Set during our pirates' quest for the Fountain of Youth.

Choices. These are what make man great; the ability to make a choice and learn from it, whether it be wrong or right. So what if you were given a choice to change an aspect of your past? What would you do? You may think that such a thing is impossible, but it is exactly what a group of familiar pirates are faced with. Before them lies the ability to change their fortunes, but little do they know how big an impact such decisions will have on their world...

So the gist of this RP is that each of our characters (Canon and OC) have a choice to change ONE thing, one aspect of their past. But without realising it their decision also changes their present. With this change our characters will forget their old lives as their new one takes form, except in their dreams. But this new world is not right and somehow everyone needs to remember.

(I would like to join with…

~ Cairbre Eagle
~ Rosalind Eagle
~ Guinevere Elliot
~ Eve Summers
~ Morgaine Ellis

And here are the changes to their pasts! :-D

~ Cairbre will not make a wish, but Rosalind’s wish affects his life too. She will wish that their mother had never died, and that their father had died instead. This means that Cairbre will have inherited the family’s title, properties and land, and that neither he nor his sister became pirates. He will become Lord Cairbre Eagle.

~ Guinevere wishes that she’d never been forced to become engaged to a man called Raleigh Devonshire when she was twenty years old. It was a dark time in her life, and she wants to forget it. She believes that she’d still have become a pirate anyway even if his death hadn’t forced her to flee England. However, this change in her past means that she continued living in England with her parents, and entered into an arranged marriage with Hunter Costello-Nightingale.

~ Rosalind wishes that her mother had never died, and that her father had died instead. Both she and Cairbre had despised their father, due to his violent behaviour, and more than anything Rosalind wants to see her mother again. However, this change in events means that Cairbre inherited their father’s title, and neither sibling ever ventured into the world of piracy. Rosalind’s new life will see her living with her brother in England.

~ Eve wishes that her father had never died. This meant that her mother never threw her out of their family home, and she never became a pirate. Her father will have helped Eve to find a stable job, and her new life will be that of Andrea’s lady’s maid.

~ Morgaine wishes that the Ellis family and the Ascot family had never disputed and gone their seperate ways. This means that she and Zoe have known each other all of their lives, and studied magic together. In their new lives, they form a powerful mystical alliance. Morgaine will live in England with the Ascots.

I’ve also made a little change concerning Guin’s name – in her bio it says that before she became a pirate her name was Amy Richards, but since I just can’t get used to calling her that, I’m changing it so that her name was always Guinevere Elliot. =) )

[[Okay, here's my intro post XD]]

Andrea Costello leant against the railings of the Pearl's main deck, watching the activity aboard the neighbouring ship, the Dowager Duchess, with disinterest. It hadn't taken long for Jack Sparrow to convince Alanna Medusa-Drake, the Duchess' captain, to aid him in pursuing the Pearl in return for sharing the bearings of the strongly desired Fountain of Youth. Once the Duchess had caught up with the Pearl the three captains had no choice but to pull their reasources and band together in order to find the ellusive Fountain, much to their combined chagrin.

Andrea couldn't deny that she'd seen such a thing coming, although she'd never say as much and especially not to her own captain, Hector Barbossa. But her foresight certainly didn't improve her mood on the matter. She and Alanna could be quite civil with eachother, when the occasion called for it, but otherwise Andrea held Alanna in poor opinion. She certainly admired the woman's brass and courage, making such a name for herself in a world ruled by men, but mostly her behavour left a lot to be desired. Despite this, Alanna would always try to convince 'Drea to join the crew of the Duchess and Andrea suspected that the only reason for this was so that she could be added to Alanna's 'collection'. She was a woman who craved strength and power, a craving that didn't stop when it came to building a crew. Andrea never found it hard to decline such offers.

Now the two ships found themselves having to make berth off the shore of a small island, in need of re-supplying. A select few were to go ashore and collect what they needed, whilst the others stayed behind to guard the ships. Calls attracted her attention to where Alanna and a few other members of the Duchess' crew were making their way over to the Pearl in a long boat. She sighed her defeat and moved over to the side steps, ready to help the new arrivals aboard.

Alanna appeared first, corkscrew blonde curls bouncing as she hurled herself up onto the deck. She nodded to Andrea, a gesture that was returned with a strained welcome.

“Alanna.” 'Drea said curtly, watching as the woman pulled herself up to full height so that cast an impressive figure, a good few inches talling than Andrea's own imposing five foot eleven. Next came Reinette, Alanna's cousin and first mate. Andrea held Reinette in an even lower standard than she held Alanna. The girl was quite simply trouble, looking to cause a stir where ever she went, caring not for the thoughts or beliefs of others.

“Hello gorgeous.” Reinette greeted and Andrea felt a sharp pinch on her behind as the younger woman passed, following Alanna. 'Drea simply rolled her eyes and ignored her, instead turning to hold out a helping hand for Zoe, one of the few people on Alanna's crew she actually liked.

“You should try living with her.” Zoe commented cheerfully, as she accepted the hand up. “It does get rather tiring.”

