Well, true Aragorn is (becomes) the King of Gondor but the poll question refers to the entire world... whether that be Middle-earth or let's say our world... perhaps both options!
I guess my vote would go to Aragorn too if I should choose between those mentioned.
Tolkien created his characters for specific purposes with different chararcteristics to fulfil their assigned parts in the stor, so Aragorn is the obvious first choice. However, I'm sure some of the others mentioned would make fine leaders as well under the right circumstances.

I voted Leggy. He should have been a king anyway. He was to be king of Mirkwood.

Sam *smiles happily* Just think about it. Sam is so good. He has his priorities in place, he protects ppl, he's brave...and he knows when to take charge!
Has anyone said Gollum yet.lol. it wud be a pretty screwy world if he was king. "We will ban eating from the world."
"No precious, we loves to eat. We will keep eating in the world."
Sam

I reckon Aragorn, because he is loved by all and makes the right choices...and if he is wrong, he is ready to admit it. I don't think the movie legolas would make a very good king because he is quite submissive, if you know what I mean, but in the book he is slightly more outspoken, but I still think Aragorn.

I'll admit it, my choice was rather bias but who says he wouldn't have made a good king? Besides, he's submissive because he realized that it was Aragorn's time to lead. I'm sure if Aragorn had not lead he would have stepped forward. I don't think he felt he needed to take charge.

Aragorn of course Galadriel would be a great queen, but Aragorn has to be the king, so the queen should be Arwen

Aragorn most definatly makes the best king. I doubt Legolas and Gimli would pay enough attention to the fine details, Frodo and Sam wouldn't want to be king, and Gollum would just mess everything up completely!

Actually Aragorn was the King of the Reunited Kingdom of the Dúnedain and that includes Arnor and Gondor. That was almost all Middle-earth. So I thing Aragorn should be the "winner" of the poll.

Miluiel legolas is mine (it's mine too ) you said Legolas was to be Mirkwood's king, he wasn't? I thought he became king! I mean did he become king or not?

Believe that Aragorn would be the best choice. Sam has principles but I don´t think that he would fit into the role of a king. He´s more the down-to-earth familyperson type. Gollum as a king for let´s say one day each year would be great fun. (Everyone has to eat raw fish!)

I have a lot of favorite quotes, i can't pick just one.
1. Where there's life there's hope. - Gaffer
2. It is best to love first what you are fitted to love. -Merry
3. Do not meddle in the affairs of wizards, for they are subtle and quick to anger. -Gildor
4. A traitor may betray himself and do good that he does not intend. -Gandalf
5. don't be hasty. - treebeard
Aragorn is the best one to be king because he was born for it.

Ya know, I still don't understand why this thread is titled "Arwen Undomiel" and yet, we are talking about who would do better as king of the world. I'll agree it's a fun topic to discuss but someone needs to change the thread title, as it's a tad bit misleading. Thanks!
