Thanks for clarifying, smeag. But I don't think we should do them back to back. That's a long time, especially if you're on a family computer and/or TV, and sleep-depriving, if you're on the other side of the globe.
We could use the chat, but I remembered this, too.

It might be a bit easier, because it doesn't require anyone to re-register.

That is true. I always forget about timezones.
That is so cool! I want to use that more often.

*sneaks in*
Being the observant individual that I am, I just noticed that y'all mentioned the trivia. Regarding that, I have a confession to make.
*cough*
I won it two years ago and never did a trivia contest for last year. I had very good intentions - even had all the FotR questions written out - but there just didn't seem to be very high interest in the contest. If everyone wants a trivia contest this year, I can try to run it, seeing as I still owe one. But yeah, that's why no one remembers who won last year.

Lol. If you want to run it, it would seem like you would be the honorary member to run it.

For the trivia - is it the previous AU Scholar who makes it? I wasn't around for the last one, and last year's seemed to have gone unnoticed...
If you want any help with that - Im open

It is tradition to have the scholar do it, but it isn't necessary. You will have to discuss with PotR on that one.
Hmm... when should the Hobbit Ball threads go up?

Okay, I think I understand everything now. Thanks so very much for explaining everything to me, smeagollum! Would it be all right for me to help with the Balls?

I have a question, you guys! If I helped out with anything, what would I have to do? Would I have to make contests for the certain topic that I'm running or what?

In terms of the theme, I would presume that there would be two contests, one race themed and the other place themed.

Hmm... alright. There wouldn't happen to be any examples of previous threads that held the contests from years before, would there?

Oh, I know how it's set up. Like I said, I had it half done last year before it started looking like no one wanted to have one.
I'm indifferent as to whether I manage the one this year. If everyone wants one, and we need someone to manage it, I can certainly give it a shot. I'm just not set on doing it.

You could help me with the Hobbit Ball.
PotR - Why don't we set up a poll for who would be interested?
