If I look at another member's profile page it has "Most active Forum" and "Most active Topic" and tells how many posts in each category.

However, I do not see this option when viewing my own profile... why is that and is there any way to get that info? If anyone knows. I was sure I had got that info for my own profile in times past but now I can not seem to figure how that might work.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

If you go to your Control Panel and in the 'Overview', in the 'Activity' section where it lists your total posts, it gives your percentage of all posts and posts per day stats, and right under that is the 'Show Your Posts' link.

Yeah, but I was looking for the "Most Active Topic" and "Most active Forum" catagories. Like in this picture below. Your profile when I view it has these options while mine does not. I am sure I used to have those on mine as well... but I have no idea why or when that changed...

Ah, I guess I didn't get what you meant. I based my reply on the title of your thread.
And you're right, your profile doesn't have those two 'active' bits when I look at it either.
I'd post a screenshot but I'm too lazy. Maybe it's buried somewhere in the 'Preferences'?
I had a quick look-see, but didn't see any obvious setting for it.

No worries. I wasn't sure what else to title it. :P

Yeah, that is what I was thinking but I looked at everything and never saw something to change it. It's possible I missed it, but there was certainly nothing that I found that changed it. I might as a mod on facebook if I can't figure it out.

I'm a bit puzzled about my post count. I remember it being 44 yesterday, I've posted several times today, but the count has only gone up to 45.

When I click on "View you posts" I get a two-page list with 39 entries - but that's the number of threads I've posted in, and I know I have several posts is several threads of "The Misty Mountains" as well as "House of Bombadil".

There may be an issue with my Firefox browser's script restriction settings, I'll see if I get that message when I post this.

May be something to do with posting directly or going to full editor?

OK, testing that *bleep* message again buy editing and submitting.

Some of the forums, and I think maybe it's just 'Bombadil' but there may be others, where posts aren't counted.
I think it is left over from the busy days when the spammy posts like 'count to 1000' and the letter games and such was used to rack up post count to get different levels.
Posting in Books, Movies, RP, Life, etc does add to post count.

Durian is correct. Anything posted in the misc.. randomness section does not count towards your total post count. You can view your total including those posts, however if you search user posts from your own profile at the top left hand side of the page it will say "Search found (insert number) matches." For example I have actually 18427 but only 17133 on my profile.

OK, thanks, guys. I must have more or less accidentally been on the "Search" link once, but as happens often when I'm doodling randomly I forget my "path". But since I'm a games nerd, I'll continue to spend quite a bit of time in the randomness sections. :-D

Jax – Your "Most Active Forum" and "Most Active Topic" stats don’t show up when I look at them either. I’ve screencapped yours and Hanasians. Interesting. Maybe it’s because you have so many??? :P Maybe you're just special? :notworthy:
