Chaos Theory
Brought to you by Aramel & Pandora.

A while back Pandora and I decided to create a plethora of hero and villain OC’s. We finally decided to put the idea in motion and this is the result.

*This roleplay is invitational only - if you did not receive an invitation from myself via Private Message, you may not join this roleplay! We are looking for experienced roleplayers only.

A Chaos Theory is a mathematical concept that explains that it is possible to get random results from normal equations. The main precept behind this theory is the underlying notion of small occurrences significantly affecting the outcomes of seemingly unrelated events… Stack City sits on the East Coast, full of violence and uncontrolled crime. A new group of superheroes known as the Omega Alliance has risen, but unfortunately so has a new group of villains known as the Underground Brotherhood…

[[The only reason I started this early is because I found a sudden inspiration in the thunderstorm outside my window. Anywho, throw your characters in as you like, and as always if there are questions you can direct them to myself or Pandora. ]]

The streets of Stack City lay quiet as a vicious storm swept in from the ocean. The costal city was eerily silent with very few people coming and going; the rest had already taken shelter in their 31st floor apartments, or for those less lucky, cardboard boxes in dark alleyways. All the same, the only sound that could be heard was the pitter-patter of rain and distant roll of thunder.

“The west end is clear,” Shatterstrike spoke into her gray communicator. Her transmission could be heard by any that held one of these special communicators used solely by the Omega Alliance; all transmissions were sent back to the headquarters and reviewed by a panel of operators who could pinpoint her location in a heartbeat should something go awry. All communicators had been issued to heroes during their initiation and were to be kept active at all times. The redhead sent her message through to the group’s leader, Vector Nimbus, hoping that he would allow her to end her patrol of the city. Three nights in a row and her mission had not turned up anything of interest.

“Sounds good, Shatterstrike. You may proceed back to the headquarters to get some rest,” Vector’s voice came back to her through the static.

Smirking, Shatterstrike turned on her heel and passed through the streets like a lone shadow, gray and black reflection meeting her gaze in the glass window of a closed corner store. She looked a mess, short hair plastered to the sides of her face and dark mask, cape tattered and torn. Yet it was the sign of a hero who cared for others before first caring about their own appearance.

It was then that a shrill alarm pierced the stagnant air. Shatterstrike immediately flew into action, racing towards the origin of the sound. The First National Bank was being robbed, and by the Underground Brotherhood nonetheless. Pulling out her communicator once more, she ran towards the building, panting out a desperate message: “Robbery in Sector 5! I’m going to require assistance - repeat, I need assistance!”

-------

“Idiot!” Brown Widow screeched, smacking Sub-Lock upside the head. “You went and tripped the alarm like I told you not to do! Ugh, I bet those imbeciles are already on their way here.” The villainess grabbed as many bags of money as she could and stuck herself to the wall, crawling across it with the swiftness of a spider.

“Imbeciles? Hardly,” Shatterstrike countered, standing in the destroyed doorframe and blocking their only exit. Hands on her hips, she surveyed the group with an unfaltering gaze, but deep down she prayed that her teammates would arrive, and soon…

[[OOC: Some of these characters have been added, as I finished my heroes/villain’s character thread info.]]

A shrill buzzing echoed through Mask’s aching head. Groaning, she rolled over to hit her alarm clock, only to find that it was her communicator that had gone off. She groaned again, louder this time, as she looked at her clock. Ten minutes of sleep. Only ten freaking minutes. Did evil never sleep, like normal people? At that she grinned, Mask was anything but normal.

The eight year old swung out of bed, and by the time her feet hit the ground was already swathed in her signature grey nano-suit and cloak. She grabbed a belt of supplies as she left her room in the upper stories of her high-tech mansion and headed down the hall to the other dormitory rooms. Banging on doors as she passed by, she called out, “Everybody up! The Brotherhood is moving!

Groans very similar to Mask’s earlier one echoed through the halls, but in less than a minute costumed heroes were stumbling to the elevator, which they took to the garage level of the basement. Hover-cars and motorcycles roared up the exit ramp, followed by the silent motion of hover-boards. Mask held out an arm as the last hover-board went to pass her, “Control, I’ll need you to carry me. Deceit smashed my windshield in an hour ago, and the nanos haven’t gotten around to fixing it yet.”

Control, a tall youth wearing black and green, glowered through his half-mask. “Has that man no shame? For heaven’s sake, you’re his daughter, clone even! If he killed you he’d be killing a piece of himself.”

