Post subject:  How to add background music to a page

I'm going insane.
Cause I can't figure out how to put music on a page!
I found this code:
<embed src="" hidden="false" border="0" width="310" height="45" autostart="true" autoplay="true" loop="false" volume="75%">
(the file is my music file... on mediafire cause my stupid site host apparently doesn't allow music files to be uploaded0
And of course it doesn't work.

Does anyone know how to do it? (I'd really like to figure out a way to make it so one of a few different songs plays when someone goes to the page, but any way of putting music on would be awesome.)
Or know of a site that you can upload music to and get the actual file name?

I was going to suggest doing it with Flash.

But your problem is your URL.

This won't work. You need a direct source, IE,

Because the basic HTML won't be able to handle that link, it brings you to a download page. You either need to find a new host, or find a site that'll let you host a music file. Does Soundcloud offer that sorta thing?

Of course! I knew that!! Stupid brain.
Hehe... thanks for reminding me. :P
Soundcloud only lets you upload stuff you made.
And the song is a part of the lotr soundtrack... soundcloud had a fit about copyright stuff when I tried to upload it. :P

I finally found something that works. It's actually better than my first idea.
^^ the home page of my site.
(it's not finished, so the links don't work.)
It plays a random song when someone goes to the page, (although it seems to have favorites... weird.) and you can make the music stop if it gets annoying.
There are a few bad things though... the songs are from youtube, so it's just like watching a youtube vid... sometimes it stops playing. And the address bar doesn't change... it's rather strange.

*is glad to have sanity back*
(By the way... I'd really like it if someone could go to my site and tell me if the music player works! Although if it doesn't I might beat the computer up with a baseball bat. [just kidding! er... maybe :P)