“Well I could have a word with the captain if you want, you know you'd be most welcome aboard the Pearl. Both you and Shiloh.” Andrea answered, a small feeling of pity swelling inside her for the young girl. Zoe was a small ray of sunshine and never ceased to cheer her up, not to mention she was a good friend. She hated seeing the pair stuck with someone like Reinette.

“Oh no, I wouldn't trouble yourself.” Zoe answered, eyes wide as if the thought of anyone helping her was an alien one. “It's not so bad, honest.” Andrea wanted to press the subject but instead simply nodded, sensing the topic didn't make Zoe feel particularly comfortable. Together the pair walked over to where the three captains had gathered, along with the other crew members that were to go ashore, and waited for their orders.

[[Aaaaaaaand we're off. If your charries are going to change their past please have them join the 'briefing'. Also we still need a Jack.]]

Anna Beckett sighed. "Clay, you just had to sail into that reef didn't you." She scolded the young man. Clay was her man the the wheel, and she knew it wasn't his fault. They has been ambushed by an EITC ship, and she knew looking at him he thought she was really mad. "It is ok Clay, we will be trapped on this island for a week at most. Come on, lets see what we can make of this island."

Clay smiled as he followed his captain, following them were the twins, Thomas and Caroline. The four of them never went anywhere with out each other. The Twins grew up in a hostile area, and Clay had later joined them. But it was Anna that helped them off the street when she offered the three jobs on board her ship. Of course Clay had never known where she had gotten such a ship or the crew she had But what he did know was that in time Thomas and Anna had become more then crewmates, and more than friends.

Thomas, and Caroline, just shook there heads. "You need to take teasing like a man." Tom, as he more pereferably liked to be called to Clay. The younger man waved him off as Tom went beside Anna. "He really does need to learn." he commented making Anna laugh.

"Hey isn't that the Pearl." Caro pointed out. The small group looked to see several boats from a second ship to the pearl. "Should we see what they are up to?" The woman asked.

Anna depated. "Jack might be over there?" She saw the twins stiffen. "Or not. But seeing what they are up too would not hurt. And as I said, we have a week at most before we can leave." Anna said and headed closer to the gathering of pirates on the one ship, as she got closer she reconized a few on deck, including Andrea Costello, a young pirate she had met before and had befriended, offered her a job on her ship, and was refused. Anna did not hold it againest the young woman, she was lucky just to have Andrea as friend.

((ok, that is one of the longest posts I have written for a while.))

(Hope this is alright, Lothy! The pirates of the Pearl and the Duchess are still aboard the Pearl, right? :-D )

Guinevere watched as the Duchess’ captain, and a few of her crewmates, came aboard the Pearl. She leant against the railings, enjoying the slight breeze which shivered her red hair. Jack, Hector and Alanna had been forced to work together, and so now the combined crews were to cooperate in pursuit of the Fountain. Guin was amongst the crewmates who were to go ashore, and at the moment she was simply waiting for everyone to gather round. It was interesting observing the interactions of her fellow pirates; Andrea’s dislike for Alanna, and even greater distaste for the woman’s cousin Reinette, was almost tangible. With a small amused smile, she made as if to go forwards, to join the group that was accumulating around the three captains, when she felt a gentle touch to her hand, and a familiar voice in her ear. “Not so fast…” Turning around, Guinevere faced Cairbre with a broadening smile, laughter creeping up on her. Hooking her arms around the tall, dark-haired man’s neck, she gently pulled him towards her.

“Why must you always sneak up on me?” she demanded, pretending offence. Cairbre touched his brow to hers, hardly caring that they were surely delaying the group that was to go ashore. He lightly ran a hand over her red locks of hair, before catching her blue gaze and holding it. She met his eyes warmly, grateful for the constant love he gave her, the support, the comfort. Despite their playful display, lately there had been something on Guin’s mind that had been troubling her.

“How are you feeling?” Cairbre whispered, so that nobody else could hear them. For the past couple of weeks now, Guin had been suffering from nightmares – the same one every night. Some nights she would wake up screaming; but Cairbre was always there to reassure her, to hold her as she shivered in fright. It was a person from her past that haunted her dreams; a man called Raleigh Devonshire, someone long dead. With a deep intake of breath, Guin leaned against Cairbre’s neck.

“I’m feeling better,” she replied, softly. “Just so long as I have you, I’ll be fine.” After a few moments she raised her head and kissed him. The somewhat lengthy embrace was interrupted by a dark-haired passerby; strolling past with a mischievous grin, Rosalind gave Guin’s shoulder a friendly shove. Breaking away, Guin stared at Cairbre’s younger sister in disbelief. “You menace!” However, there was a laugh in the back of her voice.

Rosalind burst into peals of laughter, her expression lit up. She noted Cairbre’s somewhat more than irritated expression. “Oh, lighten up, you lovebirds,” she said. “You can’t hang around all day in your own circle of blissful light! We’ve got work to do.” Darting lithely past before Cairbre could snap at her, she went to Andrea’s side. Rosalind was a playful young woman who enjoyed jokes; many years ago, she had appointed herself as matchmaker between Cairbre and Guin, and now that they were finally together, she could not resist teasing them.