Mask rolled her eyes, “He lost his mind years ago. Now let me on.” Control obliged and the two sped up the ramp, the steel door slamming shut behind them.

---------

On the other side of town a low chuckle sounded out of the darkness, “What do you think, Ghost darling? Should we give them a hand?”

“Phase, dearest,” a low purr of a voice answered the first, “they need all the help they can get. Poor, pitiful brotherhood.” With that, Ghost, invisible and swift, launched herself at Shatterstrike while her husband, Phase grabbed several money bags. He then turned intangible and plunged through the wall by the door, laughing as he went.

The storm was soothing to the Dr. as he moved through the back alley ways without a care in the world. One hand holding the dark umbrella while the other was bringing a slender cancer stick up to his mouth. Slender lips balanced the cigarette with practiced ease while he took an all too familiar path through the city.

A strike of lightening flashed causing his destination to glow for but a moment but it was all he needed to find the handle of the door and pull it open. Eyes narrowing while they tried to adjust to the harsh bright lights of the Casino.

Just as he walked through the doors he heard the small buzz of his transmitter along with the static voice of Shatterstrike... Blowing out smoke he reached for his transmitter and twisted the small knob that would turn it off. "Calico will kill me but I doubt she is paying much attention to where I'm at with the rain and all..." Dr. Syth muttered to himself with a grin. The joke falling on deaf ears not that anyone would understand it anyways.

Nodding to the bouncers who barely blinked an eye at his arrival he moved towards his favorite table, Roulette.

-----

"Son of a mutt...Where the hell is Dr. Syth!" Calico groaned as she attempted to reach him once more only to receive a dial tone. Calico had been covering the North quadrants when she had received the urgent call from Shatterstrike. Cat like eyes had helped her as she moved like a blur through the few stragglers in the streets to reach Shatterstrike in a matter of seconds.

What she saw didn't surprise the brunette. "You guys really are terrible villains."

-----

"That we are, terribly ingenious we are and we have only just begun." Willow grinned, bright red lips upturned mockingly as she stared at her sister. "Now move aside or this will be painful..." To add emphasis to her words Willow brandished her black whip from her belt and with the flick of the wrist a loud crack sounded through the air, like the sound of thunder, and slashed across Calico's cheek.

Calico growled and reached up to touch the wound, it only bleeded for a moment before the skin began to heal leaving a raw mark. "You'll pay for that!" Without another word and with feline like grace Calico jumped forward avoiding the second attempted of whipping and attacked Willow.

Anyone watching wouldn't be able to see the two fighting except a flash and blur of colors.

-----
[[The others will come later... this is just a starter post xP]]

(I will come up with more characters later, but, for now, I do feel compelled to bring into this rampage my darling Kira Marshall [Pyra], and tell me if this is ok for your character, AE)

Ewww...

Pyra grimaced, taking the hair out of her food and tossing it into the air, having it burn up into oblivion. She put a finger over her mouth to hold the belching sensation in and casually set the food on the floor next to her. She would attend to her complaints on the unsatisfactory and unsanitary conditions by which her meal was given to her later.

Tapping her feet on the ground was the next best thing to do while Pyra waited. Removing the temptation to still eat the food from her peripherals, Pyra glanced over towards the door. "What is taking this man so long?" She yelled out to herself, slamming the back of her head into the wall behind her and, in frustration, flinging her arms up in the air.

Vector Nimbus had known that Pyra was here at the mansion for a good two months now and that she more than minimally deserved to have her own communicator by now in order to help out on the missions. Not that the lack of a communicator stopped her, of course.

In fact, Pyra would be out there beating up some of the Brotherhood right now if it weren't for her appointment with Vector that was supposed to have started 30 minutes prior. His delay could only mean one thing... there was some dangerous mission occurring... and she would have to miss out on it... again.

This bites.. she thought to herself, kicking her foot forward into thin air, but allowing the prospect of hitting something and flinging it to the other side of the room with a loud bang fill her head with endorphins. And I really can't leave... Pyra continued, cutting off her temptation to escape from this pit of despair. Sighing, she looked back over at the door and wished that she had telekinetic powers.

