Has anyone ever tried to contact one of the cast? Where you successful? What did you write about? I've been thinking about trying to write a fan-mail for a while and then I never get round to it, so I was just wondering if you had an sucess stories.

Haha, I am known as the fan-mailer! I have contacts in California who have gotten me some of the stars email addresses, but sadly I'm not allowed to give them out.

Anyhow, out of the LotR cast, I have mailed...

Sean Bean
Christopher Lee
Billy Boyd
Miranda Otto

...fan appreciation notes. Sean Bean sent me back an autographed photo, but the rest I haven't heard from as of yet. But anyhow, if you EVER need any addresses, contact me and Ill get them for you. I don't trust the "Fan-Mail" addresses, your letters are apt to get lost in there.

I did the same thing but you can't expect him to relpy to the thousands of letters he gets everyday. I really don't write expecting to get something back(as cool as that would be), but I just write to say I enjoy what they are doing and to say how talented I think they are.

My brother wrote a letter to PJ-but never got a reply!
I know a person on my forum who mailed Elijah and got a signed photo back!
They all must get mountains of fanmail a day!
