(Ahhhhh! The inside attack of doom. Haha. I like it. I also forgot to put in Vanessa's super name into that last post. It has been remedied in this one.

Question: Our supers and villains do have alter egos right? Because I was going to have Vanessa working part-time at the coffee shop when she doesn't have patrol.)

Ersatz yelped and jumped backward as the ice flew up from the ground. She had a few cuts, but the thick double layered fur surrounding her was good for keeping the ice out of her skin. She felt herself skidding across the pavement and whimpered. However, the good thing about her power was that durability was a must considering how much her bones and muscles got broken and warped. She staggered to all fours and shook her head, catching sight of the fallen comrade.

Help! Her mind screamed and fought valiantly to find anyone connected to her. Finally she heard it clearly through someone's mind more than likely Sahara Mist's or Vector's. They tended to be the most concerned about the rest of the group during fights. She let out a mournful howl just in case her other alert hadn't been heard.

There was no chance that she'd be able to help Shatterstrike except to stand guard over her - she couldn't change back into human form not only because she had no medical training but because her clothes currently lay shredded on the ground. Although it was a battle there was no way she was going to be in the nude in front of an opponent. So, she squared off in front of Sub-Lock. He wasn't the brightest, she thought, so she figured if she kept him occupied he would leave Shatterstrike alone. And God, would she keep him occupied.

I'm am going to shred you. Ersatz swore. This time she knew he could hear her. A low and vicious growl escaping her throat. This time when she jumped, it was at his face, teeth snapping furiously while sharp claws embedded into his chest. The only way to block her would be to cover his face or hold her still. He could inflict damage on her, but it would be difficult to down her quickly. Not to mention that this form had been one of her firsts so it was easy to maintain and follow its natural characteristic. Now that was to protect her pack member at all costs.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alecia looked around quickly though it was just instinct as the warning sirens screamed through the mansion. The clanking of titanium rang through her eardrums with more force than anything. Her first instinct was to go invisible, which she did without more thought. It was interesting. She wasn't just there and then gone, she slowly faded from view and because of the nature of her power if someone had been watching they would have quickly forgotten that she had been there. That was the true strength of her power. She was easily forgotten by her enemies, it made her a master of camouflage even without being invisible.

"Lockdown," she said out loud, her voice nearing panic. It came from nowhere to the new arrivals as she still remained invisible. Her attention was focused on the new voices in the room. She recognized a few of them, but as the waves of music shook through the room she saw - well, felt - that there was more than she could hear.

She snuck around the room trying to get a position where she would have the advantage over one of the Brotherhood. Another powerful chord swept through the room and shook her body and she felt the images around her clarify as she sound waves created a perfect picture for her to use. It would be difficult considering the blasts also nearly knocked her off her feet, but at least she knew exactly what was going on.

(Freya, I am assuming Delirium is apart of the Brotherhood. Your character list has everyone labeled as a Hero.)

Forming a ball of fire with a fluid motion of her hands, Pyra spotted her first victim with the Brotherhood about ten feet behind Indigo.

Taunting was one of Pyra's specialties. She smirked as she took her first step towards the intruder when her flame disappeared into the air and her right hand flung to her right temple.

Pyra looked around in a panic. There was something in her head; her pride let down her mental defense, not that she has much, but she was now on full alert. Giving all of her energy to ward off the new little voice in her mind, Pyra's eyes scanned the room for anyone with mind powers.

She's time... he's... she's... her thoughts filtered through all of the members of the Brotherhood that she could see. Aha! she exclaimed in a heavy pant and a pillar of fire towards Delirium.

[[Pardon the double post guys :P
@Maeth - yep, most of the villains and heroes have alter egos, so that’s perfectly fine. ]]

Vector’s head snapped upwards as he heard Ersatz’s mournful howl and cries for help. In any other circumstance he would come right to her aid, but this time was different. They had managed to capture Willow and first he had to make sure she was in police custody. Hoisting the woman up, Vector pinned Willow’s arms behind her back and led her out of the bank over to where squad cars were lined in a row.

The brunette personally saw to it that the woman was cuffed and under close watch as she was led over to one of the police vehicles. “Enjoy your stay in maximum security,” Vector teased before slamming the car door shut and leaving Willow to wallow in self defeat. The first successful capture of the night; now he could only hope there were more to come.

Catching sight of Miss Death, Vector began to wonder if the attack would ever end. Passing by Turbozero, he ordered the technologically advanced man to go help Ersatz and Shatterstrike on the roof.

“Anythin’ you say, boss,” Turbozero grinned, shooting a grappling hook upwards and hooking onto the side of the bank with ease.

[[Pan, I’m thinking that a prison break will happen in the near future, with other villains who come to save the comrades that get caught by the heroes. ;) ]]

-------------------------

Brown Widow, having grown extremely frustrated by the entire situation, gritted her teeth and extended the bo-staff at her side. Normally she would have laughed at Sub-Lock’s pain. Normally she would have left everyone to fend for themselves. But these were no normal circumstances. “You d*mned heroes always have to RUIN IT FOR US!” she shrieked, charging at Ersatz and beating on the wolf with the metal pole. Brown Widow attacked mercilessly, driven by rage and something unnatural. Hit after hit on the girl and she wouldn’t stop, not until every bone in Ersatz’s body was broken.