Brushing back of a strand of wet blonde hair from her face, Electra just frowned. This storm had been unexpected and she wondered if it was nature's work or the work of a certain Brotherhood member.
"It's been a quiet night. Why don't you head back to base, it isn't your night to patrol," Destroyer remarked as he flew at her side.
"Nor is it YOUR night to patrol," Electra remarked with a smirk. " But the night's still young," she added. "And evil does not take a vacation, just because the rest of the world sleeps. It doesn't hurt to have an extra set of eyes on the street."
"Or two." the Destroyer added with a smirk as Electra returned it with a chuckle. "But perhaps we may get lucky this time, and not have utter chaos." Yet no sooner had the Destroyer uttered those words, they both heard Shatterstrike's urgent page over their communicators.
"You were saying?" Electra remarked with a smirk as the two paused in mid-flight and turned in the opposite direction to head over to sector 5.
"It's going to be a long night," he said instead with a sigh.
------------------------------------------------------------
Miss Death was robbing another store when she heard the alarm go off. "Blasted partners," she growled. "They have to ruin everything." Grabbing her bags of loot, she tossed it in a secret compartment in her specialized motorcycle. "Care to give me some cover so we can go and save their sorry behinds?" she shouted up at Twister.
"My pleasure, little girl." Twister teased her.
"I am not a little girl," Miss Death fumed. "And keep calling me that you may find yourself with a pain up your butt!"
Twister growled at her and would have shot her with lightning except that they noticed Electra and the Destroyer heading toward the scene from another direction and their fight was put on hold for the time being.

Shatterstrike was caught off guard as Ghost attacked, her brass knuckles punching through air unsuccessfully. She was sent crashing to the ground as several villains managed to flee through the open doors of the destroyed bank, only to come face-to-face with her teammates who had finally arrived.

“Ya’ll better drop that sh*t,” Turbozero ordered, his hands filled by a giant energy projectile gun that was already loaded and ready for action. The dark-skinned man wore sunglasses over his eyes despite the fact it was nighttime and his expression remained stoic; almost robotic, as he held his ground. Next to him was a slender blonde woman in sea foam green and silver armor, her arms crossed over her chest and a smirk about her face.

“A bank? Honestly, you could all do better than that,” Decode laughed, springing over to one of the change machines and reprogramming it in the blink of an eye to begin spitting out quarters and dimes like a machine gun.

“Ow, ow, ow, ow ow ow ow ow ow!!!!” Sub-Lock screamed as he was attacked by flying coins, falling to the ground and covering his head with his hands, causing Brown Widow to scoff at his antics. He was such a pathetic excuse for a villain and was the very reason that the heroes were here right now. Pausing (and not understanding why she did), Brown Widow pulled Sub-Lock to his feet and then countered her kind action with a slap across his face.

“Get it together,” she growled before scaling the side of the bank and reaching the roof within a matter of seconds, escaping with three bags of cash and a devilish grin.

---

Vector Nimbus had just arrived on the scene in time to see Brown Widow escaping and Calico dueling it out with her sister. This was not turning out too well on the heroes’ behalf, and even the Stack City Police Department cops could do nothing to prevent the villains from slipping from their grasp. It seemed that as of late, the Underground Brotherhood had been getting stronger and stronger and the Omega Alliance could simply not keep up.

---

Back at the heroes’ mansion, the Jade Cat moved towards Pyra who was sitting by herself and not looking too pleased. “You haven’t yet touched your food… is it not to your liking?” She purred to the other woman, while stroking the beige cat in her lap. “Tilly and I made it for you…” That would explain where the hair came from… Tilly meowed at Pyra and curled her tail around the Jade Cat’s arm. “I can prepare you something else if you’d like.” Her offer was followed by a brief smile and a flash of lightning from outside one of the large windows. She was thankful to be off duty tonight, unlike her other feline friend Calico who was probably suffering in the rain; just the thought of getting wet made the Jade Cat’s hair stand on end.

---

Bridgette McKinnen sighed in annoyance. Tonight she’d been given the duty of covering the Roulette table at the casino because the regular dealer had fallen under the weather. She hadn’t been trained too well at this game but knew just enough to get by, wishing she was back in her familiar territory at the Blackjack tables. She spaced out as players began to make their bets, the lot of them losers anyway. But her eye caught that of the newcomer, a polished blond with a cigarette dangling from his lips and she grinned. “No more bets…” Bridgette said with a certain vulnerability to her voice, watching the wheel spin and land on red 23. “Well, it looks like you’re the winner,” she smiled at Dr. Syth, passing the chips towards him and accidentally touching his hand in the process.

