Official AU Hallowfest Contest I: Carving Contest
The aim of the game: to carve a pumpkin in the traditonal manner (for the dummies out there - this means with a knife)</center>
Rules
- If you don't know what the Hallowfest is you can't enter.... Ok, so maybe you can... but check out this <a href="http://arwen-undomiel.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19332&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0" target="_blank">thread</a> anyway.
- Unlimited amount of contestants.
- If you enter one of the Official Hallowfest contests, you are welcome to enter any of the others.
- Entires must be PM'd to me from October 17th until October 24th only. Please make sure you add which contest you are entering (e.g 01, 02, 03)
- This is a carving contest, ergo you will need an actual pumpkin to carve your design into [the more traditional carving vegetable in some countries before the Americanization took over *cough* was actually the turnip. As such I feel we should show a friendly acknowledgement to this forgotten and neglected member of the brassicaceae family, so entries featuring this noble root vegetable will also be accepted]
- Photograph your pumpkin, both in the daylight and at night when it is lit so as to give the idea of how well it has been carved and whether you can actually see the design or not.
- All designs accepted. There is no need to be traditonal and go for the toothy grin or grimace. Be as creative and extravagant as you like. But no slogans like Severus Snape Lives!.. eh what?... darnnit... [snaps fingers] .... *ahem* ... or anything like that. Images only please.
- Hint: Make sure you get your design on paper first so you know exactly what your doing before you start to carve. We don't want any pumpkins sacraficing themselves in the name of a failed effort.
- And most importantly.... enjoy yourselves!
