Post subject:  The Scarlet Pimpernel (Ian McKellen)

Anyone seen this movie? It's rather old, but Ian McKellen is in it as the bad guy. It's a film about the French Revolution, actually based off of the book. I've been wanting to read the book too.
I love Sir Percy, he's so funny...:)

Yes, I have seen it. He plays Chauvelin. Antony Andrews was excellent as Percy. You should watch the 1934 version if you liked this one, with Leslie Howard.

That sounds cool. The one I've seen is the 1999 TV version with Richard E Grant as Percy and Martin Shaw as Chauvelin. I thought that was very good though I havn't seen it for ages.

yes i have seen this movie too. i didn't know it was him that was the bad guy until the middle of the movie! :lol: he looks kinna different but not really. . .
my friend showed it too me one day. i liked this movie.

lol. almost as bone-chilling as Magnito! :lol: it never ceases to crack me up that he's so evil in the movie!