Sahara Mist was one of the last of the Omega Alliance to arrive. The woman had been trying to get some control of the storm but had been unsuccessful. This lead her to conclude that this was not some sort of natural occurrence. Someone was behind this weather and it didn't take her long to find out why.

Disappearing into the misty rain Sahara turned up in solid form once more beside Vector Nimbus, her dark eyes taking in the scene around them. It did not look very good for their side. "What do we do?" She asked as calmly as she could in the current chaotic situation.

-----

"You scratched me!" Could be heard amidst the blur. Calico was using any and every mean to get the upper hand against Willow and at the moment it was her nails against pale skin.

It was a benefit knowing your enemies weaknesses and having grown up with the blond all her life Calico knew that Willow hated any marks on her face, they both were a bit vain but Willow's vanity took on an obsessive level that got her to where she was today. On the side of the villains.

"Get over it. You don't have much riding on your looks anyways..." Another low blow but it was all it took to get the upper hand and soon Willow was pinned to the ground beneath Calico.

-----

"You don't suppose we'll get in too much trouble do you?" The Zodiac asked nervously, hands practically trembling as he held onto three large woolen bags of cash.

"Are you kidding me! You had to go all Gemini right now!" The Crimson Raven growled as she looked at her cousin who looked like a scared wet rabbit outside of the bank.

They had made it out before the heroes had arrived and were just waiting for their ride. Crimson had thought the hardest part would be getting the cash but it seemed it would be dealing with the man beside her.

Taking two steps she pressed her body against The Zodiac's back, lips brushing against his ear as she whispered. "Come on big boy... where is my favorite Scorpio?" Her words mixed with her sensuous abilities of seduction was able to bring the Scorpio out.

"Not again!" Zodiac hissed as he nudged Crimson away from him, his eyes narrow and his whole demeanor changed from nervousness to dangerous.

-----

Alexander, as he liked to be referred as when he wasn't donning the hero facade, placed himself at the Roulette table and placed his bet by sliding a few chips onto the red 23.

Leaning back against the chair he let his eyes scan the table finally landing on the woman spinning the Roulette. 'Well', he thought to himself, 'this game just got a bit more interesting.' Letting his eyes linger on the blond he reached up and pulled the cig out of his lips, tilting his head back to slowly blow the smoke out.

"Lucky me..." He grinned, noticing the fact that their fingers touched but saying nothing about it. Instead he kept his attention on the woman while placing another bet, this time he put all of his chips on lucky number 13.

Seeing Brown Widow escaping, Electra broke from Darius to go after her. "Drop the bags, Brown Widow," Electra hissed as her palms started to glow with energy.
Suddenly a bolt of lightning shot directly at her and Calista just barely managed to create an energy shield to deflect the blast.
"Twister. I should have known you were behind this storm," she remarked coldly.
"A change in the weather is always good," he told her with a cruel smile. "Just like blowing away stupid wanna-be heroes," he added as sent a twister in her direction which she just barely managed to avoid thanks to a sharp evasion move. Out of nowhere, a dark energy blast came at both Brown Widow and Twister, and Twister just barely managed to evade the assault.
"Two against one is hardly fair. I think I'll even the odds," the Destroyer said with a smirk, challenging Twister directly.
"Bring it." Twister replied coldly.

Miss Death meanwhile stood back to watch the chaos in front of her. "Now which hero shall be my prey?" she muttered with a cruel smirk. "Eenie Meenie Miney mo...." she played while trying to decide which person to inflict the pain on first.
------------------------------------------------------------
Back at base, Shadow sat quietly on the couch reading a book. Today was her off night and what a great night it was to have a break. At least it saved her from getting caught in this downpour. She did not understand why Electra ended voluenteering to do an extra patrol when it was her rest night as well. But after she went, it didn't surprise Shadow that the Destroyer ended up going, even though it was his off night too. Bet they regret it now...she thought with some amusement.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Back in his room, Silencer was using his mind powers to locate his half-sister, the Blood Rose. She had not been active lately and that told him that she was only cooking up some sort of devious plan. For some odd reason, he had connection with his half-sister that if he focused hard enough, he could determine her location after much seaching with his mind. He reasoned that it their connection had to have come from the fact that they were both related and both mind mutants. Now if only I could develop my powers so that I could track any mutant mentally without the aid of a machine, it would be great, he thought to himself.
------------------------------------------------------------
"Do you have the jewels?" Blood Rose whispered to Toxicana.
"Right here," the other villaness purred.
"Good. Now let's go, before that stupid half-brother of mind tries to find us," she remarked as they darted out of another store in Sector 5.
------------------------------------------------------------
Eyes snapping open at finding the pair, Silencer left his room where he found three heroes gathered---Pyra, the Jade Cat and Shadow.
"There is another robbery going on in Sector 5. The heroes are being overwhelmed," he remarked.

