Uh, I'm brand new here and I was just wondering why I haven't recieved any e-mails at all. I didn't get one to let me know that I was accepted as a member and the two poems I posted I clicked on the box to be notified by e-mail when people reply, but no joy. Is it just me, or is something going on? If anyone can answer this, I will be eternally grateful!

I don't think anyone gets a confirmation email with the new registration system, as your account gets validated right away. As for your posts, possibly the emailing system is just a bit slow, or it glitches sometimes. But I'm sure someone else can give you a more enlightening answer on this

Did you get the notification emails from your subscribed topics now? I admit I have no idea how to fix it or why it wouldn't send you notifications when you've subscribed... Sorry for the inconvenience and do let us know if it still doesn't work. We'll figure it out.

I also noticed, I don't see a button for other members to e-mail me if they wish to even though I have check to see if I have that maked "yes" for showing that.

Every so often I check the admin panel to see if there are users who haven't activated themselves yet, and if they look like valid new members, I activate the account myself to speed things along...which appears to be what I did for you, Neniel. I'm not sure why you haven't been getting e-mails - have you checked your spam filter? Has anyone else who's tried to subscribe to topics experienced problems receiving e-mails? (I don't subscribe to any topics...because I don't like getting that many e-mails, so I wouldn't know  )As to your e-mail address not showing up on your profile, this is actually a forum-wide safeguard. Your e-mail address is kept completely private, except to staff members. I suppose I could disable this if people really want to be able to e-mail fellow members, but I always figured PMing was good enough... |

I just subscribed to this topic - and got an e-mail. This is the first time I subscribe to any topics with the new system so I wouldn't know if there were problems though..