Sub-Lock gritted his teeth in pain as he plucked Ersatz’s paws from his chest, knowing that some of her claws were probably stuck in his skin. He was bleeding from his chest and from the bite marks on his jaw where she’d gotten him. “Aaah,” he gasped from the stinging pain the wounds provided, but he was able to pick himself up and stagger backwards.

“That ain’t cool,” Turbozero mused with his laser gun raised at Brown Widow, Sub-Lock and Twister.

“And what’re you gonna do about it?” Sub-Lock hissed, an anger welling inside of him that was far more than out of character.

Just as Turbozero held his finger on the trigger, Sub-Lock scooped up Shatterstrike’s limp form and used the woman as a shield. Turbozero froze, casting the gun downwards to avoid shooting his close friend and teammate. The girl was already hurt, the last thing she needed was a gaping hole through her body.

Brown Widow delivered a final kick to Ersatz’s stomach, sending the wolf woman flying across the concrete wolf and teetering on the edge of the building. “Look, it’s either us, or them,” she motioned at Shatterstrike and Ersatz, knowing more than well that Turbozero would choose to go after his friends rather than the Brotherhood. With a sinister grin, Brown Widow tore Shatterstrike from Sub-Lock’s grasp and threw the redhead and Ersatz over the edge, free-falling to a spine-crushing death.

Turbozero’s eyes widened behind his sunglasses and he darted forward, only to be stopped by Brown Widow. “Good choice,” she breathed, pressing a taunting kiss to the hero’s lips before taking Twister and Sub-Lock by the arms and leaping off the roof.

The sharpshooter raced towards the edge of the building, almost throwing himself over after Shatterstrike and Ersatz’s bodies. They were quickly descending the 70-something-feet to the ground and Turbozero had no way of going after them without putting himself in harm’s way as well.

As the villains fell, Brown Widow cast a sticky web between the bank and the building across the street, offering as a net to break their fall. “Let’s get out of here,” she commented, helping Sub-Lock and Twister off the sturdy webbing. “The others can fend for themselves,” she spat with a certain bitterness to her words.

-------------------------

“Oh my god!” Decode shouted as she felt a shockwave rock the earth. She had to fight to keep the car on her side of the road as she sped through rural streets not far away from the mansion. The inside panels on the dashboard were blinking and sounding like mad; something serious was going down. “What is happening there?!” she asked to no one in particular, putting the pedal to the metal as she hurried to get back to the headquarters.

-------------------------

Allure watched his work with interest, pleased with the havoc that Indigo was bringing upon her own teammates. Dark eyes scanned the room for his next victim - male or female, it did not matter. Anyone was fair game when it came to mind control. He phased into thin air from the spot he’d been standing, only to reappear behind Nightblade. With an evil smirk, Allure spun Nightblade around and connected their lips for the briefest second. That was all it took for Allure to now have two heroes under his control, unable to deny his requests. “You will do as I command. Join Indigo and make me proud.”

“Yes, master,” Nightblade replied in a trance, sliding the twin swords from his back and putting them to good use. He stood, back-to-back with Indigo, the two circling about the center of the room tauntingly, just waiting for someone to attack.

-------------------------

“Thanks, stranger,” Bridgette smiled once her cigarette was lit, holding it skillfully between two fingers. She took a long, thoughtful drag, looking up at the sky as the rain seemed to finally start letting up. There was something about nights like this, something that brought back “false” old memories. False because she could not remember anything past being released from the hospital seven months ago, having been told she’d gotten amnesia and that the effects were most likely irreversible. She couldn’t remember the sort of person she used to be, or where she used to live, or even what her favorite color was. Maybe that’s why, oftentimes, she’d feel so pathetic. Because at age 35, she was just truly reinventing herself and trying to get back on her feet and be a normal person again.

But any normality was lost when Bridgette joined the Underground Brotherhood and took up the name Lady Luck, feeling that it was most suitable for her. Leading a double life like this took a lot out of her sometimes and it was hard to go to sleep at night without wondering if she would ever be able to tell anyone her dark secrets and have them trust her. It was only when her cigarette had burned down quite a ways did Bridgette come back to the present, flicking the ashes to the ground and offering Alexander a soft smile.

“So, um… I’m guessing you’re new to the casino…? I’ve never seen you around before.” Small talk. Oh, how she despised it, but every relationship, romantic or not, had to start somewhere, right? “The name’s Bridgette McKinnen, by the way… sorry for not introducing myself earlier. I wasn’t trying to be stuck-up or anything, I was just sort of caught up in my own thoughts at the time, and well, the stress of work and such… I mean it’s not exactly easy covering for your no-good co-workers who don’t give two sh*ts about you… though I guess I’m making more money or whatever… Oh, god, now I’m rambling, aren’t I?” She blushed, shutting herself up by putting the cigarette back up to her lips and hoping that this guy didn’t find her a total turn-off.