Pyra rolled her eyes over at Jade. Her lips remained stern and abrasive. Really? she sarcastically thought, staring out Jade's cat, Tilly... You're the culprit aren't you? You know what I could do...

Pyra laughed for a moment with images of fire and Tilly swirling around her head when she saw the communicator hanging on Jade's belt. That's right.. they always have to carry that thing around.. I wonder...

She looked back at Victor's door, making sure her notice of the communicator wasn't obvious. "It doesn't seem like he will be back in awhile; I guess having a second hair-free meal wouldn't hurt. Especially if that takes away the chance of going into my appointment with an empty stomach." Pyra laughed, being sincere was exorbitantly difficult, especially when a plan was still forming in her head.

But still, she stood up from her chair and wiped out the wrinkles from her jeans; she was going to stall with this plan as long as she could because this was all she had... until Silencer came running out of his room when they were a few steps towards the kitchen.

"There is another robbery in Sector 5; the heroes are being overwhelmed," he spoke.

Pyra froze, taking in the information and silently calculating the pros and cons of leaving that second, but, after half a minute of battling inside of her head, Pyra's heart won out.

"Sector 5. Got it." She authoritatively voiced, sounding as professional as possible before she turned around, ran out the door, and jubilantly smiled at the fortunate stroke of luck.

Alecia's blonde curls were pulled back into a comfortable ponty tail. Her unseeing eyes roamed about like she was looking for something, but it was her body that was really doing the work. The girl's pores acted like the small holes on fish or bat's echolocation; they recieved all sorts of vibrations so that she could still picture what was about her without actually having to see. Currently they were being used to navigate the very large and decidedly not memorized mansion that housed the Omega Alliance. Alecia, or the Chameleon, had just finished retrieving herself some cereal because she didn't trust anyone to cook for her. The food had been found and now she was having trouble finding her room - an honest mistake. She brought a bite of food to her mouth and chewed thoughtfully.

The girl heard her communicator buzzing and the subsequent warnings about the robbery. Cupid bow lips turned downard into a frown, but the girl continued her trek down the hall, this time with a new direction. She couldn't go out in the rain, all the water and vibrations gave her a headache - she needed to learn how to filter them out. Her sister, however, was stuck out there and she needed to know if there would be back up

Alecia heard the distinctive voice - of course, all voices were distinctive to her - of Silencer ring out as she neared the common room. Her barefooted step hurried and she peaked in her glassy eyes gazing about quickly in an unnerving manner.

"Are we sending backup? Is Vanessa there yet?" She asked a little more worriedly. She hated not being on patrol with her sister.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Vanessa didn't run for patrols. Oh, no sir. She flew. The girl hadn't completely changed for this mission - she was trying out her new tactic of acquiring certain animal traits that would be useful without a complete transformation. It worked well with wings she found, and it was fun. Except whenever it was raining. Then, it was awful. The rain pelted her face and stung and her hair was a mess, but she had to stay up there because no one else could get there.

Her communicator was not strapped to a belt like everyone else's. Her's had to be kept on her arm band so that when she changed it didn't get lost.

"I'm on my way to Sector 5," she said as she heard the commotion coming in over the static. From her vantage point she could see two figures fleeing the scene as others poured in.

"I have Brown Widow and Sub-Lock in sights. I'm going to pursue," she said with a predatory growl. With that two black wings stuck to her side and she swooped down like a Crow after a shiny piece of tinsel. She aimed at Brown Widow but was thrown off course into a less than graceful (or comfortable) tackle into Sub-Lock when Twister decided to let out a shot of lightening.

"Son of a..." she said and hissed in pain. A glance to her sagging wing told her she would not be able to use them to her advantage. Her brown eyes darted upward as she looked at the recovering Sub Lock.

Well, she thought, I won't be able to fly. But is it worth trying to change? She hated trying to change fast it hurt more and afterward she would certainly have hell to pay in torn muscle. However, there did not seem to be much of a choice. Soon, instead of a what comically resembled a fallen angel, was a large, snarling wolf with an absurdly red coat.

