"Then time it is, to meet your new masters," Yoda said, motioning towards the doors of the Jedi Council room. The doors opened and in walked two Jedi Masters. Each master walked straight for them and stood behind their perspective apprentice. The entire time Jax had noticed that Master Ploo Koon had not been in his seat. He assumed that he was on a mission. But now, as the Kel-Dor Jedi stood over him he realized why... Master Koon was his new Jedi Master! He felt excitement and eagerness but he tried to quiet his emotions for the time and bowed deeply to his master. |

Ayla looked up at her Master. Depa Billaba! She was very excited. She had always admired Master Billaba. She bowed deeply and smiled wide. "I so excited!" she said. "I have always admired you." Master Billaba smiled and nodded to her fondly. |

Though the two younglings were soon to become apprentices and take on separate Masters, despite the will of the council the force seemed to have a will all of it's own. The lives of these two would be forever intertwined and they were soon to find themselves on an adventure that would play them hand in hand along side one another... their new masters included. "Congratulations," Mace said to the two of them. "The ceremony will be tomorrow at noon. We expect you to spend the rest of today getting acquainted with your new masters." |

Ayla smiled even wider. She loved ceremonies! She couldn't wait! She turned to Master Billaba. "What would you like to do first? We could do some training... or we could just sit around and talk... or we could take a walk..." Master Billaba smiled, "Lets take a walk, youngling." They headed for the door and took a long walk, talking and getting to know eachother. |

Jax walked out with Master Ploo Koon, the duo headed straight for the training room. "I want to test your skills," Master Ploo explained. "Depending on your skill and fighting style, these things will tell me what method I should use to train you. They will also let me see more of who you are as an individual. You can learn a lot about a person from their tactics." |

Ayla and Depa walked through the flower garden and the courtyards, talking as they went. Once the evening was over Ayla said good by to her new master and went to her room. She could hardly sleep that night she was so excited for the ceremony the next day. |

Jax jumped as high as he could, blocked a projectile that headed towards him and then dropped to the ledge on the far wall of the room he was in. Master Ploo stood on the ground directing objects to "attack" the youngling. Jax rolled out of the way of another attack and then launched himself towards the next object. Landing on top of it in mid air and then shoving it down into the ground. He launched himself off of it and landed right on top of the next one before it was even off the ground. He had anticipated Ploo's next move and which object would attack next. Ploo chuckled and clapped. "Well done!" he said in his robotic sounding voice. "You have much potential and you have a wonderful balance of deffensive tactics and offensive moves." Jax beamed with excitement at his master's praise. "Don't let it go to your head," he thought to himself. "You need some refinement, obviously," Ploo continued. "But for now we can save that for after the ceremony tomorrow. You had better go get some sleep." "Yes master," Jax said with a bow. |

The next day Ayla got up. Deprived of sleep. But she could not tell. She raced to get ready and ran down the halls to the ceremony room. She was early, as usual. |

Jax stepped around the corner to see Ayla waiting at the room. He too, was early. "You think anyone is here yet?" he asked her. "I haven't hardly seen a soul since I woke." |

Ayla shook her head. "I have not seen anyone either." She tried to open the door to the ceremony room but it was locked. She shrugged. |

Jax looked around and finally decided to simply sit and wait. "I guess we just be patient." He sat down and started practicing a few simple force techniques. |

Time passed slowly and soon Jax really began to wonder. He knew they had got there early but it was now an hour past the time things were supposed to start. "I don't understand... should we go looking for someone?" he wondered. He looked at Ayla. "What do you think?" |

Jax nodded and stood to his feet. "Maybe something went wrong with an important mission or something..." he reasoned. Just as the two got up and started walking down the halls, however the door to the ceremony room opened and a voice called out after them. "Younglings! Come!" Jax swung around to see their old Jedi Trainer standing there. "Master?" Jax jogged up to him. "Where has everyone been?" Jax noticed that once he looked in the room everyone was already there. "We have been waiting," their old trainer explained. The two of you were always early. We had to test to be sure it was not impatience that caused this." |
