Despite the cool cloth on her forehead, Calista's fever steadily grew worse as the infection continued to rage through her already weakened body. Moaning softly as sharp pulses of pain shot through her abdomen, Calista twisted her head on the pillows, causing the cloth to fall from her forehead.

Rosalina picked up the cloth and rewet it before putting it on her sisters head. "Hold on Calista. Help is on the way." she said softly.

Groaning softly, Calista began to tremble and shiver as her fever continued to rise. Moaning again, she began to cough violently as she shivered from the cold.

Meanwhile, Darius raced off to search for the two herbs that he knew of that might help to bring down Calista's fever, although he knew that they grew a fair distance away.

Calista did not respond to anything Rosalina said. She was barely even aware that her sister was in the room and by her side. A sheen of sweat now bathed her sickly pale face as she continued to gasp and struggle for each small and painful breath among her unceasing and agonizing coughing fits. As her wheezing grew more severe, the awful grating sounds coming from the woman lying on the bed echoed throughout the still room. As time wore on a bluish tint appeared on her lips and fingertips as her body took in less and less air.

Meanwhile Darius continued to search for the herbs without much success.

Rosalina bit her lip as she watched her sister. She realized her sister was suffering an asthma attack the moment she saw the womans lips turn blue. But Rosalina never knew how to treat it. She has seen her sister use herbs, but never knew how they were prepared and which herbs to use. "Cali, I should have had you teach me." she said.

Moaning softly again, Calista coughed one final time before her body started to convulse wildly as her fever soared. As her arms, legs and trunk of her body began to twist and jerk, another moan escaped from her lips as foam started to bubble at the edges of her lips as she had another seizure in a matter of hours. Nor did her wheezing cease as she struggled to draw in breath, completely unaware of what was happening to her.

Rosalina paled. "Calista!" she cried out and moved to hold her sister down. "Why is this happening." she cried out, praying Darius would hurry.

Face shrouded by a dark hood, Gareth frowned as he spotted a home in the distance so far from civilization that the travelling mage almost took it be unnatural. Though he was not one to pry, curiosity drove him closer to the dwelling and as he drew nearer he heard the sound of a woman moaning and another crying out. Driven more now by worry he hastily made his way over to the abode and knocked on the door, wondering if he would be able to offer the women any assistance---his sense of gallantry making it impossible to deny aid to a woman in distress.

Rosalina looked at the door as someone knocked. "Who is it?" she called out asking, not wanting to leave her sisters side.

"Gareth, a mere travelling mage who has heard cries of distress and only wishes to help," Gareth remarked as he stood at the door. He knew that it would be improper to enter uninvited but at the same time the moans of one of the women was tearing at his heart and if he was not granted admittance soon, he would find a way to enter, with or without the other occupant's blessing.

Rosalina bit her lip before going to the door. "My sister." she told him as she opened the door. "My beloved went to get herb, but she has gotten worse. She has a concossion, and suffers Asthma."

Frowning at the woman's words, Gareth slowly removed his hood so that she could see his face. "Take me to her immediately. I have some knowledge in the healing arts," he told her softly.

As Rosalina went to answer the door, Calista started to vomit in her mouth. Yet the bile lodged itself deep within her throat, preventing her from drawing in any air and she started to choke on her own vomit as her convulsions still continued.

Quickly following Rosalina into the guestroom, Gareth stared for a brief moment in surprise at the woman that lay choking and convulsing on the bed. He didn't expect the lady writhing on the bed to be a beauty but then again he shouldn't have surprised just based on Rosalina's appearance. Although Calista was golden-haired while her sister's soft locks were the color of rich chocolate, both sisters would be considered fair by any standard. "Move," Gareth told Rosalina softly. "If you want any chance to save your sister, let me tend to her."
