We store images, manuals, and videos everywhere. Shared drives, emails, old folders. Channels often show wrong images. Customers complain. Is DAM inside PIM really necessary, or can teams manage assets separately?

Separate tools cause exactly this chaos. This article explains why DAM is now core to PIM: https://startuprise.co.uk/the-state-of- ... tatistics/. Customers expect rich content on product pages. When assets disconnect from data, mistakes happen. Central systems tie images and documents directly to products. That keeps channels aligned and reduces publishing errors. It improves trust and conversion.

Once assets lived with product data, errors stopped. One source of truth changed everything.