She threw a quick grin towards the blonde woman, before turning her attention towards the three captains. Even at the age of twenty-eight, Rosalind was still very much young at heart; she seemed bursting with excitement, swinging her arms slightly and zigzagging her shoulders in a vaguely impatient manner, her expression vibrant. She glanced at Morgaine, a woman with golden-brown hair and tanned skin, as she joined the group, placing herself near Zoe.

Smiling at Zoe, Morgaine loosely threw her arm around the younger woman’s shoulders, amiably hugging her to her side. “You are well, cousin?” she enquired, attentively. Her gaze was always intent, but friendly. Releasing her after a moment, she ran her bold glance momentarily over Alanna, Zoe’s captain. “Miss Drake, she treats you kindly?” Morgaine often had a tendency to be over-concerned about her cousin’s welfare, but she felt it was with good reason. She was fond of her, and liked to know how she did. Her gaze moved away from the blonde-haired woman, towards Guinevere and Cairbre, who joined the group of pirates circling around the captains, and nodded to them briefly. The couple’s hands were entwined as they awaited their orders with the rest of the group.

Eve, too, slowly drifted over towards the group, feeling slightly at a loss, despite the underlying happiness that she had been picked to join them. It was well known that she was an excellent crewmate, able to operate well within a team, despite her self-doubt and anxiety. Others saw capability in Eve, whereas she was unable to glimpse it. And so she always had a tendency to believe herself useless, when that was far from the case. Standing near Guin, she forced herself not to fidget. With a slight glance towards Rosalind, Eve noted that the dark-haired woman did not even bother to restrain her own fidgeting. Cairbre’s younger sister sometimes seemed strange, at least to Eve – she often displayed great elegance and decorum, and the next moment she could be bouncing around without a care in the world. Rosalind soon caught Eve glancing at her, and she promptly pulled a good-natured face at her. Eve flinched away, turning her attention towards the shoreline. Her brow furrowed slightly. There seemed to be a group of about four people on the beach. She wondered what they were doing here. Shortly, she glanced back towards the others, awaiting their instructions.

Slipping up behind Eve, Henry rested a hand on her shoulder and smiled down on her. His eyes, however, were not filled with mirth nor pleasure. Instead there was a deep misery hidden within them and his smile was nothing but a false illusion towards happiness. Since helping his sister he had, of course, been forced to flee from the EITC and, of course, after Lord Beckett’s brutal death he had had nowhere to go. In England, he was wanted for treason against the Crown. He was stuck here and made made no better than the pirates he served under. His stomach twisted into knots at the idea. What abhorred him even more was the fact that, no matter how much he despised them, the transition from Beckett’s mercenary to normal pirate was not a long or hard jump. Setting his jaw, Henry looked straight ahead towards the land. He too saw the people awaiting 'though he could not comprehend what they wanted. Though it had now been several months since he had served with them, the ways of the pirates was still rather lost on him.

----

Patience was definitely not one of Joe’s virtues. Never had been, never would be--he was all about instant gratification. And this whole quest for the Fountain of Youth was taking months as well as its toll on his patience. He wanted, nay needed, some kind of money. The last time they had done honest pirating like this was… ages ago. Let's face it, restlessness was to be expected. Leaning against the railing of the Pearl with his back towards the sea he surveyed the deck, idly tapping his fingers across the wood. His mouth was set in a thin, determined line. If they did not find a Fountain-of-anything soon he was thinking of jumping ship. Perhaps he had tarried there too long as it was. Things were becoming a bit too prickly for his taste around here between the captains forced to work together and Lucette’s continually piercing comments and glares.

His eyes rolled over to where she stood. Her own doe brown orbs met and held his and for a moment a silent war of the wills was waged between them. Lucette herself had grown frightened at her own foolishness. She was smitten with Joe and could not control herself--a thing which terrified her. At the same time, the fact that Joe had the nerve to move on and give his attentions to Pierce infuriated her passion for him. She was mad with desire to have him near her, to have him with her forever. And she was mad at herself for losing him in the first place. A torrent of pain waved through her heart and she watched in bitter jealousy as Cairbre and Guin shared tender words. Tossing her brunette curls she followed Cairbre and Guin and joined the group encircled around the captains. Lucie, in spite, pushed her way between Cairbre and Guin, forcing them to release their hold on one another’s hands.

“Ton amour est précieux comme l'or,” she spoke in her native tounge, more than a hint of sarcasm was on her lips as they curled at the couple. However, no amount of insulting others made her feel any better about herself. Her heart still ached terribly and would not be satisfied which caused her to become even more vexed.

[btw, Lucie said "Your love is precious as gold". :P and hopefully you don't mind that I godmodded Guin and Cairbre a tad]

"I can't believe him! I can barely bare to to look at him. He just had to bring it up didn't he?" Dante was fuming, a sight that Aurora-Rose could say that she had never seen before. It actually frightened her to the point that she was standing still, head tilted to the side and brows furrowed as if she wasn't quite believing what she was seeing.

