I won't stay in this.))
Amelia Swann sighed. She had been traveling for a few weeks now, changing ships every port. She had long disgaurded her dress and anything else she had worn upon leaving her home. Now she wore simple sailors wear, her long hair tucked under her hat. She looked at the port sea as the other sailors talked and joked. Men talk, it was one of the few things she wasn't used to yet.
She turned and returned to her duties when one of the senior sailors called out the newest name she had given her self. "Porter! Stop day dreaming and give us a hand, yeah?!"
Amelia nodded. "Yes sir." She said in her best male voice. Sometimes she wondered why she ran from home, than she remembered her parents had promised her to an older man. She wanted to be free, and hoped with the money she earned as a sailor, she could by a small home for herself. It wasn't long until they docked, she recived her pay, and she left to find a new ship to join.
