No, it's perfectly fine to use that plot! Actually I am thinking it would work well because of that. Since Micha lived in the misty mountains for so long he would probably keep track of what is going on up there. That would give him a reason to go back, perhaps. |

Yeah, maybe. It would also work for Lónannûniel, because when she runs away, she always crosses the Misty Mountains. Thranduil never sends his guard that far. He depends on other elven realms to search for her and send her back, but they never do because they understand her reasons for leaving, and sometimes help her conceal her trail. |

We can change anything and everything about the plot. If the location is tricky, it's gone. It could be anywhere. If the conflict is a little dull, we'll mix it up. Like, two competing evils or something. I'm not even 100% certain about my idea. Since then I've played a game with a similar plot twist within the journey, and the game does it way better. |

I'm alright with anything! Micha and Sygnet could go down to investigate because they were looking for a small release from their domestic life. It would make sense to go back but I'm really fine with anything. |

Ah, that makes things a tiny bit tricky for me. It might take longer to post the thread before a basic plot is set in place. I have a lot going on with some various other projects, so I don't know how long that will take to fully think up a plot. I had hoped we could all work the plot out together. |

Well, I'm open to helping out. Does it matter what the source of the evil is? Maybe there was a goblin in goblin town that didn't die and he unearthed some ancient evil ot something. I don't knownif the Goblins had much treasure but if tjey did a dragon could have moved in... Or a balrog. |

A balrog is an instant no, because that is too much like the canon plot, and I could easily see the RP ending with all our characters dead, because I doubt we could fight it. We have to put some thought into the enemies. Just like how Tolkien put a lot of thought into the enemies. Everything is put into consideration that might help or hinder them. Also to be noted, I couldn't enjoy an RP where the enemy was there because it would be cool to fight them. Everyone else might feel differently, though. |

No Worries, just throwing out random ideas. I get what you are saying, though. Should we look for something not related to the books. What is you opinion of creating new creatures to add to middle earth? (Outside already established ones) What about a connection to Rivendel? Does Rivendel have any enemies that would seek to use the empty stronghold as a strategic base of opporations to prepare in secret for a full scale attack? |

What do you mean by creating new enemies? As in hybrids of existing enemy races or completely made up ones? Enemies to Rivendel, not that I know of. That one is difficult, and I would like to get opinions from Marida and Galadareth on that. Taking into account that Marida's character is a dwarf, with alligence to dwarven realms. Lónannûniel is the queen of Mirkwood, so her alligence would be there first. I don't see how a war on Rivendell would effect those two automatically, unless you have some further ideas there how they might be included. |

Completely new enemies is what I Was thinking. Not really any further ideas. Just theowing out random suggestions really. See if anything strikes anyone as something that could be worked with. |

I think enemies of Mirkwood would be a better idea, since then I could bring Naelia in (if you look on the character page I posted a link to a few pages back, you would see that she's the product of a Mirkwood Elf and a Black Numenorean. She was even taken to live with her mother's kin against her will, which cost her mother her life, so Naelia already has a bit of a vendetta against them in the first place). Talina has no ties to Mirkwood, but I can bring in both Marida and Thorin if you need them (just don't expect Thorin to be thrilled about the idea, since you know how he feels about Elves, especially Thranduil).

Enemy of Mirkwood could work. Okay, I just thought this up now, everyone tell me if you hate it. These enemies of Mirkwood who are settled in Goblin Town, know of Lónannûniel's wanderlust, and abduct her as she passes through the mountains. (Marida, if you want, Naelia could get involved here.) The enemies plan to use her capture as a means to start a war. The way all of your characters get involved, is either you hear an elven queen is held prisoner there and want to do some form of heroics. Or, the enemies are dumb, and abduct just about anyone assuming they have something to do with Mirkwood, and abducted you too, as you go through the mountains. |
