Banners galore: Jack Miranda Jayla Elizabeth I also changed my main character since it seemed awkward for all of them to be blonde. But anywho, let me know if you like the banners or not and I'll add them to the first post.

Added~ Now, just a few thoughts, because I want to clear it up before starting. If there are any ideas, thoughts, suggestions that come up during the course of the RP, I'd prefer we deal with them here rather in the thread I'll be creating. First of all, where do we start? I think that's important, otherwise I can't really get it going. My suggestion is that all three of our main characters, were in three completely different places, and then something (to be decided and figured out between the three of us) threw them back in time, and the RP starts with them waking up in, just a suggestion, Port Royal. On the beach, in the woods, whatever. Either together or in separate places. And then we go from there. And just as a clarification; they'll obviously know they've been tossed back in time, and they might have knowledge about pirates from back in those days or whatever, but the movies of Pirates of the Caribbean don't exist, and neither do the actors that appear in the RP. Oh and a final clarification: No god-playing, meaning no controlling each other's characters. Ever. It's tricky at times, but if you focus on what your character is doing and feeling it's usually alright. It's obviously okay to write things like "she looked at the pirate in front of her" or whatever - otherwise this RP would be sort of boring and weird - and it's okay to write "he seemed confused, and she figured that blabla". Example of not okay: "She looked at him and he nodded, motioning for her to follow him" - assuming that "him" is someone else's character. God. I'm confusing. But ya dig? And thoughts on how to start and the general course of the RP?

Okay, I get it. So, yeah, I agree that we should come from 3 different places, and when we get tossed back in time we land in, well I think Port Royal is a good idea, and together.
Question: Are we following the movies?

No, I don't think we should follow the movies. I think it'd be more exciting if we managed to create our own storylines. Besides, it gives us a lot more freedom. I'm thinking our main characters biggest concern will be getting home, anyway, so that should reasonably be the main "storyline" of the RP. Then it doesn't seem very unreasonable that they'd run into characters from there and either ask them to help, pay them to help, or whatever else. You know?
I think it's okay to make subtle references to things in the movies, like the curse from the first movie or Davy Jones and such, but I don't think we should feel tied down by them.
*Edit*
Another suggestion, to make it easier for us when we start: how about they don't end up in the same place, but cross paths after a little while and then have a massive moment of OMG, I'M FROM THE FUTURE TOO?! x] It'd make it easier for us too, because as we start out we don't have to focus on shaping our posts around what someone else says all that much. That's what me and my friend did for our other RP and I think that actually worked out nice, because then we knew the ropes of it by the time we had to start interacting. And by the time our characters are supposed to be talking or doing things together the posts will get shorter and we'll be more dependent on taking even turns to keep things going.
Like, if I ask Elizabeth a question I can't really post again until you've replied from her, and so on.
I'm keeping this open for now too, in case anyone else wants to join, and I'll close it once we've gotten started.

I'm waiting to see that our last member also likes the idea and then I'll try and get this started.

Sorry about the delay, but it sounds good to me. I have an idea about how our original characters find themselves in the past. Perhaps they could be involved in some kind of accident that somehow catapults them into the past (sort of like how Eustace and Jill found themselves in Narnia right before the train that was carrying all the friends of Narnia and coincidentally, their parents, crashed). Since Miranda's originally from Southampton (I'm a bit of a Titanic buff, so it was the only British seaport I'm the most familiar with), maybe she could be involved in that ferry accident that somehow mirrored the Titanic disaster (though not exactly, since there were only two fatalies in that particular accident, so it was hardly a tragedy). Just a thought.
P.S. Since I'm no longer using the Bilbo and Gandalf banner from the Hobbit, you can remove my claim (I just thought I would mention it in this thread, instead of just editing my post, due to the fact that nobody has posted in your premades thread since I have).

That sounds like a cool idea. My character will be from London, since I'm familiar with it and have lived there.
(Already removed your claim.)

So, is this still open? I know it says it is, but it would be weird not to ask, then later find out it's closed, and, well, yeah.

This is still open, if you want to join. I won't start this until after motorkitty has gone home at the end of June though, for obvious reasons.

All right, I am back to join this RPG. I'll just keep my earlier characters, if that's ok...?

Yeah, me too. I'll PM Marida and see if she's up for still being part of it. If so, I think we've already outlined pretty much where to start and such, so then after she's replied I'll go ahead and make the actual RPG thread and link it here.
