This contest is somewhat off the beaten path, but I hope that it's not too weird to merit a few entries.

Sort through your memories... some of us will have to think back six years... to the day you first watched The Fellowship of the Ring. Can you re-capture your first impressions, the things that made you laugh, the things that made you cry, the things that made your eyes widen as you breathed "wow"?

Basically, this contest is a challenge to try to remember your first impressions of FotR, and make a wallpaper based off of that. If you can't remember very clearly, that's alright; just do the best you can. ;-)

Rules:
- The graphic must use pictures from The Fellowship of the Ring, and no other LotR movie. You can add textures, nature pictures, etc., so long as it has at least one image from FotR.
- The graphic must be a wallpaper; dimensions, 800x600
- One entry per person, please
- The graphic must contain the word "impression" or "impressions" somewhere on it. I don't care if you just use the single word, include it in a sentence of your own... be creative! As long as the word is there, even if it's quoting a song or poem, it's fine. :)
- The graphic must in some way reflect your impressions of The Fellowship of the Ring.
- I'm not going to force this one on you, but it would certainly make me happier if you had fun. ;-)

Deadline:
- Please try to have your entry in by December 16, 2007. I may change this if people need more time.

Me too :P I kept getting Aragorn and Boromir confused, and I didn't even know most of the other character's names. >.<

I can remember it really well actually. I remember thinking Frodo looked really scary when he got up from reading and that the shire looked EXACTLY like I'd imagined... that the uru-kai were really weird... that I couldn't wait to see the next one when it was over and that it was unlike anything I'd ever seen before. It was the first movie I ever REALLY liked (besides Dracula when I was little, but that was more the character than the movie).

Wow. Good memories. I will try to enter. :)

*laughs* I know a lot of people who were confused their first time through. Each time I went to see it in the theater I heard people behind me explaining it to their confused friends.

I'll enter too! My first time watching I felt really surreal, and reflective. I read the whole series in sixth grade so I kind of remembered what was happening, the movie just made a lot more sense. (give me a break I was only 12 when I read it! ) :duh:

That wallie is incredible! :blink: How on earth do you blend Arwen like that?! I've seen a few other people blend that way, but I've never figured out how. :huh:

I did an online tutorial on masking layers. :D after that it was just matching them up right. I'm glad you like it so much, it really made my day to read your comment. :)
