Um.. I am going to be gone for a few days next week, but that should be it.

<center>[font=Arial, sans-serif]Graphic Makers Cookoff[/font] July 7th-July 13th The time has come to mark your calendars for the first ever AU Graphic Makers Cookoff. It will take place from July 7th-July 13th, but, as of right now, we need to get the word out. We need to see who is attendind, and we need to order all of the different events. As in, right now, there is going to be the main cookoff. Meaning, who can make the most graphics in the designated timeframe. However, I beleive there was notice of daily competitions, in which the winners of these will recieve even more points to be Offical "[insert the title I haven't thought of here]" So.. just have a few minor details to think up, but that should be it. Please help here in showing the number of points, you believe, should be given to each: Quote: POINT TOTALS:

Basically.... it is just a sloganing term. What will happen is, during this week, we are going to measure who can make graphics the fastest. So, Cookoff=fastest made graphics. However, there will be different point levels for graphics because, for example, it does not take as long to make an avatar as it does a wallpaper. Then, on the side, there will be contests that will also contribute. They will be day long. Start in the morning, end at night, and be judged by a panel of pre-determined judges. The winners of these should recieve more points for their image than just the preselected bunch. However, I haven't worked out point titles just yet. |

Hmm.. I personally think there should be more of a gap between everything. I say Avatars: 1 point Banners: 4 points Blends (600x400): 8 points Blends (700x500): 12 points Wallpapers (800x600): 16 points Colorizations: 16 points (I think this catergory will have to be divided by the status of the color) Retouch: 12 points |

Maybe we could have appointed non-graphic-making judges that award points for everything based on appearance and speed both, because it's easy to crop a picture into a certain sized-canvas whereas it's not so easy to add effects to the picture and blend it with other things and I don't think it would be fair to award the same points for each. |

I think maybe we should make a thread here or in the contest section titled 'Cookoff Judges Needed!' and have criteria. Participants aren't allowed to judge, etc. etc. I might be able to get Tar to do it. But she's in Puerto Rico right now. |
