Hi everyone!
I’ve been re-reading The Fellowship of the Ring and one thing that stood out to me is the delay between Bilbo’s party and when Gandalf finally tells Frodo that the Ring is the One Ring. I know he had to do some research, but considering how dangerous it was, why didn’t he act faster?
Was it just to be absolutely sure, or was there something more going on behind the scenes?
