Post subject:  Would you be interrested in a Disney contest?
The title says it all! :P

I think Disney animation movies are a great source to make funny and creative contests!
I know that a lot of contests had been made about Disney movies but I wanted to set on a sort of "round" contest you know: like "best female character" "best male character" "best song" best supporting character" "best set" (timX4 inspired me with her "for your consideration" contest ;))

Anyway, if this was to be up, I"d like to have an idea of how many people would be interrested! ;)

That would be really fun. I would participate, although, you do have to take into consideration that it is not as easy to find pictures of Disney movies.

I think this would be a good idea for a series on contests.

There was a Robin Hood one last year sometimes, and that's quite an old film. I found a site which is dedicated to Disney and has galleries for all the films. You have to join to use the pictures, but it is free and easy. I'll post the link.

You have to remember also, that wehn Disney bring out their special editions of older films, people then tend to screencap them, so I don't think finding pictures will be a big problem. If you have any DVD's yourselves, you may be able to screencap them.

Yeah, in fact I don't know why but since I found I could do screencaps myself, I use it all the time but surely, to work well we need anyone to find pics easily...
I will do some research on the net and if I find interresting galleries then it'll be OK! ;)

I believe it they are themes like "best song" and such, it really shouldn't be a problem, but, if they are going to be movies, we really do need to stick with the movies that Disney had released in the special editions.

Well perhaps we could wait until we see what galleries people manage to find before we decide what films or themes we can and can't have. :-)

As for sites, if you look at the ones you already have, usually they have links or affiliates who have similar things. Also, LJ usually has screencap communities that you can look through to find good caps. That's where I get most of mine.

I think it is safe to say, we have a good variety of sites with screencaps now. Unless you want screencaps for a film Disney have yet to make.... I don't see there being a problem with images. ;)

*applause* I absolutely love Disney movies! When I was a kid I would stuff bananas in my mouth every time we watched "Gungle Book." Those are good memories.
