Earwen: You're free to making any type of contest as long as it abides to the contest rules stated in the first post. :)

I have a question -- can a person who starts a contest also compete in the same contest?

Oh, and another thing; how is a contest judged? Thanks to anyone who can help me!

It's entirely up to you whether you enter a contest that you started. :-) Whatever you feel like doing.

Usually contests are judged by other members - when all the entries are in, a voting thread is started and usually members are asked to vote for their 3 favourites and an honourable mention (there sometimes are usually more votes allowed if there are lots of entries).

I think that is pretty much the best way to judge entries. :-)

Can some of those huge contests be unstickied already??? The stickies are taking up almost the entire first page, that's so annoying! Why do award pages even have to be stickied? You can just link to them from the contests so they would never get lost... not to mention those are all extremely old Christmas contests...
:erm:

Oh, my. I completely forgot about the awards for some of those contests. Yikes. I have been so busy since I started them.

I'll ask Kit if she can unstick the contests as soon as I have the awards made and the voting threads can quite happily get lost. :p
