AU Being Slow?

Post subject:  AU Being Slow?
Is it just me or is AU being deadly slow and having trouble loading things? I've noticed it a lot, even when there's very few members online. Pages won't load for ages, or just refuse to do so at all. It gets very frustrating, especially if you're only doing a flying visit. So, is anyone else having the same problem, and are there any known solutions, or will it just pass?

I've been having the same problem. AU always takes about 5x longer to load than any of my other sites that I visit frequently :( And also, I have been having trouble posting lately...I frequently need to refresh 3/4 times.

My poor AU :( *huggles it*

It's been happening to me for such a long time now, I would feel strange not copying and pasting each post in case the page failed to load, or refreshing the page or closing the internet down.

I'm used to it now. :-)

Mine is the same way. :P Actually, Este and I talked about this yesterday. XD

But I'm the same as you JF, I copy all of my posts just in case. :P Kind of getting used to it.

Hrm, I thought it was just my dial-up internet...

I always have to copy and paste to get it to post.

I hope this isn't on the track to an AU crash. I don't know what I'll do. :hide:

I've also had the same problem as you, Este for weeks already. I thought it was just my comp, cuz posting anything on A-U or looking at A-U topics takes me so much longer than on any other sites I visit..

I guess it's just one of those things then. :lol: I definitely copy and paste my posts though, but I never remembered AU being quite so slow. :confused:

Me too. It's terrible. We just got high speed, and i've been racing around. But it always takes 5x more time to do anything on A-U. It has some speedy moments, but their rare...

hmmm, well, I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one. I heard some of you guys talking about this on the WT, and I have to say I've noticed it too. :erm: At first I just thought it was my computer (even with high speed! because our compy has been doing dumb things lately anyway...), but I guess not. Although lately (as I've been on here tonight, that is) it's gotten a little better... I haven't noticed it doing anything weird actually. But during the daytime (for me) it's slow, or it says the page can't be displayed, or it says it's loading but it never goes, or the other things you guys have noticed. :blink: anyway, so at least I'm already in the habit of copying and pasting all my posts too. :P

It's gotten really bad for me in the last month. If I'm lucky I can get a page to load on the fourth try, and then it takes over a minute. This is definitely the worst it's ever been. :yes:

A-U was really bad this morning. I didn't even bother trying after every page failed to load. Even after six or seven refreshes...

I agree. I tried to get on before school and there was about 2 people online, and it just wouldn't log me in. It just crashed a lot. :confused: 'Tis annoying, for sure.

Last night I couldn't connect to the server at all for thirty minutes straight. It was terrifying. :yes:
