Looks like we got all our characters in. Mine is posted in the character board/section on here. So, plot suggestions? I do have some, but I'll wait to see everyone else's first. I don't want to say mine, and everyone just agree to them because I made the thread. I want everyone to feel like they can contribute ideas, etc. |

What time period are we thinking. I don't have any specific plot ideas but any I could think is partially determined by time period. Galadareth's character and Mine have a backstory but they don't meet until after the hobbit movies and before the LOTR movies. Sonif we could do a time after that inbetween phase would make it so their backstory was valid. |

Any time period you want to suggest. If it helps, we could do an alternate time line, that has elements of the movies, just no specific time. I understand that though. Marida's dwarven namesake OC and Lónannûniel meet in an alternate timeline after The Hobbit, but Thorin lives instead, and becomes King Under the Mountain. |

I'm totally cool with Thorin living and some alternate timeline stuff. So long as our time line was after the last hobbit movie the backstory for our characters would work just fine. If someone else wants a different time, though, that's no big deal. |

We don't have to go by that because OC!Merida isn't in this one. Just keep in mind, that pretty much all the elves leave Middle Earth through out LotR and at the end. So, might make it a bit tricky for elven OCs. But either way, I'm flexable. Lónannûniel is immortal, so she would be alive in most time eras. |

Timeline is equally as important as plot. That way we all know what characters can be interacted with. In some cases, some canon characters might not even be born yet, or would be a small child. So it's all good. |

I think an alternate timeline could be possible. Or set just before the plot of LotR happens. Then we're not bound by what happens in the books/movies. Also, should our characters meet at the beginning or have already met and started travelling together before the RP started? Start thinking of places it could be set. Anywhere you particularly like? |

Here is the link to a hub page I created about Naelia: http://hubpages.com/entertainment/Naelia It gives you the time period of the site where I play both Talina and Naelia (since I don't think they've changed it), so I wouldn't have a issue with setting the RP in the same time frame. The reason I used a new character was that I wasn't sure if you wanted to stick with canon with this RP, and to tell you the honest truth, I'm not that into Thorin anymore (but Marida is, so I won't be changing husbands anytime soon), so that's another reason (I don't hate him, I'm just more into Independence Day right now. Saw Resurgence for the fourth time on Friday, and I still love it). If I was more into the heroes than the villains in Independence Day, I would choose a new husband, but since I'm not, I'll stick with Thorin (for now).

I'm flexible either way. If you want to switch OCs to tie in with canon, that is cool with me. I'll always stick with canon, because most of Lónannûniel's background, is that she is Thranduil's long suffering wife, who is his match in battle (so to speak.) I'm totally over Thranduil as well, but keep him for the same reason as you, Merida. Despite their serious issues (if ME had therapists, he would retire off these two, and his family be set for generations to come) Lónannûniel does love him. |

I'd say it sounds like just before the events of The Fellowship would work for everyone. (Love the character page Marida!) I'm thinking it may work well if we all meet up in the beginning of the RP. Maybe there is a common goal they have gathered for or something? *shrugs* |

Yep. I do have an idea. Me and a friend were going to do an RP of this on another site, but it never happened. Both a mix of lack of interest of LotR on the site, and some other stuff got in the way. Some time after Thorin and the company cleared out Goblin Town in the Misty Mountains. Some other kind of evil took over, and were abducting travellers on the mountains for supplies, etc. Our characters were captured and met in the jails. We never figured anything out other than that. So who the evil are, and what happens next is purely undecided. |

Seriously? lol Micha's entire backstory is steeped in activity in the Misty mountains. He grew up in a militia but his family was killed and he went hunting orcs and goblins for revenge in the misty mountains for years until he died. There was some group of people (Now this is completely non cannon) that saved him/brought him back from the dead. They could withstand the bitter cold because they had ice in their blood and with that they saved Micha's life. The ice queen then sent him back to Rivendel. He kept adventuring and hunting the enemy but he lost his lust for revenge and mellowed out a lot after that. Due to the ice in his blood now he ages unnoticeably slow. years later he was in Bree and there were rumors of troubles brewing again in the misty mountains. He headed to Rivendel to see what was going on and that is where him and Sygnet (Galadareth's character) met. They were both with the group that took an expedition into the misty mountains to discover the source of the darkness. (This was the actuall RP that Galadareth and I played) There were people living in the mountains called the Elder Elves. They were ancient elves corrupted by darkness who wanted to destroy the other elves. (Details are a bit sketchy... this was a year ago. lol) In our RP we discovered the source and went back to Rivendel but we both ended up badly wounded so we never went back with the group that went to attack the elder elves and wipe them out. |
