Hey everyone.

I've just recently been looking in to making a new site to correspond with the current forum I'm running, and decided to run a freewebs account.

Just yesterday, I spent several hours looking in to how to code html and add them to sites. How to change the text, how to get your header to show and how to get your background to repeat, stay put, or be one solid color.

So, without further pondering, I followed the tutorial at themagic-box.net and got into making a header and background for my own site using PS CS3. Following the magic box tutorial, I headed to lissaexplains.com to get some juicy details of how to put the html onto your site on geocities (which I tried and failed), angelfire, and bravehost. None of these worked, which is how I came up with freewebs. So I signed up, and looked around for the custom html box where I could copy and paste my html and add it to the site. Only - I couldn't find this box. However, I didn't give up, haha. Seeing as tons of people here at A-U have freewebs sites, and have tremendous layouts (not those premade ones), I wanted to ask a couple questions:

1) To add the html do you need to upgrade to premium?

2) If you don't can you give me the directions on how to add the html so the layout can be displayed on my site?

Thanks!
Mel

When you log into your account click on site manager. There should be one page already, index.htm. That will be your main page. You can either make that an enter page or just your main page. You cannot rename that, but you can change it to html or leave it as htm.

If you would like more than one page on your site you have to create another page, and so on. You can name that whatever you like.

Hit the edit button on the page you would like to add code to. A seperate page will pop up. Copy and paste your code in and save.

That is pretty much it. Let me know if you have any more questions.
