I’m trying to update my resume to apply for Personal Support Worker positions, but I’m not sure what employers really want to see. I’ve heard that just listing duties isn’t enough anymore. Has anyone found good examples or tips that helped make their resume stand out? |

When I started job hunting for PSW roles, I felt completely overwhelmed by all the resume advice online. It’s hard to know what to highlight—experience, skills, or personal qualities? I even helped my cousin update her resume, and we struggled until we found some clear examples to guide us. It makes a big difference to see a well-structured resume that feels real, not like a boring checklist. |

I felt the same way when I was working on my resume. What really helped was exploring some psw resume samples on https://jobssite.ca/crafting-an-impressive-personal-support-worker-resume/. They explain how to structure everything clearly—from writing a warm, strong summary to highlighting soft skills like patience, empathy, and teamwork. The examples feel real and human, not stiff or robotic, which helped me make my own resume more relatable. It definitely made me feel more confident about sending it out. |
