Hello and welcome to the voting for the very first round of the Lord of the Rings Contest.  The aim of this round was to create a banner, using only images, textures, brushes etc but NO text, that suited the quote "all you have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to you". So with this rounds challenge in mind please vote accordingly.

Seriously, that Legolas banner.. I know that started the whole animation craze here but I still think it's the most beautiful thing I have seen in a long time... It's so well-balanced and perfect and I don't even like movie-Legolas.

1st Place: Taurquande (It's so simple, but still just breathtaking. And it so easily just breaks my heart. GAH!)
2nd Place: JF (Another heartbreaking one - that scene kills me every time. I like it because it seems rare to me that people include teh Merry and Pippin in making graphics of that scene)
3rd Place: Ammy (I love the splash of colour!)
4th Place: Nurr (Simple, but done beautifully. Pippin and Gandalf ftw!)
5th Place: Pan (Ze animation that took over teh woooorrld!  Fabulous!)
Honourable Mention: Haldir
HURRAH for LOTR graphics! Even graphics of the most depressing of scenes.
