Well it's about a (sorry don't know the word in english) "a thing in space" that's going to hit the earth, and Grace's (liv) Dad an Boyfriend go (amongst others ofcourse) into space to destroy it, but then something gets wrong with the bom or something and than someone has to stay on "the thing in space" to destroy it, and then her boyfriend must stay, but in the end her father stays to destoy it, so that her boyfriend can marry grace...

i thought it was something like that.. it's been long sice i've seen it but it's a good movie!!

(sorry for my bad english  )

A metorite? (the thing in space that's going to hit earth)

Aw that's so sad! I saw a movie with a really similar plot one time...

Is it really sci-fi? A lot of technology?

Yeah, it's sort of like a sci-fi drama. An astroid is plummeting towards the earth and these drilling tychoons go into space to drill a hole in the astroid to place a bomb in it to destory it before it destroys the earth. Pretty much what Eruraina said.

Liv did a fantastic job in Armageddon
..I love the scene where she tells her `father´ off, on the oil platform..
and certainly her farewell scene with her `father´, was very emotionel

^I wasn't sure. I thought you might have meant there was some twist to the plot and he wasn't actually her father...

Yeah, Liv was great. I don't cry that often while watching movies, but the farewall scene made me cry. It's just so sad.

Wow, that's school how it is fun! I'd love to discuss Armageddon in class, but I'm afraid we'll never do it.
