Oh, boy can I join? If so then I'm going to go ahead and put my submission (since you said due By Decmeber 18.) If I'm not allowed to join then you can just skip over my song. Here's my LotR version of the 12 Days of Christmas On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me the one very powerful ring On the secound day of Christmas my true love gave to me two hobits that can sing and the one very powerful ring On the third day of Christmas my true love gave to me three slashing swords, two hobits that can sing, and the one very powerful ring On the fourth day of Christmas my true love gave to me 4 peices of lambass, three slashing swords, two hobits that can sing, and the one very powerful ring. On the fith day of Christmas my true love gave to me five dark cloaks, four lambass peices, three slashing swords, two hobits that can sing, and the one very powerful ring. On the sixth day of Christmas my true love gave to me six drunk hobits, five dark cloaks, four lambass peices, three slashing swords, two hobits that can sing, and the one very powerful ring. On the seventh day of Christmas my true love gave to me seven bow strings, six drunk hobits, five dark cloaks, four lambass peices, three slashing swords, two hobits that can sing, and the one very powerful ring On the eighth day of Christmas my true lvoe gave to me eight wood arrows, seven bow strings, six drunk hobits, five dark cloaks, four lambass peices, three slashing sowrds, two hobits that can sing, and the one very powerful ring On the nineth day of Christmas my true love gave to me nine pointy hats, eight wood arows, seven bow strings, six drunk hobits, five dark cloaks, four lambass peices, three slashing swords, two hobits that can sing, and the one very powerful ring On the tenth day of Christmas my true love gave to me ten large eagles, nine pointy hats, eight wood arrows, seven bow strings, six drunk hobits, five dark cloaks, four lambass peices, three slashiong sowrds, two hobits that can sing, and the one very pwoerful ring On the eleventh day of Christmas my true love gave to me eleven stomping ents, ten large eagles, nine pointy hats, eight wood arrows, seven bow strings, six drunk hobits, five dark cloaks, four lambass peices, three slashing swords, two hobits that can sing, and the one very powerful ring On the twelfth day of Christmas my true love gave to me twelve riders of Rohan, eleven stomping ents, ten large eagles, nine pointy hats, eight wood arrows, seven bow strings six drunk hobits, five dark cloaks, four lambass peices, three slashing swords, two hobits that can sing, and the one very powerful ring! It's not very good and I let my little sister (in reality) help, with a line or two but it's what I could come up with. This is the first time I've enterexd a contest so if I did something wrong just let me know. Anyway there's my entry (if I can join) and I hope that you liked it. ![]() |

Haha, that is great! I love it! What Ring is This? (Greensleeves/What Child is This?) What ring is this That when did rest On Sauron's hand caused weeping? Bewitching power, battles faught o'er In hobbits trust is keeping? This, this is the one ring From which men will quail and dwarves will squeam. Nine Nazgul are slaves to call, This one, this ring to rule them all. So cast into the mountain hot To melt and destroy its evil. With help from nine and loyal one Dear Frodo heads to Oroudin This, this is the one ring Gone into lava (no more bad bling bling) Heros, now, halflings stand tall They rid us of this ring to rule them all. |

*Ahem* This is my slightly loopy attempt, written on a bit of a sugar high and NOT one of my finest pieces. But I had to have an entry! Goodness, the contest was my idea! So prepare yourself. Oh yeah, and it works better if you sing it to the tune of Jingle Bells. The Ring was gold and shiny 'Twas circular and small Though its size was but tiny Its power ruled them all. Through many hands it passed Of Maia, Hobbit, Man When Frodo found it Gandalf said "Destroy it if you can!" Oh! The wizard went, by Valar sent The dwarf and two men too The hobbits tagged along behind With the elf of old, it's true - yrch! The Fellowship, the banded Nine They traveled many lands They strayed not from the narrow edge With Fate held in their hands! There's more, if anyone wants it...but it's not very good, even worse than that. EDIT: Well, I decided to post it anyway ![]() Through ancient Moria of stone The party made their path They exited there minus one - While the Balrog had a bath! The Steward's son, of Gondor Was noble, tall and brave The Uruk-hai, they shot him down - Sent to a watery grave! Oh! Seven split, bit by bit Now Gollum has a part Their journeys long, not in this song In a book now called great art Sauron died, Gollum tried To bite off Frodo's hand He only got his finger, though Now Elessar ruled the land! As an alternative, I thought about doing "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas" but it came out like this: Have a Merry, Pippin Christmas And a Frodo, Sam one too And then my sister added her two cents: Have a Gandalf, Gimli feature They've got three pink tutus! So that didn't work so well. |

Ok, here is my first entry. I'll have the other one later today. ![]() P.S It's for all you Nazgul's out there. ![]() [To the tune of "Oh, Come All Ye Faithful"] Oh, come all ye Nazgul Dark and evil-icious Oh, come ye, oh, come ye to Minas Morgul Come and behold them Hobbits due for torture Oh, come let us torture Oh, come let us torture Oh, come let us torture Hobbits galore Lord of the Nazgul Evil of the evil Born out of darkness Once of mortal men Servant of Sauron Leading torturer Oh, come let us torture Oh, come let us torture Oh, come let us torture Hobbits galore Screech, choir of Nazguls Screeh in exultation Screech all ye citizens of Minas Morgul For Christmas is coming More hobbits need torturing Oh, come let us torture Oh, come let us torture Oh, come let us torture Hobbits, galore EDIT: Here is my second entry. ![]() [To the tune of "While Shepards Wacthed Their Flocks by night"] While Hobbits cooked their food by night All seated on the ground Nazgul of the Dark Lord came down And slowly circled round “Fear not” said the chief “We just wish, to have a bit of fun The Nazgul Christmas party’s here There is no need to run” “To you, all Hobbit’s here today We would like to invite To join our Nazgul festive bash On this here very night” “A party like you’ve never seen With magnificent black trees Fell Beasts giving Christmas rides And let’s not forget the feast” “Oh, food like you have ever seen Will be there for you Cakes and pies, will greet you eyes All sorts of ales too” The Hobbits liked the sound of this The cakes, the ales, the pies The Christmas trees, (the food there’d be) Danced before their eyes They walked away hand in hand (Which was the Nazgul’s aim) Joyfully the Hobbits skipped But ne’er were seen again (There is something to be learned by this 'Though the Hobbits failed to see Never trust those with Fell Beasts And who have black Christmas trees) |
