Hi all,
I've found this place while looking for Elvish equivalent(s) to my real-world name - Nazar.
Some background. It's a common name here in Ukraine, but I'm sure it has non-Slavic roots.
There's a Turkish amulet against the evil eye, they call it nazar -
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazar_%28amulet%29Same source says - the word "nazar" is derived from the Arabic "sight" or "seeing".
In Azerbaijan this word means "intent look" or "gaze".
Slavic semantics for the name Nazar: majestic/sublime, rough, courageous, powerful, cold, mighty, loud, brave, pervasive, bright.
Is there any Elvish equivalent(s) to my name?