But she was and Dante didn't seem to be stopping. He continued to rant on and on about things in several languages that A-Rose didn't even know he knew. What she could make out was that Soren must have done something dire to make Dante act like this.

Doing what Aurora-Rose did best, she stalked over to Dante and wrapped one arm around his waist pulling him close while the other hand was placed upon his lips quickly silencing him. She had to stop the laughter bubbling up inside of her as she watched his amber eyes widen in disbelief before they crinkled slightly in a way that told Aurora-Rose if she was anyone else she'd be in big trouble.

"Now pacing the hallways is not going to help you solve anything. Just forget things for now and let's finish what we were sent down here to do." Barbossa had ordered them to finish the preparations before they went ashore.

Sufficiently distracted Dante seemed to cool down a bit as they gathered some extra rope and some provisions before making their way back up to the deck.

Half way up the stairs, A-Rose paused when she heard muttering coming from a nearby closed door. Her eyes glanced towards the door and made a move towards it but was stopped by the hand of Dante on his shoulder. Her head whipped around to look at him and all he did was simply shake his head.

"You're right." She muttered, hating those words but knew they were truth all the same. Ignoring what, or more likely who lay behind that door she continued her trek upwards with Dante in tow.

=====

Shiloh followed after Zoe, hefting himself over and onto the deck. He couldn't help but roll his eyes at the blond's reply to Andrea's question. Reinette was not an easy person to live with and found himself frequently tempting fate and planning his escape but knew that he couldn't leave Zoe with the slightly crazed crew.

And so he dealt with her, like the rest of them had to. It wasn't always bad, but it wasn't good either. Sighing he followed the girls towards the Captains where they awaited instruction.

[[Since I realized that Gabriel wouldn't be with the Pirates I am going to have him either be a captive of the crew or he just happens to be in that area doing some sort of Navy Patrol when he sees the pirates docking...Bethany will come later because I am void of inspiration for her at the moment xD]]

~ Hector Barbossa: Would never have mutinied against Jack and instead took the younger captain under his wing

~ Phillip Radcliff: Would have followed his mother when she left his father. It would have lead him to Tortuga where she runs a brothel.

~ Christine Geddes: Would choose never to go to her aunt's in the states and therefore would not have met the pirates.

~ Joshamee Gibbs: Would have chosen to stay in the navy and would not know of the pirates as well.

------------------------------------------------------------

Hector strode onto the deck, every bit the captain everyone knew him to be. Sharp eyes gazed about the deck looking for arriving captains. Of course, he was loath to work with the two. Working with Sparrow was bad enough, but Alanna was twice as bad. It was more trickery to worry about, not to mention her crew was endlessly bothering 'Drea, which did not sit well with him.

The woman on mind was standing toe to toe with the tall blonde captain whenever he arrived to the bright sky and crisp air. He took a moment to survey Andrea in a state he found very pleasing - sharp faced and challenging. A smirk found its way to the forefront of his features, but disappeared equally as fast.

(Aramel, I was thinking that Jack and Christine might have repaired their friendship a little bit, but if that doesn't fit in your plans then I can change the post.)

"Alanna," he said, dragging out the syllables a tad as he stood next to 'Drea an unconscious barrier between her and the sometimes over bearing women. "Glad to see yah made it without any...unfortunate accidents. Now, where's Sparrow? Once he arrives we can start our arrangements," he said while his blue eyes locked on her form discerningly from under his hat.

------------------------------------------------------------

Christine tapped her foot against the wooden deck of the Duchess. She had left the crew of the Pearl and joined Jack on his adventures. Everyone else had abandoned him - even Gibbs had stayed to be closer to Morgaine. She felt that at least one of his old friends should have been near him.

The two still fought and bickered and at times the old hatred welled up, but all in all it hadn't been awful. Christine still was more melancholy than she had been when she was young, and the faith she used to have in Jack was still shaky at best, but she was certain the man had faith in her friendship.

"Jack! Jack!" Christine called out to the man - they were close to the last ones on the ship. The captain had been dawdling. "Honestly," she said when she had found him and pulled him into a longboat. "This was all your idea and now you insist on making us all wait," she scolded without any real venom in the words.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Gibbs stood on deck with the rest of the crew where he easily picked Morgaine out of the ever growing crowd. She stood with her cousin, arm slung about her neck. He smiled and wove through the deck towards her.

He mirrored her actions and put a hand on her shoulder. "It's quite a meeting isn't it?" He said with a raise of his brows while he surveyed the people hopping onto deck. "But where the blazes is Jack? This seems to be an important event, fine time to be late," he said with a chuckle.

