I use that site all the time. Any time I have a query about tolkiens works, or am looking for a particular bit of information, I always go there. I always get bugged because I can't remember some specific thing, and I can normally clear it up by going on that site. I do sgree though that it needs some more updates. |

the encyclopedia of arda's useful if your searching for stuff thats well-known, and extremely useful for games... *cheating* but if your searching for some unknown character or something it doesnt give u the best results. but overall i think its a great site. |

It's alright ... not as good as reading all the books, though |

Its not 100% accurate, and should be checked against the published works of Tolkien, but the ease of finding basic information is quite handy. Another good reference site is Annals of Arda. |

I've found Tolkien Gateway has a lot of articles on things which EoA leaves out. |

The Encyclopedia of Arda is an ongoing work, and there usually is a bit about planned updates on the topics. Tolkien Gateway is alright, but anyone can edit it so the valadity of the information is sometimes questionable. |

I love the fact the person running the Encyclopedia of Arda is very active in updating the information on it. Also, I use the 'Chronicle' feature to get a date-range of events which is really useful in writing RP that keeps in the confines of the legendarium. |
