I noticed that many characters (mostly elves) have mithril weapons, armor, etc. No offense, but a mithril sword would be very valuable, as Frodo's mail (which Bilbo had earned) was worth a small fortune. I just don't know how a random elf could persuade their kind to allow them to wield such a weapon. I'm just suggesting moderation. My good friend Aemornion is an example of a character with perfectly passable mithril possessions. A Gondorian helmet (guides to Middle Earth mention Gondorian helmets being made of mithril) and a small belt clip. (which can be explained as being bought at great price) I don't want to spoil your fun, but mithril is a rare and very valuable metal. It's not likely there would be elves alive in the Fourth Age who somehow obtained weapons or armor without paying a large amount of money. (or bartering, if you don't think elves had money...)

of course it is rare and you don`t find it just anywhere, or at least this is my view also since it would be stupid if every elf would have a mithril weapons...

Well...I agree with you on your veiwpoint...but I also think that my character, since she is a royal, would have a sword of fine metal...plus mithril is the most widely known metal of LotR...
