Very soon after we arrived in the US in 1966, my dad bought an Encyclopedia Britannica (and we received the last Book of the Year, the 1976 one about 1975, in Germany, after which my dad unfortunately cancelled that), as well as a Webster’s Dictionary (the US equivalent of the Oxford English Dictionary). Since then I have been an Encyclopedia nerd. So quite naturally, Wikipedia was one of the first Sites that I added to my favorites. Both the English and the German version, with some interesting differences to be found in articles about the same topic, where I would have expected a much higher degree of overlap.

Rest of my post to be found on the Rant Thread.

The researchers suggest that students could improve their study skills by making better use of Wikipedia. Most of those asked used it to get a quick introduction to a subject. But while the website isn't suitable as an academic reference, it can be a good way to find sources that are: most articles include a list of their sources at the end.

In Internet terms, calling Arwen-Undomiel a "new" website is highly odd, to say the least, davidjohn - if that is what you meant at all. :wary:
