Thank you for sharing these illustrations. My copy of LotR is a regular one and I haven't seen them before.
I think he captured the magic of Middle-earth very well. Especially the Nazgûl and Gildor and his company.
Looking forward to see more!

I think I've seen some of these before, but nevertheless they never cease to amaze me. The colour and detail is superb! Alan did a wonderful job! I can't wait to see more. |

Wow! I've seen some of his art, but not the stuff from the books. I love the Gildor one. I wish I had an illustrated copy.

New Pictures! The House of Tom Bombadil At the Sign of the Prancing Pony The Black Riders I really like the one with the Black Riders: it's dark and dangerous. I also like The Prancing Pony. You can see Strider in the background of the picture.

I really like all 3! I like the water lilly border on the House of Tom Bombadil. And thanks for pointing Strider out, or I wouldn't have noticed him, probably. |

When you take a closer look you can even see the Fellowship! The Counsil of Elrond always makes me laugh. Elrond with a beard...
