Cool it's up now, they look pretty good. 10GB of bandwidth is great for free hosting. I'll add them to the FAQ

^That site is really amaising. It seems to give you your own domain name without anything after is. So insted of having yourname.awardspace.com, it would be yourname.com!!!! It looks interesting enough that I might make it my webhost!

Check again... you have to buy your own domain name. They only offer to host it.

This one's excellent... but it's only for people who are experienced in web design, who want to make a fan site with its own domain but can't pay for it, and for those who are able to update at least once a week. Free domain, free hosting (they give you all that you need), with a few file size restrictions obviously, and your own cPanel. You get all that as long as they accept you. -> http://www.fan-sites.org/

That's right. Awardspace.com is a very good host though. I've been using it for some time now with multiple sites on the same account and I still have plenty of room. Completely free and with no ads.

Fan-sites.org sounds great. I wouldn't be able to keep up with that updating though. ;)

I know this is a late thread but it probably helps to update this with online resources that are fit for the current times.

In line with this, I would also like to introduce a new website builder called hPage and the platform makes it so easy for you to create a a website for free. There are paid packages as well and compared to most website builders, they are pretty cheap at only 4.99 euros a month and that already includes everything like a domain name, custom email address, upgraded business features, etc.

Check them out here: https://www.hpage.com

FAQ: Where is a good place to write Middle Earth fanfic and participate in Middle Earth Roleplayng?
Answer: There is a Middle Earth group hosted on RP Repository.
The site is safe, secure, and actively moderated. Look forward to seeing anyone into Middle Earth, discussion, roleplaying, and fanfiction writing there!
