However, I'm kind of surprised that that would happen to you! I have over 700 images in my photobucket right now, and I've only used about 9% of my space

I'm not quite sure where to put this but I registered with Photobucket a week or so ago, and I've been using it a lot to uplaod things to my site. I find it much better than Imageshack, so I was pretty disappointed when after 1,000 images in my file, I can't use it anymore, as 1,000 is my limit. But according to the comparison page between free accounts (what I have) and Pro accounts, I should be able to have 10,000 images. Any help guys? |

It looks like it's limiting the total space you use, not the number of files. Free accounts get 1GB of storage, so you could have: 1,000 files that are each 1 MB in size 50,000 files that are each 0.5 MB in size 10,000 files that are each 100 KB (0.1 MB) in size and so on. So if you resize your images to decrease the file size, you should be able to store more. |

Thanks for your help Grey Pilgrim.  I don't think I can resize my images, because I do need them to be that size.Yeah, I was pretty shocked Gil. I actually haven't used that much space, or least it looks like I haven't. It's pretty weird. I have a lot of 800x600 images so maybe that's why. *shrugs* I signed up with Imageshack and downloaded the Imageshack toolbar. I can uplaod as many images as I want, so there are no restrictions. And as many images as I want at a time. I uploaded 36 images at once the other day. So as much as I liked Photobucket, I'm glad I've got the toolbar as it's really going to help.

If you have multiple e-mail adresses you can register for more photobucket accounts. I have three because I ran out of room alos. :/ |

I have both photobucket and the toolbar.... never had any problems with either.

You can create new folders. It use to be photobucket wouldn't let you link to anything in a folder, but they changed it I guess. You can put up to 1000 pics in every folder. I have like 15 folders and climbing. If you use a lot of PNG format graphics that are bigger than icons your folder will not hold 1000. PNG is a larger format, more like a bmp. Hope this helps.