[[It’s fine with me, Maeth - I’m good with having Jack and Christine on somewhat friendly terms. :yes: ]]

“Simply savoring the moment, Chrissie,” Jack teased, patting her on the back affectionately and standing up to climb the side of the Pearl. To say that the infamous Captain Jack Sparrow had nervous butterflies in his stomach was absolutely absurd. The sick feeling he felt was something entirely different in the least. It was more of the fact that he was reluctant to work together with Hector Barbossa - the very man who had long ago mutinied against him… the man who should’ve remained dead after being shot during the events on Isla de Muerta. Not one for quick forgiveness, it was true enough to say that Jack still held a grudge against Barbossa after everything they’d been through. But that grudge would have to be held in check if they were to find the legendary Fountain of Youth and live forever. So for the time being, Jack suppressed the negative feelings that made his stomach ache and plastered a smile onto his face.

As Jack set foot on deck of the Pearl (his precious Pearl in all its glory), it was as if all eyes were on him. It was because of the dreadlocked man that they all waited here expectantly, eagerly wondering what was to come next. Jack stretched his arms to the sides and walked towards Barbossa as if ready to embrace him in a bear hug, but the gesture was simply a way to make his entrance appear grand and long-awaited. “Friends, acquaintances, and those who I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting,” he began, addressing the crowd, “I am Captain Jack Sparrow, and I have urged you to gather aboard this magnificent vessel today, along with my esteem-ed ‘colleagues’, to gather provisions for our voyage to find the renowned Fountain of Youth.” As a murmur passed through the crowd, Jack glanced at Barbossa, still smiling. “Hector… dear Hector. If you would be so kind as to make clear the arrangements so we can begin…?”

+*+*+*+*+*

Vari stood by Edward as Jack came aboard and explained the situation. The brunette shifted impatiently as she glanced past Ed, focusing her gaze on something else - or rather, someone else. Joe Kerringston, watching as his precious Lucy moved away from his side to interrupt Guin and Cairbre’s moment. Without a word, Vari carefully slipped past other crewmembers, passing Aurora and Dante on the way and grinning slyly at them. It was obvious that Vari and Edward were undergoing another one of their “on-again, off-again” relationships, and currently things had cooled down -- too much for Vari’s liking. Edward was spending far too much time around that Eve girl and her friends. It had been almost a month since the two had spent a romantic night together, and Vari was simply unsatisfied with the turn things had taken.

She slunk up behind Joe with a determined demeanor and braced her hands on his shoulders, moving in a slow massaging motion. Keeping things as clandestine as possible, Vari simply whispered in his ear before moving away: “I think we should get lost on this island together…” A gentle kiss upon his jaw (as all eyes were turned away from the two), before Vari pulled away and stood by his side.

+*+*+*+*+*

Edward had hardly noticed that Vari was gone, for his attention was focused on Eve and her brother, Henry. The latter had his hand resting upon her shoulder, and Edward did not like it one bit. Over the past few months, he and the petite blonde girl had become somewhat close - while the distance between himself and Vari increased considerably. Her animosity towards Eve was nothing surprising, for that was Vari’s nature, but there was an underlying tone of something else. Jealousy? Perhaps. But Edward could not be sure.

He saw an odd look in Henry’s eyes and figured that the man was depressed about losing his high ranking job serving Lord Beckett. In fact, that was yet another thing he disliked about this man - the fact that he had suddenly, magically, turned pirate. It had been some time since he’d found himself out of a job, but someone so anti-piracy could not just leave their past beliefs behind and become a swashbuckler. It simply didn’t happen. But when it did, it was usually an attempt to gain the pirates’ trust and then betray them.

Ed waited patiently for this briefing to be over with so that he could pull Eve away and speak with her in a more secluded setting.

Soren came up the stairs a while after everyone else, uncaring what vital information he might have missed. None of that mattered right now anyway; he was too preoccupied thinking about the heated argument that had gone down not an hour ago. The heartbreak and sadness hadn’t hit yet, though he was sure it would happen at any time. Rage still flowed through his veins; how Dante could act like that was beyond him.

He pushed past his ex-lover and Aurora without a word and settled into the crowd of familiar faces. Even though he was completely furious with Dante, he would never do anything to physically harm him - the very opposite of what many others would do if they were in his situation. But Soren was truly a lover rather than a fighter, and right now “love” was just another word he didn’t want to hear. The next town they made port in, Soren would get off this accursed ship and try to move on with his life. Because Dante had made it awfully clear that they were finished for good.

An angry tear fell from his eye and he quickly wiped it away before anyone could notice that he was upset - though the negative energy feeding off him was bound to get someone’s attention.

+*+*+*+*+*

[[I won’t bring Keyara in until the new world thing happens - because she won’t actually be making a wish, but her life will be affected nevertheless. ;) And it feels so wrong playing Soren without Dante :confused: they go together like peanut butter and jelly. Ugh, but at least things will be put right by the end of the RP. :happy: ]]

Andrea spared her captain a glance from the corner of her eye as he stepped up beside her, his tone a strained civility to match her own. It was almost an unspoken agreement between them; an enemy of hers was automatically an enemy of his and vice-versa.

“He should be along shortly.” Alanna answered curtly.

'Drea watched as Alanna surveyed Hector before sniffing indifferently and turning her nose up, as if something didn't quite meet her standards. She had to repress a snort, the notion of Alanna having standards in the first place a laughable one. None the less she felt her blood boil slightly and momentarily her eyes caught the taller woman's, conveying a strong warning with an almost protective edge, angered that Hector was being scrutinised in such a way.

