Post subject:  A voting section?
I think it would be nice if there was a section specifically for voting under the Contests section. Where all the Voting topics for Contests would go. That might make the Contests section a little less crowded and maybe people would get votes faster.

Just a suggestion.

^you know? I kind of like that idea, Bala. that would totally help free up a lot of space in the Contest section and it would help voting threads not get pushed down to the second page so quickly.... :yes: hmmm, I'm not sure about anyone else but I like the idea.

Yeah, voting topics do usually end up knocked to the 2nd or 3rd page. And then people don't notice them...So hopefully The Staff like this idea. :)

That is a brilliant idea, Bala! And you're right, it's hard to sift through all of the threads and post where votes are desperately needed. I think it would help out a lot.

Hmm, I do try and update the contests thread as much as I can, so people can check to see which voting threads are new, but I can't always be up-to-date..hmm... it's a pity voting threads couldn't have coloured titles, like red, so they stand out from all the others. Then they'd be easier to spot.

Your Contest Thread is very helpful JF. I just think a Voting Section would standout more. I'm sure alot of people overlook the thread for it. Colored titles would be awesome. Just making a new section for Voting would probably be more simple though. :)

I'm thinking the Mods might actually find it easier to not have a voting section (although it would be a big help) and I think Arwen would probably have to do that, and she hasn't been around for a while.

Well, as I said, it was just a suggestion. Not really sure why the Mods would find it difficult, but I wouldn't know.

Hopefully someday this can happen. It would be alot more useful then the Fangorn(Signatures and Avvies) Section. Especially with the rather large amount of contests being started these days. :-D

Hi guys! I figured I'd drop in.... :teehee:

So, great idea....umm... But I don't know how we (the moddies) would do this....We'll keep this on the table for further discussion...However,It sounds like an Arweb thing, however, she has been very busy lately....

Bala: You brought up the Signatures and Avvies section, awhile ago we had a member vote whether or not to take out that section and the members voted to keep it....*shrugs*

I'm just happy a Mod popped in and liked the idea. Maybe when Arweb has the time this can work out quite nicely. Thank you for the support Sida. :-D

I don't dislike the sigs and Avvies Section, and it doesn't bother me. I just think a Voting section would be ALOT more on the useful side. ;)

Sid: I think we may want to throw another vote for that section because as debateable as is was in the past, it has grown even further into the gray territory.

That sounds like a good idea, i agree, lots of the voting threads do get pushed down right atfer being posted, and I hate posting in it again just to bring i up to peoples attention.

What I don't like even more in the contests threads being pushed down by the voting threads.

That doesn't happen as much as the Voting threads getting pushed back though, and it is harder to get Votes then participants.

But a Voting Section would help for any Contests being pushed back as well.