Vanessa growled and felt newly formed fur bristle as she stared at her opponent. She barked and snarled to issue her challenge, though the words were clear enough in his mind - a convenient way of communicating when she really put her mind to it, although it didn't always work especially when she was tired or very angry.

"Let's dance," the snappy and ridiculously cliche one-liner sounded off in Sub Lock's mind even as the wolf launched herself forward trying to grab his arm with a forbidding set of sharp teeth.

Vector did not look back as he was addressed by Sahara Mist, continuing to watch the scene that was unfolding with distaste. “To be frank, I’m not quite sure.” It was one of the only times Vector was at a loss for what to do; while the battle could go either way at this point, it seemed the Brotherhood had the upper hand. “But this is no time to think. We need to take action and get these criminals apprehended before someone gets hurt.” He moved forward to assist Calico in capturing Willow, thankful if they could at least get one villain tonight.

--------

Shatterstrike was closing in on Sub-Lock when suddenly Vanessa flew in and took over. She skidded to a halt just as Vanessa transformed into a ravenous wolf, flying at Sub-Lock and latching on his arm.

“Get off!” Sub-Lock growled, sending jagged shards of ice shooting up from the ground. He spun around quickly and sent sharp icicles at Shatterstrike, one of them embedding itself in her thigh. The cold sting was like a knife stabbing her skin as the crystal entered from one end and came out the other side, but got caught somewhere in the middle. Shatterstrike fell to the ground with a pained cry as her strength gave out completely. A weak call for help escaped her lips as she felt a numbness spreading over her body from the icy wound.

--------

Brown Widow yelped as the Destroyer’s dark energy blast connected with her abdomen, sending her flying to the concrete. The bags of money she’d been clutching slid over the edge of the roof, falling 70 feet down to oblivion. When the Brown Widow had regained her footing, she glared at the Destroyer with fire in her eyes. These pesky heroes had gone far enough. She listened impatiently to the banter between the Destroyer and Twister, instead settling her sights on Calista. The girl seemed distracted, and Brown Widow took the chance to strike, jumping forward with bo staff extended. However, the weapon was more of a distraction than anything. Swinging the thin metal about, Brown Widow stabbed Calista in the arm with a poison-coated fingernail. The venom was in place in Calista’s bloodstream and the effects would be devastating if left untreated.

Indigo was monitoring the outside surveillance cameras, her eyes scanning each one quickly, but everything seemed to be quiet. She was about to turn when something caught her eye, perhaps the wind, perhaps something else that was causing the bushes to bend and wave. Leaning forward in the computer chair, she caught the briefest glimpse of a dark shadow moving toward the headquarters, followed by other members of the Brotherhood who weren’t occupied at the bank.

Emergency lockdown activated. The lights in the house flickered out momentarily, blinking bright red. To any normal person, it may have seemed like an odd rave was taking place, but this was an emergency. Indigo grabbed her “magic” guitar and turned on her heel, heading out of the surveillance room to find her teammates.

A sudden rift tore through the air of the hallway and Indigo stopped short, watching as Hourglass and the other Brotherhood members crawled out from the portal. The emergency lockdown could not block teleportation and Hourglass knew it, judging from the smirk stretched across the alien’s face. She moved out of the way, allowing Allure to emerge from the dark energy circle. His eyes caught Indigo’s and he crept forward, the blue-haired girl too shocked to even move or use her weapon.

The seducer cupped Indigo’s face in his hands, roughly pressing his lips against hers. He felt her melt underneath his touch and the girl fell under his power, Indigo’s mind fully beneath his control. “You will do as I command. Attack your friends and have no mercy on them,” Allure purred in her ear, watching his spellbound zombie do as she was told.

--------

Decode immediately sensed that something was amiss. The blonde woman looked about the scene of the bank robbery for Vector, the urge to head back to the mansion overwhelming her. “Something’s wrong,” she gasped to Turbozero, fingers pressed to her temple.

“You feeling okay?” He asked, tipping his sunglasses down to see that she was ghostly pale. “You don’t look good…”

Decode shook her head. “I need to get back to headquarters… tell Vector I’ll work double shift tomorrow to apologize for leaving like this.” Turbozero nodded, watching her climb into her car and speed away through rain-slicked roads.