Alanna was far from intimidated however, instead of backing down as someone would normally do under Andrea's intense gaze she almost seemed to be rising to the challenge, lip curling back as if she was about to snarl. Andrea felt her jaw set and she made to take a step forward, only to be interrupted by none other than Jack Sparrow making his usual flamboyant entrance onto the Pearl.

She watched as he made his over-egotistical speech and couldn't help but roll her eyes at Hector with impatience. The man was completely self centered, at least when her captain made one of his speeches it inspired something within people and held a purpose, not to mention made more than a molecule of sense

As Jack finished she raised an eyebrow and purposely caught Hector's eye. Dear Hector? Only Sparrow could get away with referring to her captain in such a way, in front of several crews no less. Well, Andrea herself could possibly get away with it as well, but not without a raised eyebrow or questioning look. Not that she'd ever call him such anyway, but now she was severely tempted, just to see what happened if anything. She felt a small smirk play across her lips and she turned away, trying to rid herself of the images that started to creep into her mind.

Zoe smiled softly as Morgaine approached and draped an arm around her shoulder, glad to see the young woman again after a few months apart.

“I am, thank you.” She answered he cousin's enquiry after her health with an accompanying nod. Her heart started to beat slightly faster as Morgaine turned her gaze to Alanna and asked how Zoe was being treated by her captain.

“She treats me just fine.” Zoe stuttered slightly, hoping the older woman wouldn't detect the slight nervousness in her voice. In fact, Alanna had discovered Zoe's abilities and ever since had been very interested in seeing what Zoe could do. Considering this was something not even Shiloh knew about, it put her on edge almost all of the time. She didn't like to admit it, but Alanna scared her and she found herself almost becoming a prisoner to her own fear. She didn't want Morgaine or Andrea seeing that weakness within her.

Guinevere’s eyebrows raised with irritation as Lucette pushed her way between her and Cairbre, forcing them to release each other’s hands. The girl’s obviously spiteful gesture was accompanied by a sarcastic quip in French, one that Guin understood perfectly but was not willing to make a reply to, guessing that Lucette would probably be pleased if she showed anger. Swiftly, her gaze turned towards Joe, at whose side now stood Vari – and she immediately understood the main reason for the girl’s behaviour: injured pride. Deciding to behave gracefully, Guin turned a pleasant smile towards her. “As precious as gold?” she said. “I’d say it was a great deal more valuable.” And then she dodged round her to stand at Cairbre’s side again; on her other side stood Eve, who looked somewhat uncomfortable beside her brother Henry.

Cairbre smiled down at Guin, annoyed by Lucette’s interruption but perfectly willing to let it go. He drew one arm around Guin’s waist. It was always very notable that whereas many other couples aboard the ship frequently had relationship troubles, Cairbre and Guin never had any. They were always perfectly content just to be together, appearing quite inseparable. This might have been a cause for jealousy for some, but it was also definitely fuel for Rosalind’s endless fond teasing. She often said that they were joined at the hip. Kissing the top of Guin’s red-haired head, Cairbre marveled once again at how lucky he was. Guin looked up at him, leaning up on her tiptoes to whisper in his ear, so that no one else could hear her. “I love you.”

Cairbre drew her closer, a slow smile spreading across his features. Guin’s expression sparkled. Even as Jack approached the group, these two could hardly pay any attention to anyone but each other. They’d professed their love for one another many times over, but it still felt as if every time they said it, it was the first time. “Really?” Cairbre grinned, lowering his voice, swinging his other arm about her waist. Guin laughed, not caring that they were in full sight of the others. Cairbre kissed her cheek, and she laughed louder as he lifted her in his arms with ease.

“No! No, don’t!” she squealed, as he began to spin her in circles, away from the group. Her arms wound tightly around his neck as she giggled hysterically, unable to help it. “No, put me down!”

“Now, you don’t mean that,” Cairbre retorted cheerfully. They were still spinning, and he was getting slightly out of breath. “You want me to put you down now?” Guin nodded.

“Yes!” she said, even though in fact she didn’t mind in the least. But Cairbre did as she said, and carefully set her down on her feet. Cheerfully, Guin rolled her eyes and sighed. “Shame. I was quite enjoying myself,” she said, mischievously. With an outburst of laughter, Cairbre gently pulled her back towards him.

“You’re not getting away that easily,” he reprimanded her, mock-seriously, with a bright smile.

