Do we have AU slang? But if it is hard to understand that would be good idea. If you'd like to make a post about it Lady Artemis I'll sticky it for you. |

A-U slang... Do you mean things like, lol and such or more inside jokes, like the WT's cake and popcorn and the Nazgul Club's cacti muffins? |

^Mmm... Cacti muffins!! Anyhoo... maybe she means stuff like "btw", WOOt" snd others of the sort. Though I don't think "btw" is very confuzzling. *scratches head* |

Well, we have all the stuff about the WT and NC in general, plus family tree issues. I can see how it might be a little confusing for newbies, but I'm not sure where our definitions would start - some things you just have to find out by posting around. |

I think it's a great idea! Specially for newbies (I'm still one) and for the people who don't have english as first language (and I saw there are many people from so many different countries here...). Some stuff like "btw" is obvious for people who speak english, but not for the others... |

Btw was obvious for me, cause everybody is using it in the Netherlands. No idea why... I think it's a good idea, but where to start... |

They're quite good, you should try one ![]() The thread is perhaps a good idea. I'm still not sure exactly what would be on it other than "btw", "WT" and "NC". |

Jo posted something like that on the old forum, a collection of 'slang' terms, and smilies, I believe ![]() |

I also think that that would be a good idea.. it would make it all a bit easier for new people. |

Yes. I must admit it took me a good year to realise what "btw" stood for. I knew what it meant - I picked up on that from context, but asides from that, the letters meant nothing to me. I felt very stupid when I finally twigged. ![]() |

^ I never knew what BTW meant. Never. I still don't know what "Rotfl" means...can anyone enlighten me..? But a slang thread would be great for newcomers..and old geezers like me... ![]() |
