It's a freehand cut-out tool. You just cut out what you want, and paste it onto the picture. Sometimes the edges are a bit sharp, and I can see that pirateoftherings softened them with the paintbrush most excellently. You can be quite tricky with paint if you know how to manipulate it! Oh - Thanks so much! I know about the freehand cut-out tool - but I don't think I have paintbrush to soften the edges . . . anyway, when I do copy and paste pics onto Paint, they come out with pretty bad quality. Oh well.

Nor does mine. I don't know if you were trying to discredit me, or were sincerely confused, but I assure you I have the same plain-jane Paint program that anyone else here has. The only reason some of it's as smooth as it is would be because for the first several months that I was making graphics, all I had was Paint. During that time, I learned to do dot-by-dot blending using only slight color differences to make it look smoother. Sorry if it looks questionable, but you have my word that it's just experience.

Oh - I wasn't trying to discredit you - I'm sorry if you think I was! I believe you - I've also tried doing dot-by-dot blending - but the dots are just so big and irregular that on my graphics, they're very noticeable.

Ahh . . . just to let you know, I've done graphics on Paint myself, and they can't compare to yours or anyone else's that ran in this contest. I hope that makes you feel a bit better?
I'm not sure if you will get an award - sometimes you do get Honorable Mention even if you lost, but I don't know what keyodie has in mind.

No actually, Ellethwen, if you look real closely, there is a part of the background that is more grayer than the others, so that was made with paint by having a simaler colored background. Probably.

Well, my banners not doing so well either. I actually thought it was really good, though, but my banners are never very popular.
