You're rather eager to start more contests, aren't you? xD Not a bad thing of course. |

I was actually hoping to barter this off to someone else, to admit, because I don't know what scheduling will be like for the last semester of of senior year (woot!). And, I know that there are a lot of people out there that would love to run a contest. |

Hmm... erm... I'm on the fence on this one. I LOVE photography, and I'm pretty proud of some of the pictures I have taken... but... eh... when they get made into graphics you hardly see the original picture anymore, it's all textures or super-duper ways to enhance the colour, the lighting etc. So if you're on about contests that you have to make graphics out of pictures, then I think there should be some rules about how you can edit them. However.... If you mean simply "take a picture of this subject" then yeah baby! ![]() The only editing my photo's get is sometimes if they are too dark I brighten them or if they're too light I darken them. (And that's only because I put them on my graphics site for other people to use, otherwise I'd leave them as they are). |

I think it sounds cool! I bet it would be pretty popular, so it could be a good idea to put a limit on number of participants, to make it easier on the voters. lol |

That is just what I was taking about, because I would love to take more photos also.. and we would have to allow some Photoshopping... with lighting and such. Should the contests be of certain objects, or themes? And.. should I run it? Or would someone else like to? |

Well perhaps then, just so we know exactly what's been done to the photo, there could be posted and before and after? Slight tweaking of colours I think is OK, and adjusting the brightness, but now shiny glows and things like that. I think themes would be good as it might give more people a chance to take part. If the object were say... $10 note... that might limit people.... ![]() And there could be TONS of themes; trees, flowers, sunset, clouds, town scenes, buildings etc. I could do it if you want. ![]() |

I do like the before and after idea. Very awesome. Do you have a contest? That would be so sweet if you have one... |

Welll I don't have a contest right at the moment, but I've handled a couple of my own in the past and a fair few of other people's. ![]() Also I think the size of the photo would be important. Having them their original 3000+ size would be a bit too much, as even the best photo's don't look as nice whe they're huge. |

I would say wallpaper size. I believe a photo is best viewed when the entire photo can be viewed on the screen. |

Yes, I agree with you there. When they're massive you can see all the fuzzyness that otherwise is not there. ![]() |

They probably should be a size range... 600x400 to 800x600. Just because of the different cameras. Are you going to take on the contest? |

If we give people a choice of the two, then I think that should be Ok. Yes, if you want me to. ![]() |