“Why would I ever want to?” she said, before he leaned down and kissed her again. Every day was a joy for this couple, and they didn’t care at all if their happiness irritated others. At the moment, the Fountain of Youth was the last thing on their minds, although they knew they had important work to do.

~~~
“Sweet, isn’t it?” Rosalind remarked to Eve with a grin, indicating her brother and Guin. Eve nodded, feeling slightly uneasy with Henry’s hand on her shoulder. She knew that his display of cheer was nothing more than a façade, and she didn’t like it. If he didn’t want to be here, then why didn’t he just leave? It was the last thing she wanted, but if he wasn’t happy then he should say so. She hated it when people pretended. Glancing up towards him, she attempted a smile in return. Still, she couldn’t quite bring herself to confront him. Despite her doubt, she cared about her brother, and didn’t want to lose him.
As Jack approached the group with outstretched arms and addressed them all, Eve’s attention was drawn elsewhere. Glancing over her shoulder, she noticed that someone was looking at her; not just anyone. Edward. His green eyes were fixed on her and Henry, and she wondered what the matter was. Lifting her hand to wave, she directed a friendly smile towards him, which lit up her features, making her look sunny. She noticed that Varianna had left his side to stand by Joe, but Ed had not seemed to notice this. His gaze was unwaveringly on her.
Lately, she and Ed had become very close. She did not know how this change had come about, but she was glad of it, more than she could possibly say. The time they spent together were the happiest hours of her life. When they talked, the passing of time seemed irrelevant. It had not escaped her notice that Vari now behaved hostilely towards her, but she didn’t really care. Finding that she could no longer stand about in silence, Eve slipped away from her brother’s grasp and found her way towards Ed’s side.
She beamed up at him, her face almost shining. “Are you alright?” she enquired, all of her anxiety peeled away just by his presence. Around him, she felt like an entirely different person. She searched his expression for any sign of something being wrong, and then reached out to very gently touch his arm. Her heart was hammering hard, but she appeared perfectly calm. She had become used to the extreme effect Ed had on her heartbeat, whereas once she had used to fear it. After allowing a small pause to stretch out, she spoke again. “I saw you were observing Henry and I.” She paused again, suddenly finding herself wanting to put her thoughts into words. “Matters between us are… uncomfortable… lately.” She shrugged her slim shoulders, struggling to be articulate. She longed to tell Ed just how torn she felt; on the one hand, she wanted to speak to Henry about him hiding his depressed feelings, but on the other, it was the last thing she wanted. “I don’t really know what to do.” Leaving it there, she simply looked at him. Not for the first time, it hit home to her just how beautiful he was. Her hand was still on his arm; she felt absolutely no desire to pull away.
~~~

Morgaine smiled at Gibbs as he appeared at her side, placing his hand on her shoulder. She was always happy in his company, but at the moment she was somewhat distracted by Zoe’s muttered words. Despite her cousin’s reassurances, Morgaine could not help sensing that everything was not just fine. Tension seemed very thick in the air as once again she looked at Alanna without reserve, her gaze piercing, before she looked back towards Zoe. There was a small pause before she spoke again, lowering her voice. “Well, if she fails to treat you kindly, then you tell me,” she stated, simply. “You tell me, and I’ll sort everything out. I promise.” Morgaine did not hand out promises lightly. She believed that she had good reason not to trust Alanna. With a small glance back towards Gibbs, she nodded to him. Even if he had overheard her, she knew that he could be trusted; he was her friend.

Dante stumbled a bit when a body pushed past him. He was about to rip the person a new one when he saw who it was. Soren... Anger boiled up even further inside of him and if it wasn't for Aurora-Rose's hand on his shoulder he probably would have started a scene. With all his might he turned his attention away from the blond to the Captains, or more specifically Jack Sparrow who was announcing their plans.

No matter how much he tried to focus on the Captain's words and the promise of eternal youth he just couldn't. Amber eyes continued to glance over to the blond, heart stopping when he saw a stray tear fall.

He took a step forward, intent on comforting the other, but then he remembered what had happened to get them in this position in the first place. Dante's guilt and anger was overwhelming him, but his feelings for Soren were still there even if he had broken it off. It was the heat of the moment, he knew that, and he also knew they would have to talk again.

In all actuality, Dante wasn't ready to let Soren go. Deciding to talk to Soren later he felt slightly more calm and returned his attention to the Captain's awaiting further plans on what they would have to do.

-----

Aurora-Rose was so close to slapping Soren and Dante over the heads before pushing them into a cabin, locking the door and throwing away the key. They could be so dense sometimes, but she knew that if she were to intervene it would only make things worse. A-Rose and plotting never seemed to go hand in hand, something always went wrong.

Shrugging her shoulders she turned her attention towards another familiar face. Varianna, what was that girl up to now. "Clever..." She muttered with a grin as the Spanish spitfire moved stealthily towards Joe. The love triangle between Edward, Eve, and Vari was well known to the crew.

-----

Shiloh watched Morgaine and Zoe for a moment. He still couldn't shake off the strange feeling he got whenever the two women were together. There was something extremely unsettling about Morgaine and it bothered him to no end.

Of course, he kept this all to himself. He would not want Zoe's ire because he did not approve of her cousin. Maybe he was just being paranoid, growing up abandoned on an unknown island at such a young age can do that to someone.

Instead of dwelling on his strange feelings, he listened to Jack talk about the Fountain of Youth, his interest now completely occupied on the new quest.