Calico's body was visibly vibrating from the excitement of having caught and captured her sister. She had not expected it to be this easy and only a small scratch across her cheek gave evidence to the slight struggle, the same scratch that would be gone in the next hour.

Handing Willow over to Vector, Calico held a firm grip on the black whip that Willow carried around and started to head outside, though she didn't make it far. A sudden pain erupted from the crook of her arm and spread along her veins with liquid fire. It was far from pleasant and she cried out, grasping her arm while cat-like eyes narrowed.

"Miss Death!" She knew the woman's powers and this only angered her even further.

=====

Willow hissed against Vector's hold, anger still hot inside of her at having her pride and joy stolen from her. Her sister hadn't heard the last of her and it would only be a matter of time before Willow would escape her captors to get her revenge.

Vector and the Omega Alliance may have captured one of them, but Willow knew the strength of the Brotherhood and how it outnumbered the heroes. They wouldn't know what hit them...

Walking without struggle into the police car, she slipped into the back with ease, a smirk permanently on her lips while staring at Vector. "I'll see you soon."

=====

Sahara Mist's grimaced as a voice shouted deep in her mind. A call for help. It took her a moment before she put a face to the voice. Ersatz. Moving like dust in the wind Sahara made her way outside only to pause at the utter chaos she saw. There were so many of them, too many. They were outnumbered and their best defense was to escape before any of them got hurt any more than they already were.

=====

Alexander simply nodded, smiling to the blonde while he brought the flame to his own cigarette before putting the lighter back into his jean pocket and leaned against the brick wall of the alleyway. A comfortable silence fell over them and Alexander reveled in the feel of nicotine filling his system. Sighing every time he blew out smoke rings.

The rain had finally stopped and he let his head loll back so he could look up into the night sky. The weather was not natural, that much he could tell and it once more reminded him of the mission he was skipping, but he couldn't really care about any of that.

He was what you called one of those reluctant heroes. Alexander didn't have any special powers, he had never fallen into a vat of radio active materials or have the mutant gene. He was simply skilled, very skilled in what he did.

Oh well, he'd get an earful from Calico later, but for now he just enjoyed the company from this intriguing woman who was currently speaking to him, well more like rambling.

As she continued to talk, the grin on Alexander's face only grew until he was full out smiling. "I come here occasionally, but I normally play the slots when the Roulette table is crowded." He began, trying to piece together all the girl's questions so he answered them in the right order. "Name's Alexander Mccoy, it's a pleasure..." Holding out his hand he waited until her own curled around his before he shook it, holding on a moment longer than necessary before placing said hand back into the front of his pocket.

"I don't mind the rambling, I find it endearing. I don't really talk much so it is nice to be with someone who does." That smile still on his lips.

Flying quickly through the air, Destroyer continued his frantic search for Vector. All the while, he could only hope the other heroes had fared better than he and Electra had that night, although from the way things seemed to be going, he highly doubted that. He knew that Calista would be furious with him for letting Twister get away to try to save her, but to him, losing her would have been far worse. Glancing down at the unconscious woman in his arms, he could only hope that she could hold on long enough for him to find her help. "Vector!" he cried as he landed on the ground when he spotted the man. "She's been infected with Widow's venom," he said simply, traces of anger and frustration evident in his voice.
-----------------------------------------------------------
"Thanks," Twister told Widow. "If they choose to come after us now, I can create a fog to blind them and not us," he remarked. He was exhausted from the Destroyer's drain, though he still had enough strength to escape. I swear Destroyer the next time we meet, I will put you in your grave, he thought bitterly as more hate for the hero filled him.
------------------------------------------------------------
Miss Death chuckled bitterly as a cruel smirk spread across her lips and a gleam of malice sparkled in her eyes. "Nice of you to finally notice me kitty," she teased. "Now let's see how you like more pain," she hissed again and this time stabbed the doll in the stomach.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Completely irritated as Allure took control of Nightblade, Silencer growled slightly as he tried to get into both heroes minds at once to break the hold that the Brotherhood mutant held over them.
Deciding to ignore Silencer's order, Shadow turned invisible and decided to try and slow down the two mind-controlled heroes attacks. Grabbing the guitar, she tried to tear it from Indigo while still remaining invisible.
------------------------------------------------------------
Jumping on their motorcycles, Blood Rose and Toxicana stored their second bag of stolen treasure. Heading down another road, they ran into Brown Widow, Twister and Sub-Lock.
"How did it go?" Blood Rose asked, a small smirk spreading across her fine lips.
"How do you think?" Twister snapped. "Miss Death has the loot that she and I stole so we better hope that she doesn't do something stupid and get herself caught."
"Aww, that's too bad..." Toxicana replied to Twister with a slight pout, loving to tease the man. "But Blood Rose and I have the treasure we were assigned to steal so at least the night isn't a total loss. But if the treasure is lost, please tell me that you at least made those pathetic heroes pay."
