LOTR Chapter Contest- Round One
So this contest may sound a little bit crazy. It came to my mind last night while I was re-reading the Fellowship of the Ring, and I thought "Why not making a contest about the chapters of the books, I mean, that's were it all started in the end..."
So I thought a bit about it, and came up with something like this:
Every round will deal with a Lord of the Rings chapter, following the order of the books. I will provide you:
-a summary of what happens in the considered chapter (I'm sure we all know what happens, but it's better to have a summary I guess).
-some quotes from the considered chapter that you can use in your entries.
Now, what you will have to do, is, to make some sort of presentation to the considered chapter. The entries have to consist of 2/3 parts(you can for example do a banner and a wallpaper, or a banner and an avatar, or a blend and a wallpaper...whatever you feel like doing!!) that you can choose between:
-wallpaper
-banner (you can choose the size)
-avatars
-signature sets
-blends
-something original you have in your mind? just tell me
of course you can use the movie screen captions from the scene we're considering, but you can also use other kind of pictures, whatever it comes to your mind, with no limits.
I hope this was clear, if not, don't hesitate to ask me futher informations. I also hope some of you will find it a nice idea.

The story begins with the eleventy-first birthday party of Mr. Bilbo Baggins, a hobbit who has been a bit of a celebrity in the shire for many years. He is a wealthy hobbit and he has many friends and admirers. One of his younger cousins is Frodo Baggins who Bilbo has adopted as an heir. Since Frodo and Bilbo have the same birthday (September 22) they plan to share a party and a lot of excited gossip precedes the party. Bilbo is leaving for the city of the elves, which is known as Rivendell and he has left everything to his heir, Frodo. It is the wise wizard Gandalf who convinces Bilbo that he should also turn over the magical ring that he had won from a creature called Gollum. By this time, however, Bilbo is already a little attached to the ring.
Bilbo offers the ring to Gandalf but in the end Gandalf suggests that the ring be given to Frodo. Some of the other belongings are distributed to neighbors, friends and relatives. Gandalf remains with Frodo and Bilbo heads off on his new adventure. This is really not a permanent farewell and three will be reunited quite a while later.
