Drink up me 'earties yoho!
I want to do a Pirates of the Caribbean roleplay with one or two others. Here's a few things:
- Only three first movies may be referenced to. The fourth one was painfully bad. Sorry.
- No one-liners if we can help it.
- Some dedication, please!
- No playing with each other's characters. Meaning, at the start we'll claim a few characters from the movies as our own, which only we may control. As well as our original characters, obviously.
Now for the fun bits!
Actually, I want this to be one of those cliche "we fell into the world of a movie, help" roleplays. Because they can be a lot of fun if done right. Although I don't want our original characters to fall into the movie and be there like "hey, I'm in Pirates of the Caribbean and there's Johnny Depp", more just like "hey we've fallen into a completely different time period and who on earth is that rum-stinking pirate that keep staring down my top."
Savvy? *loves that word*
So here's an example of what it might look like: Just to give you an idea of what I mean.
I, Bellatrix, claim these here characters as mine: Jack Sparrow Gibbs Commodore Norrington and my original character Jürgen von Düsseldorf
You, random person of AU, claim these here characters as yours:
Will Turner Elizabeth Swann Barbossa and your original character Lady Heineken Longstocking
Then only I'm allowed to play the first four, and only you are allowed to play the other four. Savvy? So all other characters in that movieverse, like Anamaria or whoever, we'd both be allowed to control.
Are ye with me?
Now I'm thinking that the main priority of our characters should be to get home, but how, where, why, etc is what we should work on together. We should also decide if we fall back in time together or if we separately end up there and how it happens, etc, etc, etc. Basically, I want us to figure out a lot of it as we go along. If an original character wants to get a little oh-la-la with a movie character that's ok, as long as you're the person controlling them. And if you're not, you can always try to pick them up but the person in control might turn you down. Mwohahaha.
These threads always get so much longer than I mean for them to be. Le sigh.
So. Yeah. Want in?
(I'm just going to go ahead and pre-claim Norrington for mine, and then it's first come first serve. I think we should have at least three *set* characters each that we control, where one has to be an original character.)
Participants:
Bellatrix with:
Katie Evans, 26
And James Norrington
Torziel Evenstar with:
Jayla Martin, 15
And Elizabeth Swann
Marida with:
Miranda Spano, 30
And Jack Sparrow
Lhunardaien with: Killian Whytlaw, aged 25, and Gibbs
Will with: Anamaria
Orophin with: Kraven Hawke, 25 and Will Turner

So, is there a set template for our original characters?

Nope. I think if you want to create one you're good to go, but for my original character I'll have a banner, a name and her age. The rest will be reveled through the RP itself.

Okay. I will just do the name and age for mine. I don't know how to make banners.

I can make you a banner if you'd like. I'll be trimming this and working on my character for tonight, and once I can come up with a fitting actress/singer/whatever to portray my character I'll make a banner and post it here and then you can say if you'd like one too, aight?

Okay, yeah, I would like a banner later, thanks, but I'll have to take a while to ponder my character.

My characters name shall be Jayla Martin, age 15, dirty blonde hair, green eyes, and of course I have Elizabeth Swann. I would like a banner for both if you could, and do I pick the person representing my original character on my banner?

I have an original POTC character. Though I originally created her to be one of the Black Pearl's crew in the POTC universe, I can change it around a bit to fit in more with our time period. Her name's Miranda Spano, and she's 30 years of age and has long curly red hair and green eyes. She is played by Evan Rachel Wood. Here's a banner I got made for me when one of the POTC RPing sites I play her on was still active: As for the canon characters, I would like to claim either Capt. Jack (if you're not going to be playing him, since I understand him the best) or Barbossa.

Sounds awesome. You can definitely claim Jack, if you want. Just please. Please, don't have him end every single sentence with "luv" like people in RPG's or fanfictions seem to do. Also, do you want a new banner? I'm thinking to keep all the banners the same size, just to keep things sort of "even". I have a bunch of pictures of Evan Rachel Wood on my computer because she's the model of a girl in an original story of mine haha.

I'll keep that in mind, since I don't use the word much myself, even on greeting cards (my mom's not always thrilled about that, since she feels that I don't "love" anyone, which is not always the case, I just have a hard time expressing my feelings. Maybe it's due to my Asperger's syndrome, I don't know).
Yes, I would like a new banner, if you don't mind (feel free to make one of Capt. Jack too, if you'd like), since I've had this one for a while, and it's a little blurry.

Hey, I've got Asperger's Syndrome too! *highfive* x]
I'll get on them in a bit, no worries at all! I find it way too fun to make character banners. xD