--------

Nightblade was in the kitchen when the alarm for the emergency lockdown went off, rushing out through the double doors to meet The Chameleon, Silencer, Pyra, the Jade Cat, and Shadow. All of the windows were shielded by panels of titanium, and all of the main entrances were blocked off. There was no going anywhere, which meant their teammates would have to do their best with the bank robbery. “What’s happening…?” Nightblade asked, but his question was cut short by the sound of the door flying off its hinges due to sound waves from Indigo’s guitar.

The Jade Cat looked up in horror and disbelief as their mind-controlled friend and the Brotherhood members marched in. Tilly hissed at her side, back arched and ready to pounce. “Indigo, what are you doing?!” The Jade Cat asked, extending her claws but reluctant to use them.

“Destroying you!” Indigo yelled, strumming the strings of her dark blue electric guitar and unleashing another destructive sound wave that rattled the room, causing glasses and plates to shatter on the tiled floor.

Behind her, Allure watched with a smirk on his face.

Bridgette waited once more until all of the bets had been cast, the wheel gradually slowing and the ball falling into slot 13. She grinned up at Alexander as more chips were passed his way, his earnings pile increasing tenfold.

“Ey, how come he’s winnin’ like that?” One of the men demanded, obviously peeved that he’d just lost five bets in a row. “He must be cheatin’ er somethin’… Ain’t no way you get that lucky…”

Bridgette only shrugged. “Them’s the breaks. And speaking of breaks, it’s time for mine. Care to join me?” She inquired, motioning for another worker to come over and cover the Roulette tables. Not waiting for an answer, she brushed past him and pulled out a carton of cigarettes that were concealed within her glittery black vest. Perhaps he’d follow, perhaps not… but either way she hoped it was the former. The redhead-gone-blonde headed out into the alleyway next to the casino and leaned back against the wall, cigarette in hand. Bridgette pulled out her lighter only to find that the fluid was empty. “Damn…” she cursed, trying to get it working again.

"Darn, this can't be good," Pyra cursed, the first sleeve of her outfit fitted on securely, but the second dangling at her left side.

She quickly slung her arm through the second sleeve and looked up at the alarm that was blaring through the mansion.

"You've got to be kidding me," Pyra slammed her fist down on her desk and kicked her door open. No one was kidding her, it appeared that the windows were securely fastened and, after she had run down the hall to the nearest exit, Pyra had to take in the fact that she was stuck.

"Jade.." she hissed to herself, "that brat... not wanting me to go help and fight just because Vector hasn't had the chance to give me a communicator." Pyra looked back up at the steel door. There was no way she was going to get through this, not with her current skill. No, she was just going to have to walk back into the kitchen all gloomy and strangle that cat.

"Uhh.." Pyra let out an endearing expression of frustration and stormed back into the kitchen. "Jade! How dare..." She began to scream and then counted the number of people before putting a cheek to cheek grin on her face at the sight of the Brotherhood. "Welcome."

'Before someone gets hurt' Sahara repeated in her mind but she knew that it was already too late for that. The Alliance were outnumbered at the moment and it did not bode well. Knowing that Vector was right she shut her eyes and let the chaotic air surround her. A deep breath had particles flying around her creating a dusty mist to which she used as disguise as she headed outside to help those in need.

-----

Willow was just about to overtake her sister when she felt another pair of arms wrapping around her and pinning her to the floor. "Sh*t." This was slightly embarrassing for Willow, though she would never admit it.

Calico's grin only widened at the look in her sister's face. "Thanks Vector." She almost purred out, reaching with a free hand to grab the whip that was just out of Willow's grasp. "You won't be needing this." Willow almost hissed out seeing her prized possession in the hands of another, but could barely move beneath Vector.

-----

"Forget this, they are taking way too long" Zodiac growled out and moved over to the other side of the street where a Harley was resting against the crumbling building.

Turning to look over his shoulder he motioned for Crimson to join him. "Don't you trust my driving skills?" He teased to which his cousin could only groan.

"As if I would let you drive me anywhere!" One graceful hand pushed against his chest so he was sitting near the back part of the seat so her lithe body could slide into the front. "Now hold on..."

A black boot kicked the bike into life and they were off towards the heroes house to do more damage.

-----

"Seems I've been graced by Lady Luck tonight..." Was all Alexander said to the man beside him who looked quite miffed to having lost multiple times where Alexander had won each and every bet.

If only he knew how true his words really were, but he didn't think much about it because the lovely lady to whom he had been eying the entire night was moving away.