-----
Bethany had been lingering at the back of the gathering for a while. Arms crossed idly against her chest as she leaned against some rope. Eyes constantly shifting amongst the crew. She had been one of the last members to join the wily pirates and she was still trying to figure them all out.

Needless to say she had gotten her wish when she left home for an adventure. Never before had she been among such different personalities, she could honestly say she was always entertained.

Although her eyes were watching the crew, her ears were keeping up with every word that Jack was saying. Eternal youth, a very appealing temptation.

Continuing to watch the crew, she saw one in particular that did not look as pleased as the others. In fact he looked quite upset to the point that a stray tear fell. Bethany did not do unhappiness well, and so she decided to see what had caused such emotions.

Easily making her way through the everyone, passing Varianna and Joe with a grin on her lips, she moved to stand beside the blond. A comforting hand reaching out to rest against his arm. "Soren?" She didn't know quite what to say and so she simply waited to see if he would answer.

Although he was lost in his thoughts, Henry did perceive what was going on around him. Bitterly, he watched it and bitterly he allowed his sister to slip away from him. He could sense she had been uncomfortable, he could almost always read her like a book, but at the same time something about knowing she was uncomfortable made him pleased. Holding some small bit of power over someone made him feel like he used to and, he regretted to think it, it still made him feel fantastic. His cool eyes followed Eve to where she took up her favorite position -- standing on Blackhaven’s side. If looks could kill, Blackhaven would be well on his way to meet his Maker. He held Ed’s eyes only for a few minutes before breaking their silent staring contest.

Redirecting his infuriated gaze, he witnessed another repulsive event: the “Captain”’s speech -- if it could be called that. Did these pirates really belief in this waif who thought himself good enough to lead them? Henry crossed his arms and snorted at the idiocy of the whole event. He didn’t even try to hide the sarcastic sneer that slowly spread across his fine face. The Fountain of Youth, indeed. Hogwash. How could Eve have been taken in with these fools? How could he have been taken in?

Hating to think this way, hating the whole scene, and hating that these pirates were happy and celebrating while he was miserable, Henry ducked his head and slipped away through the crowd to a more secluded place. Indeed, how had Lord Beckett been defeated by such a rabble with such a foolish leader? Questions flooded through his mind, tormenting him. He had struggled long enough to put up a false mask of contentment. Why had he done such a stupid thing?

xxxxx

Joe’s brooding continued even after Vari had snuck up behind him. Though he relished in her touch and beautiful words, he had become exhausted of her merely using him while she and Blackhaven were apart. He glanced over at her as she took up her position beside him.

“What strange wind blows to entice such a beautiful Spanish rose back to this dark and forlorn pirate?” his poetical question was mixed with sarcasm, fun, and a small reprimand at her inconsistency. He was not one to fool himself though and, as his gaze rested on her, he knew he would love to “get lost on this island together”. But hadn’t he dealt enough with women who were vain and fickle in their passions? As this thought crossed his mind he could not keep his eyes on her. Instead they strayed to where Lucette stood looking lonely and pained despite trying to look her usual haughty, conceited self. His heart reached out to her, seeing the pain he felt within himself plastered on her face. Why did she have to be so proud? “Var, I have half a notion to leave the world of women to stronger, more capable men,” he turned back to his confidant with a wry smirk, “I’d give it all up for peace and quiet and good fortune for a change.” his eyes grew wistful as he overheard Jack making a grand speech about the Fountain which would make one youthful til the end of time.

Xxxxx

Guin’s reply only further infuriated Lucette. Her mouth pursed together in a thin line and her eyes sparked with held-in rage. Taking a few steps away from the couple she just stood there, trying to hide the emotions raging throughout her small frame. Although she tried to suppress them, tears welled, clouding her eyes. She glanced over at Joe who was undoubtedly trading sweet words with Pierce. She hugged herself and for a brief second caught Joe’s eye. This caused her to fight even harder to maintain her dignity and pride -- two things which were already lost. Unable to stand it anymore and without a word she turned her nose up and, with as much dignity as she could muster, turned away from the couple. They repulsed her… at least, she was repulsed with something. It was easiest to blame it on them. She plowed past the group gathered around Sparrow. She cared not for whatever he would say to them. Even silver, gold and prestige, which generally would have held her in rapt attention, seemed useless and silly.

Lucette bumped into Vari without looking up and pushed her way towards a secret nook where she could sort things out and regain her sanity and pride. Only one thing could comfort her now... the fact that she had had Joe mind, body and soul long before Vari had and she still held some sway on him. This thought held little comfort to a wounded and bitter heart which had purposefully pushed away the one it loved.

Anna smiled as she approched the ship. After a while she had sent Clay back to her own ship to retrieve a dewy, the dewy the 4, including a couple men, were now in making there way to the ship that held the meetings. And within time they made it. They could hear Jack Sparrow giving what he called a speech. Just hearing the voices seemed to make the Miller twins stiffed. "You sure you want to come?" Anna asked again. They nodded, so silently the four climbed up and onto the deck while the dewy was rowed away.

Anna looked at the gathering and raised an eyebrow at the collection of pirates.