Bowing his head to the other players of the table he grabbed his chips and followed after the blond with a confident strive. Alexander knew that he was going to be in a lot of trouble when he got back to the Alliance but it was well worth it to be in the company of this woman who he did not even know.

Slipping out the back doors he looked both ways to see the blond leaning up against the alley beside the casino. Head lowered as she tried desperately it seemed to light her cigarette.

Pulling his own black lighter from his back pocket he walked up to stand close beside her, one hand flicking his lighter to life while the other shielded the cool winds from the flame, both hovering close to the cigarette hanging from her lips.

Without a word Alexander simply offered a smile and waited until her cigarette was lit before he pulled one out for himself and lit it before leaning up against the wall beside her.

[[OOC: Welp… I’m officially lost and late. x.x ]]

“Darnit,” muttered Control under his breath.

“What? System malfunction?” Mask asked from where she had a death grip on her friend’s waist.

“No, something’s going on back at the mansion. The readings aren’t tellin’ me much, but there’re some unwelcome guests in the kitchen area.” The boy scrunched his face in concern. He was normally so in tune with the tech in the building that he could locate specific people, but at the moment, everything was fuzzy and disoriented, just like… “Oh, no. Hold on, Mask.” The hover board whipped around and whizzed back the way the pair had come.

Mask turned on her communicator and called Polar. “Polar, take Holocaust, Loam, and Detriment on to Sector 5. Send Oceania, Voltage, and Maelstrom back to the mansion. Got it?”

The ice control’s voice crackled through on the communicator. “Yep, diverting supers in that direction. See you later.”

By the time Control and Mask returned to the mansion and got into the kitchen, things were chaos. Indigo’s guitar was wreaking havoc on the kitchen and causing an awful mess. Mask immediately took charge. “Control, see if you can stop that guitar from doing any more damage. I’ll take care of these guys.” She jerked a thumb in Allure’s direction.

--------

Delirium let out a maddened cackle from his spot where he was leaning on the doorframe. Hypnotizing someone was one thing. Watching the results of someone else’s control over a human was far more entertaining and less troublesome, for then you could not be blamed for the results. The man’s black eyeballs roved the room, looking for a victim. Spotting Pyra by the door, he grinned. Just the kind of person he was looking for. Opening his eyes wide, he stared at her, trying to get in her head.

[OOC/EDIT: 2000th post woot!]

Electra hissed as Brown Widow stabbed her in the arm. Shooting her with a solar blast then, she took to the air again to gain a better position for battle. Yet, she began to feel weaker as the moments ticked by and her vision blurred in and out of focus. "Poison..." Electra muttered under her breath as she raised a hand to her forehead to keep the world from spinning. She could feel the poison starting to paralyze her body, making it impossible to stay in the air. Groaning, as if in pain, her lashes began to flutter as she tried to fight against it, but the world soon started to fade to black. "Darius-help..." she said softly as her blue eyes rolled back as she passed out and plummeted toward the earth below.
Meanwhile, the Destroyer was locked in deadly battle with Twister. Growing irritated, the Destroyer began to drain the Twister's strength, hardly in the mood for games. Knowing that the battle would be lost for him, if he did not think of something quickly, a smirk crossed his lips as he saw Electra falling from the sky. "What's it going to be Destroyer?" he asked. "Me or the Girl? You can only have one." Turning then, Darius felt his face pale as he saw Electra plummeting to her death.
"Calista!" he screamed and abandoned the fight and dived for the unconscious heroine. Flying beneath her, he caught the woman as she fell into his arms. "Come on girl, wake up!" he told her as he scanned her to see what may have happened. Finally seeing the stab wound on her arm, he knew at once that she had been infected by Brown Widow's poison. Cursing under his breath, he knew he had to get her help and fast.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Miss Death continued to eye the scene until her eyes fell upon Calico. "Now, let's see how you like some pain," she purred. Creating a doll of Calico from thin air, she them stabbed the doll in the arm, knowing that would send a jolt of pain throughout the heroine's body.
------------------------------------------------------------
As shards rained down around them, Silencer used his telekinetic powers to cause the pieces to fall harmlessly to the ground. "Shadow, see if you can get to the others in Sector 5. Something terrible is happening there," he told her.
"But I can help you here," Shadow protested.
"We will deal with them. Just go. Reinforcements may be needed."
Not waiting to see if the girl would listen, Silencer used to his telepathic powers to get into Indigo's mind. This isn't who you are. You are one of us, he told her as he tried to undo the spell that was cast.
